Tyla named among Variety's 2025 Power of Young Hollywood honourees
Tyla will be honoured alongside other rising stars, including Stranger Things actor Finn Wolfhard, The White Lotus star Sam Nivola and others. South African music sensation Tyla has been named one of Variety's 2025 Power of Young Hollywood honourees. She joins a select group of rising stars recognised for their influence, success, and cultural impact across the entertainment landscape. Variety's annual list highlights emerging talent shaping the future of the industry. The highly anticipated 2025 Power of Young Hollywood party, presented by SanDisk, will take place on 7 August in Los Angeles. The event will feature a red carpet, a cocktail hour, and a 'class photo' of all the 2025 Young Hollywood honourees featured in the issue. Variety co-editor-in-chief Ramin Setoodeh said the Young Hollywood issue remains one of the publication's most anticipated releases, spotlighting the next generation of industry leaders. 'Variety's Young Hollywood issue is one of our favourite tentpole franchises, and our class of 2025 represents the future of the industry. 'We are thrilled to toast our cover stars Tyla, Finn Wolfhard and Sam Nivola, and to publish our must-read '40 Under 40′ list celebrating Hollywood's new power players.' Take a Look Behind-the-Scenes at General Hospital's Nurses' Ball
The Nurses' Ball is upon us, and things are going to get crazy on General Hospital. Already, we've seen characters strolling down the red carpet, many of whom had some stern words for red carpet co-correspondent, Drew. And as the secrets of many Port Charles citizens start to edge closer to being revealed, the Ball might be the place where much of it happens. Let's take a look at a special behind-the-scenes video of the beloved annual event. On Instagram, TV network Young Hollywood posted a short, edited version of a video in which host Lesley Robins took us backstage at the Nurses' Ball. It was captioned, '🫧NEW!🫧 We're on the set of the legendary soap opera @generalhospitalabc where not only did our own @lesleymia do a cameo for the #NursesBall episode, but we also got a tour of the iconic set.' The post then listed many of the actors who were interviewed for the event. In the video, the first three Robins spoke with were Braedyn Bruner (Emma), Cynthia Watros (Nina), and Cameron Mathison (Drew). He explained that because of his character's misdeeds, 'when I go into the supermarket, I get apples thrown at me.' Next was Maurice Benard (Sonny), who stated, 'General Hospital's always just been there for me 100%, no matter what,' followed by Finola Hughes (Anna), Eden McCoy (Josslyn), Giovanni Mazza (Gio), Jens Austin Astrup (Kai), and Tabyana Ali (Trina). One viewer responded with, 'I have really enjoyed the presence of Braedyn and Gio! They were needed in the YA cast.' Bruner herself chimed in, writing, 'I'll be your tour guide again and again!!' and Robins replied, '@braedynbruner LOVE! Had the most incredible time with you! ❤️.' Overall, the fans loved the interviews and clamored for more. A follower who has some issues with Drew and his scheming ways reacted, 'We hate you, Drew! Karma is coming, lol 🤣 only kidding I love you ❤️❤️.' And another expressed their affection for the annual event, commenting, 'I love the Nurses Ball! With all my favorites! ❤️❤️❤️.'

The 23-year-old appeared in a new shoot as she modelled for clothing brand Réalisation Par, with pieces worn by the likes of Hailey Bieber. 7 The brunette model was seen striking a pose while wearing a khaki mini dress and a pair of brown cowboy boots. While her mum is a TV acting icon, this nepo baby is taking a leaf out of her sassy mum's book and pursuing a career in modelling. But have you guessed who her famous parent is yet? It's none other than CBB and EastEnders legend Patsy Palmer, 52, and her daughter Emilia Merkell. 7 7 Emilia - who lives and works in Malibu, California - looked incredible in a polka dot frilly frock for the brand's new spring range. Patsy, who was evicted from the house on Tuesday, was quick to comment on the post, writing: "Beautiful." Patsy's kids are now finding their own way into the spotlight. Emilia has appeared on the cover of Tatler's Young Hollywood issue in 2018. She is also a social media influencer and a model with elite agency Storm LA Management. Patsy now lives an idyllic life in Malibu, just west of Los Angeles, where her days are filled with yoga, meditation, walking and family time. She told The Sun in 2021: 'I've done so much work around it, I've had so much therapy and now I feel my life is more balanced than it's ever been.' Patsy married Richard Merkell in 2000. "People complaining about your brocolli, that was one..." Patsy went stony-faced and there was total silence as the hosts waited for her to say something. Will laughed: "You don't want to talk about the broccoli do you... "Absolutely fair enough." Again there was silence, leaving AJ to fill in the gap. She asked: "Did it really upset you when Mickey complained to your face about the food?" Patsy flatly replied: "Erm, not really that." The squirming hosts were referring to axed housemate Mickey Rourke. He made Patsy break down in tears after complaining about her cooking. Mickey was thrown out after inappropriate and offensive remarks and behaviour in the house. Patsy spent nine days in the CBB house before she was evicted. 7
