Kyrgios poses with alleged real life ‘gangsta rapper'

Nick Kyrgios has been pictured with a rapper who was involved in a vicious jailhouse fight and is accused of kidnapping, following his split from long-time partner Costeen Hatzi. The tennis star, who is set to play in the French Open for the first time in eight years in the doubles draw with Jordan Thompson, appears to be moving on from Hatzi. He is also in the process of selling his $1.8 million penthouse unit in Sydney. But it is the current company he is choosing to keep that will raise eyebrows. Kyrgios, who is never too far from a damning headline, posted a photo with Ali Younes — better known by his stage name Ay Huncho— from a gig the rapper played at the Frucition nightclub in Canberra earlier this month. 'Keep waiting on it @ayhuncho,' Kyrgios captioned the photo, which Ay Huncho re-shared. Younes is out on $1.8 million bail as he faces kidnapping and assault charges and was also involved in a fight at Parklea Correctional Centre in June last year. Police say Younes was in the waiting room when rival rapper Sesita 'Radistarz' Lyzwa walked past him. The pair started trading blows, and both were charged of affray. The charge against Younes was later dismissed in court, while Lyzwa was sentenced to a month in jail, The Daily Telegraph reported. Kyrgios's $1.8 million unit in Sydney is on the market. Credit: supplied Outside the rap game, in the property game, Kyrgios is hoping to fetch close to $2m for the three-bedroom, two-bathroom rooftop unit with access to a pool in Kensington, which he bought for $1.6m in 2022. The asking price for the unit he used as his Sydney base is $1.8m. The woman he had been spending his time there with in the Harbour city, Hatzi, said she had moved on from the troubled sports star. 'I'm loving my work and doing content every day,' she told The Herald Sun. 'We haven't spoken. Relationships come to an end. I believe it's for the best. 'I hope he finds peace and happiness within himself. 'I definitely entered the relationship with pure intentions. I loved him, thought we had a great connection.' On the court, Kyrgios was not expected to head to Roland Garros later this month, having last played there in a second-round loss in 2017. Plagued by injuries the 30-year-old has played only four singles matches this year, winning one at the Miami Open in March. But he said he decided to go to Paris with Thompson's regular doubles partner Max Purcell serving a doping ban. 'The French Open was never really on the cards,' Kyrgios told The Canberra Times. 'But after the stuff with Max Purcell, Jordan was looking for a partner and he asked me if I wanted to play. 'We've played at the French Open before, so it'll be good to get out there and play with another fellow Aussie and have a bit of fun.' The French Open begins on May 25. With AAP

Nick Kyrgios posts photo with notorious rapper out on $1.8million bail over alleged kidnap and assault

Nick Kyrgios has found himself at the centre of fresh controversy after sharing a photo with a rapper currently out on $1.8million bail over alleged kidnapping and assault charges. The tennis star posted the black and white image on Instagram showing him seated beside Ay Huncho - real name Ali Younes - during a performance at Canberra's Fiction nightclub on May 9. Younes, a rapper from Western Sydney, is alleged to have ties to the Alameddine crime syndicate and recently had his bail conditions amended to allow him to perform shows around Australia. In the photo, Kyrgios appears relaxed while Ay Huncho's ankle monitor is clearly visible. News Corp reported that the caption read: 'Keep waiting on it @ayhuncho' was paired with four freezing face emojis, before the post was deleted from Kyrgios' account. Ay Huncho also reportedly re-shared the image, and it remains visible on the nightclub's official profile. There is no suggestion Kyrgios has any involvement with the Alameddine network. Younes is accused of ambushing a man at a suspected drug house in Granville, allegedly dragging the victim into a garage and beating him unconscious. Court documents state Younes and others were heard laughing and discussing the assault in an audio recording. The alleged victim was hospitalised but refused to co-operate with police. Despite an initial $500,000 surety offer being denied over flight risk concerns, Younes was later granted bail with his friends and family putting up a staggering $1.8million. The rapper's rising profile comes amid his ongoing national tour, with upcoming performances in Melbourne and an final show in Adelaide on May 30. Kyrgios' choice of company follows his recent breakup with long-time girlfriend and influencer Costeen Hatzi. The pair began dating in 2021 and were often seen together at public events before announcing their split in March. Kyrgios has been making plenty of public appearances but has played very little tennis in recent years Hatzi later stated, 'We haven't spoken. Relationships sometimes end, and I believe it's for the best.' Kyrgios' form on the tennis court has also taken a hit since reaching the Wimbledon final in 2022. A string of injuries, including knee and wrist issues, led to surgery and several tournament withdrawals. His comeback at the 2025 Brisbane International ended in a first-round loss, followed by a pull-out from Indian Wells due to recurring pain. He is set to return at the French Open in the men's doubles alongside Jordan Thompson, marking his first appearance at Roland Garros in eight years. Off the court, Kyrgios has also listed his $1.6million Sydney penthouse for sale, which he bought in 2022. Property records suggest he used the apartment as his fulltime base while in the city. In the entertainment world, Kyrgios is also expanding his brand with OnlyFans' new OFTV series 'Smash City.' The four-episode series blends celebrity and sport, with Kyrgios co-hosting alongside reality star Sophie Stonehouse and adult film icon Rachel Starr.
