GMTV legend makes TV comeback after 15 years as she reunites with Eamonn Holmes
Veteran broadcaster, Eamonn Holmes, told fans he can't wait to present GB News next week after revealing he would be joined by a very familiar face from GMTV
GMTV legend, Penny Smith, is making a TV comeback after Eamonn Holmes revealed he would be reunited with the popular presenter next week.
Penny, 66, and Eamonn, 65, who both worked on the ITV show from 1983, will reunite for the first time in 20 years next Monday and Tuesday on GB News. Taking to Instagram with a snap of the pair in the studio, Eamonn wrote: "Look who's back! @whichpennysmith Monday and Tuesday, 6am."
In a statement, the dad-of-four added: "I'm delighted to be working with Penny again after all these years." It comes as the presenter admitted that his ex, Ruth Langsford, 'does all the hard stuff' as he opened up about shared custody following their split.

Praising Penny, Eamonn continued: "I'm sure all our viewers and listeners on GB News Breakfast will love her." Meanwhile, Penny promised to balance "the latest news with a healthy dose of fun".
She added: "I'm thrilled to be working with Eamonn again, and what a joy to be waking up the nation once more, bringing them the latest news with a healthy dose of fun along the way. It's just like old times – only better."
Ben Briscoe, GB News' Head Of Programming, predicted "razor-sharp insight" and along with "warmth" and good humour.
He commented: "I'm absolutely delighted to welcome Penny to GB News Breakfast.
"Reuniting her with Eamonn Holmes after 20 years promises the perfect mix of warmth, wit, humour and razor-sharp insight – just what our viewers love to wake up to."
Penny joined GMTV as the main newsreader in April 1993 and remained on the show until June 2010, after 17 years on air.
The star was treated to clips of her best bits on her final day in the studio and was reunited with her former singing partner Curtis Stigers, who serenaded her with his hit You're All That Matters To Me.
Penny and Curtis were previously paired up for the BBC show Just The Two Of Us.
As Curtis sang to her, Penny used a tissue to wipe away tears, saying: "I was doing so well. I've got extra eyelashes on and everything."
This Morning host, Ben Shepherd, told her: "We will miss you so much, you've been a great friend. You've been a great mentor as well in so many things - on and off camera - which I can't really talk about. Best of luck for the future."
Meanwhile, Lorraine Kelly described Penny as a "force of nature".
Speaking about her departure at the time, the plucky presenter said: "It's an ideal time for me to say goodbye to early mornings. Now that the format has changed I have taken the plunge and am moving on."
