Star Wars Expansion Set For 'Destiny 2'
Bungie's live-service online shooter Destiny 2 might be eight years old now, but the game is still being supported with new content drops, with the studio revealing two new paid expansions set for this year, which mark the title's next major story arc, the Fate Saga , including one that's themed after Star Wars. First teased late last year, the two expansions will follow the game's Year of Prophecy arc, beginning on 15 July with a paid expansion named The Edge of Fate . According to its announcement post, the expansion will take players to a new location known as Kepler, which will be 'inspired by the puzzle-solving and pathfinding challenges of Destiny 2's dungeons and destination design, which encourages deep exploration, mystery, and player-driven discovery.' Apart from providing new enemies, weapons and gear to discover, The Edge of Fate will also feature destination-specific abilities surrounding its new gameplay system, dark matter energy.
