Four Premier League goalkeepers nominated for Yasin Award
Alisson, Emi Martinez, Matz Sels and David Raya have been nominated for the 2025 Yashin trophy - named after former Dynamo Moscow goalkeeper and Ballon d'Or winner Lev Yashin - is awarded to the best performing goalkeeper of the previous won the maiden edition of the award in 2019, while Martinez is looking to pick up the trophy for a third time after winning in both 2023 and 2024. It is a first-time nomination for both David Raya and Matz Sels, who shared the Premier League Golden Glove in 2025.

Six goalkeepers set to for big transfers this summer Mike Maignan – AC Milan Chelsea saw talks break down for Mike Maignan earlier in the summer window, with the West Londoners surprisingly unwilling to meet Milan's modest asking price. Maignan has just 12 months to run on his deal at the San Siro and the Italian side will not want to run the risk of losing the France international for free in 2026. With an asking price of around just £25m and several sides in search of a goalkeeper, Maignan should attract interest before the deadline for deals. Advertisement The 29-year-old has been one of Europe's best goalkeepers in recent seasons. He has won three Goalkeeper of the Year awards across spells in Ligue 1 and Serie A. Emiliano Martinez – Aston Villa Emiliano Martinez's emotional farewell to the Aston Villa fans at the end of last season hinted at change this summer. The Argentina international could be a casualty of PSR requirements at Villa with the expectation that he will move on. Manchester United are interested in the 32-year-old, while Saudi Pro League sides have enquired about the two-time Yashin Award winner. His exit would be a big blow to Unai Emery but could be necessary as The Villans look for funds to rebuild. Djordje Petrovic – Chelsea Djordje Petrovic impressed on loan at Strasbourg last season, joining Chelsea's sister club after being squeezed out at Stamford Bridge. Aaron Ramsdale – Southampton Aaron Ramsdale might have suffered a third career relegation from the Premier League last season but it's unlikely to have overly dented his reputation. The 27-year-old remains an interesting option for sides in search of a new goalkeeper this summer and has a £20m release clause in his Southampton contract. Advertisement Last season, Ramsdale did his utmost amid poor protection. He ranked second in the Premier League for saves (120) behind a porous Saints defence. Just four seasons ago, Ramsdale was named in the PFA Team of the Year after helping Arsenal to Champions League qualification. West Ham, Leeds United and Galatasaray are among those credited with interest. James Trafford – Burnley James Trafford's record-breaking feats with Burnley have placed his name in the sights of recruiters. Newcastle United have opened talks to sign Trafford, who was an integral part of Burnley's promotion to the Premier League. After a challenging first campaign in the Premier League, the drop into the second tier provided Trafford with a platform to regroup. Marcin Bulka – Nice A towering presence with just 12 months to run on his deal, it's some surprise more clubs are not actively chasing Marcin Bulka. The 6ft 6in shot-stopper helped Nice to Champions League qualification with the French side boasting one of Ligue 1's best defensive records. Bulka ranks in the top 15% of goalkeepers in Europe's top five leagues for crosses stopped, percentage of crosses stopped, long pass completion percentage and saves per 90. It's underlying data that points to a successful modern goalkeeper.
