Saheti School celebrates top learner achievements in music and speech arts

Saheti School has congratulated its learners for their remarkable achievements in recent cultural events, showcasing the school's commitment to excellence in the arts. Yu Qing Peng, a Grade 11 learner, was selected to perform as a soloist at the Rand Symphony Orchestra's Youth Concert, held at the Roodepoort Theatre. He also excelled in the final round of the Roedean Music Competition, where he secured first place in the piano category. ALSO READ: Saheti leaders speak on being young in SA Maria Christofides, a Grade 9 learner, earned the prestigious Item Winner certificate in the challenging Individual Impromptu Speaking category at the Johannesburg Festival of the Arts. Her confident delivery and quick thinking set her apart from a talented group of speakers. ALSO READ: Saheti learners champion youth mental health and inclusive decisions Fellow Grade Nine learner Pano Couloubis delivered an exceptional performance on the bouzouki, earning the highest possible symbol, A++, along with a perfect score of 100% at the Johannesburg Festival of the Arts. 'A truly remarkable achievement. His excellence was further recognised with two major accolades, Item Winner and Trophy Winner, in the Individual Instrumental category. 'Pano was also selected as a Gala Performer, where he captivated the audience with a stirring rendition of Zorba the Greek on the bouzouki,' said Nicola Palma from Saheti School.
