Harjot Bains postpones seva at Anandpur Sahib
Ropar: Punjab education minister Harjot Singh Bains on Sunday postponed his scheduled seva at Gurdwara Sis Ganj Sahib in Sri Anandpur Sahib. The reason for the deferment was not known.
Bains, who performed 'Jode Di Sewa' (shoe service) at the gurdwara on Saturday as part of the penance imposed on him by the Akal Takht, was slated to continue the seva on Sunday. Despite repeated attempts, the minister could not be contacted for comments.
Bains also cancelled his scheduled visit to the Lok Milni programme in Nangal Kothi, where he was to meet the residents and address the constituency-related concerns, from 8 am to 10 am.
Sources said the Lok Milni was to take place after his seva at Anandpur Sahib. However, in his absence, some senior party functionaries and officials held the Lok Milni, they added.
Bains was also scheduled to participate in the 'Yudh Nashan Virudh' campaign through a mega theatre competition at IIT Ropar. The event, attended by

leader and former deputy chief minister of Delhi Manish Sisodia, aimed to spread awareness among students about the ill effects of drug abuse.
