What Happened On Young and the Restless Today? Michael Quits Victor—for Real This Time
On the May 23 episode of The Young and the Restless, Michael faces off with Victor, Kyle plays with fire, and Diane and Jack make big plans. At the Abbott house, Diane (Susan Walters) showed Jack (Peter Bergman) some travel plans for their long-overdue honeymoon. Jack loved everything she picked and was thrilled by the idea of whisking her away. At the office, Kyle (Michael Mealor) was more distracted by a gift basket of sweets from Claire (Hayley Erin) than his parents' plans. When Diane stopped by, she mentioned their trip could stretch to a month. Kyle assured her he could hold down the fort at Jabot, but Diane worried that his obsession with Audra (Zuleyka Silver) might become a bigger issue than business. Diane could see that Claire wasn't comfortable with Kyle's scheming, and Kyle didn't deny it. He admitted that the more he thinks about Victor (Eric Braeden) and Audra, the more it eats away at him. Kyle said he struggled to be the man Claire believed he could be. Diane urged him not to become like Victor and reminded him of how far Claire had come. They shared a touching moment before Kyle got a text from Audra asking to meet. He told his mom he planned to surprise her with a counterattack. Diane wasn't thrilled but warned him to be careful. Meanwhile, Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) showed off her new locket to Lauren (Tracey Bregman) at the GCAC and revealed it was just the beginning of her birthday celebrations. Lauren shared that Michael (Christian Le Blanc)had finally told Victor he was done. When Jack joined them, they all agreed Victor wouldn't take the news well. Lauren warned she'd kill Victor if he dragged Michael back in, and Nikki noted no other lawyer could rein him in. Over at the new ranch, Michael broke the news to Victor. He explained it was time to put Lauren first. Victor said he understood…until he didn't. Victor refused to accept Michael's resignation, insisted Michael would always come back, and tried to strong-arm him into staying. Michael stayed firm, said goodbye, and left. When Nikki walked in, Victor fumed and forbade her from ever mentioning Michael again. Back at home, Jack filled Diane in and promised that if Victor brought the fight to them, they'd hit back hard. At the jazz lounge, Michael met Lauren and told her he'd done it. She promised to stand by him and make sure he never regretted it.

Did Young and the Restless Tease Trouble For GC's Top Couples?
The Young and the Restless aired an episode that felt like it was meant for Valentine's Day. Nikki and Victor, Diane and Jack, and Michael and Lauren declared their love for one another. But this was more than just a throwaway episode. It might've teased possible trouble for Genoa City's top couples. The Wednesday, May 21 episode of Y&R was strikingly different from the others that aired this week. It focused on the three golden couples: Victor (Eric Braeden) and Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott), Diane (Susan Walters) and Jack (Peter Bergman), and Michael (Christian LeBlanc) and Lauren (Tracy E. Bregman). All of them were loved up and happy. Or so it seemed. READ: Happy wives, scandalous lives on Y&R. The trio of couples celebrated their relationships in different ways. Victor celebrated Nikki, but only in the way he knows how—by doing something he wanted to do for her and having her tell him how great he is. Jack and Diane explored their relationship. Diane still felt out of place in the Abbott family, so Jack did his best to show his love and appreciation. Meanwhile, Lauren could sense her relationship with Michael crumbling, which worried him. Michael tried to distract her from the weight of the world, or at least the drama brewing in Genoa City. The two exchanged sweet words and hot kisses. But these sweet moments didn't last for long. MORE: What happened on Y&R on Friday, May 23? On Friday, May 23, all three couples spiraled—and it was all because of Victor. Jack's feud with Victor continues to rage on, and Diane is rooting for her man to go all-in. Jack has no idea what tricks Diane has up her sleeve. Much like her son, Kyle (Michael Mealor), Diane has also made some deals with the Devil, and no, we're not talking about Victor. Michael told Victor that he could no longer work with him. He wanted to save his marriage. Nikki walked into the house as Michael left. She asked Victor what their conversation was about. Victor told her that Michael ended their work relationship. But Victor isn't going to take this sitting down, even if he was at the moment. He will still find a way to keep Michael around. This news also shocked Diane and Jack, who got the word from Michael and Lauren themselves. This web continues to weave as the cracks appear in each of these relationships. Michael will eventually cave to Victor, which will cause more issues in his marriage. Meanwhile, Diane's sneaky ways will cause trust issues in her marriage with Jack. As for Victor and Nikki? Well, we know how Nikki feels about Jack. She doesn't approve of Victor's feud with him. But what if she steps out on her husband? Maybe she'll hook up with the elusive Aristotle Dumas. Or, maybe Victor has a hot affair with Phyllis after they start scheming together. Whatever's happening, it doesn't look good for any of them.

Is Ashley Secretly Working With Dumas on Y&R?
Everyone in Genoa City can't shake Aristotle Dumas from their mind. Ashley's return to The Young and the Restless could further shake up the happy family. She's been working in Paris lately. But she's due to return home soon. She might find herself involved in the Dumas drama. Y&R fans are looking forward to Ashley's (Eileen Davidson) return. They want to know what she thinks of Diane's (Susan Walters) remodeling project, which is causing more drama than the corporate shakeups. Fans are also curious to know what's going on in Ashley's life. Later this week, she's expected to drop some news on Jack (Peter Bergman). MORE: Ashley's shocker during May 26-30 of Y&R. This news concerns him. It has us wondering what Ashley has been up to since she's been away in Paris. Since she healed from the trauma of her split personalities, she's been back at work. She could be working on a top-secret project, and we wonder who she's been working with lately. Maybe Ashley knows something that everyone else wants to know. She might've met the elusive billionaire themselves. It could explain why the Abbott family will end up on high alert. Victor (Eric Braeden) has been desperate to get revenge on Jack for saving Nikki's (Melody Thomas Scott) life. Victor said he's worked with Dumas for years. However, he's never met them in person. He could've had Dumas work with Ashley to pull the wool over Jack's eyes. As we all know, Victor is ten steps ahead of everyone else. No one could ever beat him at his own game. He could work with the billionaire to take down Jack. NEXT: The Y&R fan theory: Could Tucker be Dumas? There's also the possibility that Ashley is quitting her job as R&D at Jabot. Maybe she's jumping ship to join Glissade. Anything is possible in Genoa City. What are your thoughts on Ashley's return? Do you think she's working with Dumas? Let us know in the comments section.

Why Michael Will Break His Promise to Lauren on Y&R
Michael and Lauren are front and center on The Young and the Restless. The couple's marriage hit a rough patch recently, but things seem to have settled down. However, all that will change when Michael breaks an important promise to his wife. As with many Y&R couples, Michael (Christian LeBlanc) and Lauren (Tracey Bregman), aka Likey, have had relationship problems. Recently, the couple were at odds because of Victor (Eric Braeden). For years, Michael has worked as Victor's right-hand man, doing everything for The Moustache. Whether it's legal or investigative tasks, there was no job Michael didn't turn down. He was always at Victor's beck and call, sacrificing his own time to please his boss. Lauren didn't have a problem with Michael's job, but recently she began voicing her concerns. Upon learning of Victor's plan to take down Jabot, Lauren was furious and reminded Michael he was betraying his friends. Despite Lauren's worries, Michael continued his work for Victor, but it strained his relationship with Lauren. Not wanting to lose his wife, Michael quit his job and promised Lauren he's done with Victor. Or is he? It's only been one day since quitting and already Michael might be regretting his decision. He's worried about the war that will erupt between The Newmans and The Abbotts. Victor vowed he'd continue his plan without Michael, and the lawyer knows disaster is coming for both families. Michael is the only one who can talk sense into Victor and keep him calm. To keep a war from escalating, Michael will have to break his promise to Lauren and return to work. Although Michael is doing it for a good cause, Lauren won't see it that way. This will be another betrayal by her husband, who once again chose Victor over her. While Michael might prevent another Newman and Abbott feud, it'll come at the cost of his marriage.
