Entertainment gossip and news from Newsweek's network of contributors The animated anthology film "Predator: Killer of Killers" releases Friday, June 6, and Hulu has just released the first full clip from the feature. The clip takes place in the middle of a battle between one of the titular hunters and a number of Viking warriors. You can watch the clip below. Read More: 'A Minecraft Movie' Hits HBO Max for Free Streaming in June: What to Know For fans of the "Predator" franchise, one of the first major noteworthy differences is that this Yautja seems to be quite a bit larger than most of the creatures we've seen on screen. Fans will also no doubt notice that he seems to have a cybernetic appendage where his right hand should be. "Predator: Killer of Killers" "Predator: Killer of Killers" 20th Century Studios This is only one of at least three Predators viewers will encounter in "Predator: Killer of Killers". Along with the Yautja hunter in this clip, at least one will be battling samurai and ninja in Japan, while a third will be taking on combat pilots in World War II. "Predator: Killers of Killers" is directed by Dan Trachtenberg and Micho Robert Rutare, and written by Rutare. Trachtenberg previously directed the 2022 "Predator" prequel film, "Prey". Trachtenberg has made sure this year would be a busy one for the "Predator" franchise. Along with "Killer of Killers", Trachtenberg directed the live-action film "Predator: Badlands," which releases in theaters in November. Trachtenberg talked to ComicBook back in April about exactly how "Killer of Killers" came to be. "I had three very cool ideas," Trachtenberg said. "One of them, the first one, the one I was the most excited about at the time, was 'Badlands.' But then there was this other thing, that was 'Prey,' [that] was really cool." "We got to put the Predator in these different time periods and tell that story. I think the thing that made 'Prey' special, though, wasn't just Predator in a different time period, it was that the story we were telling was made better by the story of the Predator, and I didn't want to just throw them into a different time period." "I really wanted to figure out, if we were to do that kind of thing again, how could it be special? And what's the kind of story we could tell that could be equally badass and awesome, but also emotional and thematic and character-oriented?" "In thinking about the different time periods, I honed in on the idea of, what if we made an animated movie where we could express ourselves in a way that we don't get to see?" "We've now had all these Predator movies and we're doing this one that's crazy different, but still with all the stuff..." "The other side of the coin that I love in Predator movies is that hard-R, crazy carnage. Wouldn't it be cool to see that in a different medium? So we made this movie, 'Killer of Killers,' at the exact same time, stupidly, but awesomely." "Predator: Killer of Killers" streams on Hulu on Friday, June 6. New 'Predator' Trailer Cuts A Bloody Trail Through History
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Entertainment gossip and news from Newsweek's network of contributors In 2022's "Prey", director Dan Trachtenberg took the story of the "Predator" hunters all the way back to the 18th century. So what could be better than a "Predator" movie that goes back to a historical time period? How about one that goes back to three historical time periods, all across the world? Such a film is the animated "Predator: Killer of Killers," and Hulu just released a new trailer for the feature. You can watch it below. Read More: 'Predator', All Of The Movies Ranked From Worst To Best The official synopsis for "Predator: Killer of Killers" reads "The anthology story follows three of the fiercest warriors in human history: a Viking raider guiding her young son on a bloody quest for revenge; a ninja in feudal Japan who turns against his Samurai brother in a brutal battle for succession; and a WWII pilot who takes to the sky to investigate an otherworldly threat to the Allied cause. But while all these warriors are killers in their own right, they are merely prey for their new opponent — the ultimate killer of killers." "Predator: Killer of Killers" "Predator: Killer of Killers" 20th Century Studios Like "Prey", "Predator: Killer of Killers" will go straight to streaming and premiere on Hulu. But when it comes to the deadly Yautja, "Killer of Killers" isn't the only game in town this year. On November 6, "Predator: Badlands" releases in theaters. Unlike "Killer of Killers", "Badlands" is live-action and won't go straight to streaming. The film stars Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi as Dek, a young Predator who is outcast from his tribe for being smaller than your average Yautja. Elle Fanning joins him as Thia, an android. Together, they hunt something that Thia insists cannot be killed. We don't know what that something is just yet, but the first teaser for the film ends with a large, kaiju-sized creature rushing at Dek. But before you see "Badlands" in theaters, make sure to check out "Predator: Killer of Killers" from the comfort of your own couch. "Predator: Killer of Killers" is directed by Dan Trachtenberg, with Josh Wassung serving as co-director. The film is written by Micho Robert Rutare and the story is by Trachtenberg and Rutare. The film is scheduled to stream on Hulu on Friday, June 6. 'Alien: Earth' Horror Sci-Fi Series Announces Premiere Date
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. Entertainment gossip and news from Newsweek's network of contributors We finally know exactly when we can expect xenomorphs and their new buddies to start their trademark carnage on Hulu and FX. As reported by The Hollywood Reporter, "Alien: Earth" will have a two episode premiere, releasing the first pair of episodes on Tuesday, August 12 on Hulu and FX. International fans will be able to watch the episodes on Disney+. After the premiere, episodes will release one at a time weekly. Read More: 'Alien' Movies Ranked from Worst to Best Along with the premiere date, "Alien: Earth" released some new images from the series. you can see them below. In this Corporate Era, cyborgs (humans with both biological and artificial parts) and synthetics (humanoid robots with artificial intelligence) exist alongside humans. But the game is changed when the wunderkind Founder and CEO of Prodigy Corporation unlocks a new technological advancement: hybrids (humanoid robots infused with human consciousness). The first hybrid prototype named 'Wendy' marks a new dawn in the race for immortality. After Weyland-Yutani's spaceship collides into Prodigy City, 'Wendy' and the other hybrids encounter mysterious life forms more terrifying than anyone could have ever imagined." Those "mysterious life forms" will mean more than just the xenomorphs that fans are used to. A previous teaser revealed the xenomorphs will be only one of five species the heroes of "Alien: Earth" will be contending with. We don't have a lot of clues about the other species yet, but at least one of them appears to be some kind of large flying insect. it is tempting to speculate that one of the four mystery species could be a Yautja, i.e. the hunting aliens from the "Predator" films. While technically the "Alien Vs. Predator" films exist in their own narrative separate from either "Alien" or "Predator", fans have long enjoyed theorizing that the Yautja and xenomorphs are part of the same continuity. More fuel was added to that fire recently when a character appearing to be a Weyland-Yutani android appeared in the trailer for "Predator: Badlands". "Alien: Earth" stars Sydney Chandler, Alex Lawther, Timothy Olyphant, Samuel Blenkin, David Rysdahl, Essie Davis, Adarsh Gourav, Babou Ceesay, Diem Camille, Moe Bar-El, Erana James, and Kit Young. Predator Kills the Marvel Universe Promises Huge Body Count, Sets Release Date
One sought Wolverine as the ultimate challenge. A hunting party invaded Wakanda only to be turned away by Black Panther and his people. An outcast contended with Spider-Man in the urban jungles of New York City. Now, a Yautja king and his court will make Earth into their own happy hunting ground in Predator Kills the Marvel Universe. Predator Kills the Marvel Universe will be the finale of a line of crossovers between the two franchises. It will be written by Benjamin Percy who has overseen the series since the bloody beginning. The artwork will be provided by Marcelo Ferreira, who also illustrated Predator vs. Spider-Man. The story will center around a Predator king empowered by a new arsenal of Vibranium weapons. This, coupled with a surprisingly unlikely human ally, leads to an all-out invasion of Earth. Both heroes and villains will stand against the alien hunters. However, not all of them will make it out alive. The first issue is scheduled for release on August 13. Percy spoke with IGN about the series to date and the accordingly escalated build to Predator Kills the Marvel Universe. 'Over the past few years, I've been having the time of my life writing the Predator Vs. series,' he said. 'The Yautja have hunted Wolverine across the decades. They've battled Black Panther and plundered Wakanda of its Vibranium. And they've faced off against Spider-Man and Kraven during a blackout heatwave in New York. These stories have been patiently building toward something epic. Their interconnectedness will be revealed in this explosive, blood-drenched, five-part story.' Marvel Comics is famed for their explicitly hyperbolic advertising. As such, audiences might be skeptical of a title like Predator Kills the Marvel Universe. However, Percy is adamant that this series' title is no exaggeration. 'That title? It's not misdirection. This one's gonna hurt. Your favorite heroes and villains will fall, even as others rise up against this extinction-level event. The Predator King is here. The Yautja are armed with Vibranium. And Earth is now a hunting preserve.' Predator Kills the Marvel Universe #1 arrives in comic shops everywhere on August 13, 2025.

Predator Hunts Marvel Heroes In New Series First Look
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Entertainment gossip and news from Newsweek's network of contributors Could the Predator take out an Asgardian god like Thor? How about the Incredible Hulk? Or Wolverine? Well, Marvel fans are about to find out in what promises to be a bloody limited series, "Predator Kills the Marvel Universe". You can see the main cover for the first issue below, provided by IGN. 'Predator Kills the Marvel Universe" #1 'Predator Kills the Marvel Universe" #1 Marvel Comics Read More: Ryan Reynolds Teases New Deadpool Team Up Project Thanks to the events of "Predator vs. Black Panther" and "Predator vs. Spider-Man", the Yautja have amassed enough power that they cannot only challenge Earth's mightiest heroes, but they've turned Earth into one giant game preserve. There, a Predator King plans to hunt down every Marvel hero and villain he can. "Predator: Killer of Killers" "Predator: Killer of Killers" 20th Century Studios The miniseries brings together Benjamin Percy and Marcelo Ferreira, who previously worked together on "Predator vs. Spider-Man". Percy has written all the Marvel "Predator Vs." series so far: "Predator vs. Spider-Man", "Predator vs. Black Panther", and "Predator vs. Wolverine". From the sound of it, while "Predator Kills the Marvel Universe" shares a continuity with the other "Predator Vs." titles, it doesn't share a narrative with the main Marvel Comics continuity, meaning that no one has any plot armor against the Yautja. "That title? It's not misdirection," Benjamin Percy told IGN. "This one's gonna hurt. Your favorite heroes and villains will fall -- even as others rise up against this extinction-level event. The Predator King is here -- the Yautja are armed with vibranium -- and Earth is now a hunting preserve." Asked about how the predators could possibly be a match for some of the more powerful Marvel heroes like Hulk and Thor, Percy responded, "The playing field has not only been leveled -- it's tipped in the favor of the Yautja. I can't tell you everything, because 'Predator Vs. Spider-Man' hasn't released yet, but something game-changing happens at the end of it that will make people drop their jaws. But here's something you've already clocked, if you've been following along. In Predator Vs. Black Panther ... the Yautja raided the Wakandan mines. We all know how obsessed they are with tech and weaponry, so just imagine what they can do with the motherlode of what they refer to as 'godmetal.'" This year promises to be a busy one for "Predator". Two months before "Predator Kills the Marvel Universe", the animated anthology movie "Predator: Killer of Killers" streams on Hulu on June 6. Then, on November 7, the live-action movie "Predator: Badlands" hits theaters, giving us our first film in which the predator is the protagonist. "Predator Kills the Marvel Universe" #1 hits stands August 13.
