Oppo Find X8 Ultra bend test doesn't end well

Oppo launched the Find X8 Ultra in April, and unfortunately it's a China-only device so most of the world will never see it. That hasn't stopped Zack from JerryRigEverything getting one in order to perform his famous durability testing on Oppo's latest flagship device. And it's an interesting test to say the least. It starts off normally with the glass on top of the screen scratching at level 6 on the Mohs hardness scale, with deeper grooves showing up at level 7. The frame is metal, the screen takes an open flame for about 35 seconds, but no visible marks remain afterwards. Finally, the bend test is where things get bad. When bending from the back, nothing happens, but when bending from the front, the frame separates along the antenna line that's right in between the power and volume buttons. It doesn't get damaged any further, however, which makes for a very weird test result - it hasn't categorically failed, but it definitely hasn't passed either. And it now has an odd shape, and the IP rating might be compromised. At the end of the video you can find a bonus teardown section, so if you've always wanted to take a peek inside the Find X8 Ultra, make sure you don't miss it. And if you want to learn more about this device, read our in-depth review.

ExxonMobil Plans to Sell French Refining Assets to North Atlantic

Exxon Mobil Corporation XOM has entered into exclusive negotiations to divest its controlling interest in Esso Société Anonyme Française SA (Esso S.A.F.) and 100% of ExxonMobil Chemical France SAS ('EMCF') to North Atlantic France SAS. The deal includes the Gravenchon refinery and related assets, with the transaction expected to be closed in the fourth quarter of 2025, subject to regulatory approvals and final financial arrangements. Despite the sale, ExxonMobil will retain a significant commercial presence in France. Around 750 Esso-branded retail fuel stations will continue to operate under the Esso name, ensuring brand continuity for French consumers. Additionally, ExxonMobil will maintain its role in supplying finished lubricants, base stocks, synthetics, and other specialty products throughout the country. ExxonMobil considers France a key market and intends to maintain a strong commercial presence through the Esso brand while continuing to support its customers across the country. Approximately 1,350 employees affected by the transaction — excluding those already part of a previously announced redundancy plan — will remain employed under their current terms and conditions. This assurance provides continuity and stability to the workforce during the transition. The acquisition marks a milestone for North Atlantic, which views the deal as a strategic enhancement of its transatlantic operations. North Atlantic considers this development as a milestone in its growth strategy, aiming to establish Gravenchon as a central hub for France's energy and industrial sectors while expanding its transatlantic presence. The divestment is part of ExxonMobil's broader strategy to continually assess and optimize its global portfolio. While refining assets in France are changing hands, ExxonMobil reaffirmed its commitment to conducting safe, reliable operations and meeting all supply obligations during the transition. The transaction will undergo the standard consultation process with French employee representative bodies, as required by law. ExxonMobil's exit from certain French operations does not signal a broader retreat from Europe. The continent remains an important region for the company's energy and specialty product business. EastEnders' Zack Hudson's future 'sealed' as fans 'work out' what's next

BBC's EastEnders fans learned the fate of Walford resident Zack Hudson during tonight's episode of the soap after fearing he was dead following the dramatic car crash Zack Hudson made a shock appearance in tonight's EastEnders after residents, and fans, feared he was dead following Tuesday night's dramatic car crash. Despite Barney now knowing Zack's his dad - it doesn't seem like the character will get his happy ending with his son. Fans have now been left wondering whether Zack and Barney storyline really has come to an abrupt end - and if so, what's next for Zack? Some fans have uncovered a 'forgotten storyline' where Zack was diagnosed with HIV, which they believe is set to resurface. ‌ It's been a dramatic week for Zack, to say the least. Last night, Vicki Fowler dropped the bombshell that Zack was Barney's real dad, and claimed Teddy tried to have him killed after their car veered off into the lake. However, the crash was accidental, with Teddy only planning to have a chat with Zack after Harry had knocked him unconscious and stuffed him into his boot. ‌ As he regained consciousness, a frightened Zack tried to take over the wheel, causing the car to lose control and plunge into the lake. Last night, Teddy emerged from the water but Zack was no where to be seen with Vicky Fowler bursting into Teddy's home to tell Barney that Zack was his real dad, and that he was dead. Although he was feared dead, in tonight's episode, the character was seen walking through the door while Barney was chatting to Phil and Vicki. Things didn't stay calm for long after an altercation broke out between Teddy and Zack as they appeared to fight over Barney. In the end though, it seemed Barney chose Teddy as the Mitchells promised to be a family again - even sharing a laugh as the four played a board game. ‌ Fans were left baffled as the scene came after Barney and Harry found out that Nicola killed Shireen after she threatened to expose the secret about Barney's paternity. Although it (strangely) looked like happy families for the Mitchells, it was a different story for Zack, who was left feeling rejected. Now fans are predicting the future for the character after his hopes with Barney have been dashed down the drain - for now. In 2023, Zack was diagnosed with HIV after being informed by a former friend, Brett, that he shared needles when they were younger - and fans think the 'forgotten' story may be picked back up. ‌ Taking to Reddit, one fan said: "He had past drug addition, they could always re-look there," as another responded: "They could continue with the HIV storyline and have issues with medication, or complications despite being undetectable. I thought the HIV storyline was a great idea, but they went no where with it." Earlier this year, fans thought a romance may be on the cards for Chelsea and Zack following a cryptic exchange - with many thinking the soap will now explore this storyline for the character. Will Barney and Zack ever have a father-son relationship, or has it really ended before it had a change to begin?

Is Zack Hudson leaving EastEnders and is he really dead after watery car plunge?

Zack Hudson's (James Farrar) fate was left hanging in the balance in EastEnders after the car he was in plummeted off a bridge and into the river. The popular character, a brother of show legend Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean), was determined to exit Walford after Nicola Mitchell (Laura Doddington) threatened his loved ones. The chef recently discovered that Nicola's youngest Barney (Lewis Bridgeman) is his biological son after he and the Mitchell matriarch had an affair 16 years ago. Knowing that the Mitchells – in particularly Nicola – are dangerous, Zack resolved to get Barney out of dodge, hoping his son's brother Harry (Elijah Holloway) would come through and help him. Upon learning of Nicola's true nature, Harry seemed like he wanted to help Zack but, not wanting to lose his little brother, the mechanic attacked Zack and bundled him into the boot of a car. Teddy (Roland Manookian) intervened, giving chase and – upon catching up with him -talked sense into Harry, who relented and allowed Zack out of the boot. Zack was subsequently declared dead by all those present on the night of the accident, but – as we soap fans know too well – no body can often equate to no death. So is Zack really dead? Be warned EastEnders fans, spoilers follow for Thursday's (May 29) episode, which is now available to stream on iPlayer. No, Zack is not dead. In fact, he's very much alive! To our knowledge, he's not leaving the show – especially in the wake of Thursday's episode. As Barney processed the revelation that Zack is his father, he shared a heart-to-heart with Teddy, who assured him that he will always be his dad – blood relative or not. Barney subsequent sought support from Vicki Fowler (Alice Haig) and Linda Carter (Kellie Bright). As they discussed the events of the day in question, a drenched Zack entered the property! More Trending Everyone was left in shock, believing Zack to have perished in the watery car plunge, but the chef is alive and well. He urged Barney to reconsider having Nicola in his life and instead come away with him but confused Barney instead raced into the Square, where Nicola asked him what he wants. Barney told her that he wants everything to go back to the way it was as he, Nicola, Teddy and Harry returned home to No. 1 to play a board game, much to the chagrin of Zack. In 1986, the officer was promoted to sergeant, then six years later began working in the Merseyside Dog Section. His job has seen him deployed to numerous high-risk situations, including an IRA bomb threat at the Grand National in Partington transferred to Wiltshire Police as the Dog Section Sergeant and remained in the dog section as a handler with all types of police also took on the role of the force dog trainer whilst in the ranks of both sergeant and inspector. He retired as a police officer in 2006 and became the dog section trainer. "Anybody who's had dogs; pets or working dogs, you can't separate them but your first dog is always incredibly special and your first job with that dog is incredibly special," Mr Partington told BBC Radio first dog he received was a rescued German Shepherd called Zack."He was really quite young when I got him. I've had some wonderful opportunities, I've worked with some fantastic people," he added. Supt Steve Cox, who recommended Mr Partington for the award, said, "Ian takes immense pride that he has passed and continues to pass on his years of knowledge and skills, and nothing gives him more pleasure than seeing his handlers having successful deployments, winning awards at trials, and quite simply watching them develop and improve."Ian is an amazing person; he is passionate and hard-working, and to this date, he continues to deliver his role to the highest standards."
