They newly appointed are Anderson Lah, Sufian Mohat, Martin Ngindang Richard Mullok, Afiq Fikri Brahim, and Lyokarto Sikong. Abang Johari stated that these appointments provide opportunities for younger generations in the party's top leadership and align with efforts to groom future leaders for political and socioeconomic challenges. 'In our party, we constantly guide the young as future successors for leadership roles. We must train our leaders, especially now that we are facing many new challenges in both political and socioeconomic aspects,' he said at a press conference after chairing the Pre-DUN Meeting and the 2025 PBB Supreme Council Meeting held at the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching last night. Additionally, Abang Johari revealed that the party had recently sent a political secretary to Singapore to observe the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in elections. 'In Singapore, they do use AI, but their regulations emphasise the issue of deepfakes which can be used for slander. So, we are studying what the future might hold due to this advanced technology,' he added. Regarding the composition of the new Supreme Council, he said the combination of veteran and young leaders is a key approach to ensuring the party's continuity and relevance. 'What we have is a combination of veteran and new faces… PBB leadership must include experienced individuals, as well as those who are digitally savvy and those who are not. 'We bring everyone together in this transition towards the future, because PBB must remain relevant at all times,' he said. This Supreme Council Meeting is the first held following the recent PBB Convention, where several members were elected while others were newly appointed. abang johari lead PBB supreme council youth
