Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan burst crackers outside Rakesh Roshan's room during Karan Arjun shoot, recalls Ashok Saraf: ‘Kisi ko sataana ho toh…'
Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan delivered memorable performances in the iconic 1995 film Karan Arjun. In an earlier interview, director Rakesh Roshan had shared that the two actors often had a great time on set. Now, in a conversation with Radio Nasha Official, their co-star and veteran actor Ashok Saraf has confirmed this, adding that actor Johny Lever would occasionally join in on their pranks. When the host asked if it was true that Shah Rukh and Salman used to burst crackers outside Rakesh Roshan's room, and fire with fake guns to tease people, Saraf replied, 'Yes yes. I never used to go wherever this was happening. Kisi ko sataana ho toh main door hu. But yes, both of them used to have a lot of fun.' He added that his close friend and fellow actor Johny Lever was quick to join in, but he himself always kept a distance. 'Aur unke saath mein Johny Lever bhi mil jaata tha. Uske saath main bhi fir, masti nahi karta tha par hota tha.' ALSO READ | 'Shah Rukh Khan is very hardworking, rehearsed with me endlessly on my suggestion during Yes Boss shoot': Ashok Saraf Earlier, in an interview with Radio Nasha, Rakesh Roshan had said, 'They would be outside my room shooting guns. I would be sleeping at night and I would hear guns going off, bottles flying. I would ask them, 'What are you doing?'' In the docu-drama The Roshans, Shah Rukh Khan addressed the same and revealed, 'Pinkie ji scolded me a lot. 'You are troubling Guddu (Rakesh) a lot. I didn't expect it from you.' Because, between Salman and me, I was slightly better behaved; at least on the face of it. I was like, 'I didn't do anything. It's all his (Salman) doing.' We were two young kids, really troubling a father figure, to be honest.' Karan Arjun also features Kajol, Rakhee Gulzar, and Amrish Puri. The film recently completed 30 years since its release and, to mark the occasion, it was re-released in theatres.

‘Shah Rukh Khan is very hardworking, rehearsed with me endlessly on my suggestion during Yes Boss shoot': Ashok Saraf
We all remember the memorable song 'Chaand Taare' from Aziz Mirza's 1997 romantic comedy Yes Boss. It's not only rendered with wide-eyed wonder by singer Abhijeet Bhattacharya, but also performed by Shah Rukh Khan with so much infectious earnestness. Eagle-eyed fans noticed how the actor even shot in front of the building that became Mannat, his future home, on Bandra Bandstand in Mumbai just four years later. Ashok Saraf, who shared screen space with Shah Rukh in that film and in that song, has fond memories of working with the actor. They also shared screen space in Rakesh Roshan's 1995 blockbuster reincarnation saga Karan Arjun. But Saraf's enduring memory of Shah Rukh is from their Yes Boss days. 'There's no one as hardworking in the industry as him. He works very hard for his role. He's always alive to ideas on how he can make it better. He hasn't become a star just like that. He never leaves even a small thing behind that could potentially help his performance,' Saraf told Radio Nasha. Ashok Saraf recalled suggesting Shah Rukh Khan to try one of their scenes differently, and the star took to his suggestion earnestly. 'He said, 'Let's do a rehearsal.' He rehearsed so many times! He didn't let it go till the scene was perfect. Usually, actors aren't open to suggestions like these. They refuse to do the scene again. But he's not like that. He always tries and then sees if it works or not. He's a very good human too,' said Saraf. 'If someone asks me who has a lot of energy, I'd point them to Shah Rukh. He has so much energy that he never stops. He never gets tired. It's a huge deal, especially for today. Others should learn this from him. That's why he's reached where he is today. I'm really fond of him,' added Saraf. The actor also said that he doesn't get to meet either Shah Rukh or their Karan Arjun co-star Salman Khan these days. Also Read — Kajol was 'not sure' about doing Baazigar with Shah Rukh Khan, father convinced her to work with Abbas-Mustan: 'What is this film, what am I doing in it?' Ashok Saraf isn't the first actor to rave about Shah Rukh Khan's hard work on a film set. Karisma Kapoor, Shah Rukh's co-star from Yash Chopra's 1997 blockbuster romantic musical Dil To Pagal Hai, also called him 'hardworking' as compared to the 'fun' Salman Khan and the 'perfectionist' Aamir Khan, in an interview with Pinkvilla last year. Also, last year on Raj Shamani's podcast, Farhan Akhtar claimed Shah Rukh gets 'obsessed' with his projects. The actor-filmmaker has directed Shah Rukh in the successful Don franchise.

My weight never affected my work, says Delnaaz Irani
Delnaaz Irani is comfortable in her own skin. She says she never fit conventional industry standards. She believes her weight never hindered her work. Delnaaz Irani has never fit the industry's conventional mould, and she's fine with that. 'I was pleasantly plump as they used to call me. But everybody liked the way I was. I stood out from the typical faces and body types and I guess that helped me make my own space,' she says talking to Mumbai Mirror. Known for her comic timing and light-hearted roles in films like Kal Ho Naa Ho and Milenge Milenge and TV shows like Yes Boss and Akbar Birbal, Delnaaz says her body type never got in the way. 'My work was never hampered due to my weight. Even now, I'm heavier than I was in the 1990s, but I'm doing more work. Recently, I was offered a negative role, and that was exciting for me.' She has tried various fitness routines over the years. 'I've done walking, yoga, dieting, but it has to come from within.' Delnaaz doesn't shy away from current weight loss trends either. 'If I ever try Ozempic or any other option in the market, I'll say it openly. Why lie? If I want to drastically transform, I will, and I'll be vocal about it.' For now, she's content and confident. Delnaaz says, 'I'm in a very happy space. Personally, professionally and mentally. And that's what truly matters. When your mind is happy, your body reacts accordingly.'
