Bahrain starts strong at Gulf Beach Games
Bahrain opened its campaign at the 3rd Gulf Beach Games in Muscat with a commanding display in athletics, taking gold and bronze in the women's 60m sprint. Laily Kamal clocked a winning time of 7.77 seconds to top the podium, while Zainab Mohammed se-cured bronze in 7.93 seconds, ensuring Bahrain's first medals of the competition came in style. Bahrain's medal tally continued to rise yesterday, as swimmers Ahmed Abdullnabi and Ahmed Suhail claimed bronze in the 10-kilometre open water team event.
