Egypt bags 91 medals at African School Games in Algeria
Egypt's delegation wrapped up day six of the African School Games in Algeria with 21 medals, including nine golds, raising the country's total to 91 medals: 49 gold, 27 silver, and 15 bronze.
Friday's tally featured 10 medals in swimming, including golds for Zain Hashem, Rodina Ramadan, and Ibrahim Shams, who claimed two titles. Boxers added four medals, with Mohamed Nasr winning gold in the 66kg category.
Athletes also claimed two golds in athletics and five medals in fencing, led by Fareda Abdel Hamid and Ali Omar.
Egypt's 156-member delegation is competing in 13 sports. The games, hosted across four Algerian cities, run until August 5.
