Tonight's episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata hai beautifully shifts the storyline and focuses on the growing bond between Abhira and Maira.
As the night sets, Maira cuddles up next to her mother before going to sleep.
Maira with innocence, asks Abhira why she cannot marry Armaan again. Abhira is taken aback for a moment at the question.
However, she explains to her daughter that it is not possible. She tells Maira that life after marriage often changes, and in their case, they would now have to move into Anshuman's house. She even apologizes to her little one for the adjustments she has to face.
But Maira with her bright and positive outlook comforts her mother and tells her that she enjoys moving into new homes.
Abhira is touched by her daughter's maturity at such a young age. This leaves her feeling both guilty and relived at the same time.
The next morning brings a sweet surprise for Abhira as she wakes up to the smell of breakfast prepared by Maira. Her heart fill with joy seeing her daughter's effort. When Abhira praises her, Maira quickly reveals that it was
Arman
who taught her how to cook.
This makes Abhira curious and she asks Maira what all Arman Did for her all these years.

Maira's face lights up as she shares how Armaan used to pick her up from school, take her to birthday parties and even narrated bedtime stories. Abhira feels emotional with Maira's response as it reminded her of the time she missed and how Armaan filled that gap in Maira's life.
Meanwhile, Vidya reaches out to Abhira and invites her to the Poddar house for the Dahi Handi celebrations. But Abhira refuses her offer, telling her that she will send Maira but won't come herself.
Vidya tries to make her understand that Maira's happiness might lie in seeing both her parents together.
But Abhira doesn't want to be forced into any decision and ends the call. Armaan, who overhears the conversation tells his mother not to pressure Abhira by using Maira's name. He reminds Vidya that Abhira and Maira have finally reunited after seven long years, and that they deserve their own time together.
Meanwhile, Maira is excited about the Dahi Handi celebrations. She starts preparing for the festival at home with Anshuman. She shares with him that her only wish is to see her mother happy. After overhearing this Abhira becomes emotional and realises how much her daughter values her joy.
Abhira, hence for her daughter's sake, lets go her hesitation. She along with Maira and Anshumam dress up in festive clothes and head to the Podar house for Dahi Handi. However, their arrival together leaves the Poddar family curious.
