Day 661: Israel Slaughters 20 Civilians in Ongoing Gaza Assault

DaysofPal- At least 20 Palestinian civilians were killed in a series of Israeli airstrikes on residential homes across the Gaza Strip early Monday, as Israeli genocide on Gaza entered its 661st day amid a systematic campaign of starvation and collective punishment. According to local media reports, Israeli warplanes struck two civilian homes, one belonging to the Nofal family in the Japanese neighborhood and another to the Zaarab family in the Al-Mawasi area, both in western Khan Younis, southern Gaza. The attacks killed 11 people in the bombing of Nofal family home, and 5 others in the bombing of the residential apartment of the Zaarab family in the same area, injuring more than 30, including women and children, with multiple victims still trapped under the rubble. Meanwhile, a Palestinian woman was killed and several others injured in an airstrike that targeted a house in the Al-Bassa neighborhood of Deir al-Balah, in central Gaza. The attacks came despite Israel's announcement of a so-called 'humanitarian pause' on Sunday evening. In reality, residents say the bombing never stopped. In contrast, air and artillery strikes continued across densely populated areas, including Shuja'iyya in eastern Gaza City and near Al-Salah Association in central Deir al-Balah. Elsewhere, Israeli forces demolished several homes in eastern Gaza, and artillery units shelled the vicinity of Al-Shuja'iyya Club and the Al-Katiba area in Khan Younis, further deepening the devastation. The war, now in its 22nd consecutive month, has pushed the coastal enclave to the brink of collapse. With a crippled health sector, widespread destruction, and a nearly total blockade on aid, famine and disease have gripped hundreds of thousands of displaced civilians. Aid groups and UN agencies continue to warn of a severe humanitarian catastrophe, as the Israeli occupation repeatedly targets aid distribution points and civilians awaiting food, making access to basic survival resources nearly impossible. Gaza's blood crisis deepens tragedy amidst aggression & siege

Gaza - Saba: Hospitals in the Gaza Strip are facing a severe health catastrophe due to a critical shortage of blood units, threatening the lives of thousands of Palestinian patients and wounded individuals under the suffocating siege and ongoing aggression. Dr. Sofia Zaarab, Director of the Laboratory and Blood Bank Unit at Gaza hospitals, told the Palestinian News Agency (WAFA) on Monday that the situation has become disastrous. "The brutal aggression has led to a surge in critical injuries, in addition to the daily needs of chronic patients, such as those with cancer and thalassemia," she said. "Despite the efforts of families, poor nutrition and the collapse of public health have turned the task of securing blood into a nearly impossible battle." She noted that low blood levels among citizens have reduced the number of medically eligible donors, exacerbating the crisis, especially since blood banks cannot store units for more than 35 days. With immense pressure on blood banks, hospitals have issued urgent appeals to import blood units from abroad. However, the tightened siege has prevented any vital medical aid from entering since March 18. "We are screaming to the world that we urgently need blood units and medicines to save lives. Every day of delay means losing more patients," Dr. Zaarab added. She also warned that the health catastrophe will not stop at the blood shortage but will extend to the collapse of the entire healthcare system if the situation persists. "Every minute without intervention, Gaza loses another part of its pulse." Amid this grim and tragic reality, Gaza's medical sector is calling on the international community and humanitarian organizations to intervene immediately by opening crossings to allow the entry of blood units and medical supplies—before more lives are lost in the besieged enclave.
