The appearance marked the first time the former One Direction member had taken his daughter to a concert, making the moment especially significant for fans. Zayn welcomed Khai on September 19, 2020, with ex-girlfriend and supermodel Gigi Hadid. Though the couple parted ways following reported family tensions, Zayn has remained a committed father and rarely shares personal moments involving his daughter. The singer's post quickly went viral, with fans praising his private yet devoted parenting style. 'It's devastating' - Irish mum's tears over abduction of her two children
A heartbroken mother has hit a brick wall in her battle to get her two abducted sons returned from Egypt. It is now three years since Mandy Kelly spoke to her beloved boys Zayn, seven, and four-year-old Kareem since they were taken by their father while on a family holiday in Cairo. There is no sign of her ordeal ending with the continued failure of the Egyptian authorities to locate her former husband and her kids even though they were given an address where they were staying. A court in Cairo also ruled she should have custody but her mother-in-law is appealing that decision and the case won't be heard until October. Mandy's misery was compounded when Zayn celebrated his birthday and she couldn't even speak to him. The Dundalk, Co Louth native said: 'I haven't seen or heard from my sons in three years. Mandy with Zayn and Kareem. Mandy Kelly with one of her young sons before they were kidnapped by their father (Image: Irish Mirror) 'Zayn has now celebrated three birthdays in a row without me. It is devastating and deeply upsetting. 'My former partner continues to be officially deemed unlocatable by the Egyptian authorities, despite being known to reside with the applicant in the case. 'This ongoing ambiguity paired with the lack of access or communication with my sons , continues to cause deep distress and raises serious questions about procedural fairness. 'The situation is no longer just a personal tragedy, it is a prolonged denial of two Irish children's rights. 'Despite their Irish citizenship and ongoing support from the Department of Foreign Affairs and the Minister Simon Harris my children remain separated from me in Egypt.' Mandy told how during a high level diplomatic exchange in December 2024 last a commitment was made by the Egyptians to support the safe return of Zayn and Kareem. 'The court proceedings initiated in Egypt have been repeatedly delayed, with the latest adjournment now pushing the case to October 2025. 'I remain deeply grateful to the Irish Government and the Department of Foreign Affairs for their continued efforts. And I hold hope that through diplomatic resolve and compassion, my sons will soon be returned to their home and family in Ireland.' Last May the Tanaiste and Minister for Foreign Affairs, Simon Harris, wrote a letter to Mandy offering her his continuing support. 'As previously communicated to you I raised your case with the Egyptian Foreign Minister, Dr Badr Abdelatty, earlier this year. I am pleased to inform you that I have more recently written to Dr Abdelatty, to seek a further update in your case. 'In my correspondence I noted my keen desire to see a timely resolution to Zayn and Kareem's case, a resolution that is in their best interests. 'I have also requested any information Dr Abdelatty may be able to share with me regarding whether or not Zayn and Kareem have been enrolled in an educational institution in Egypt, something that I know is very important to you. 'I also want to assure you that Ambassador [Nuala] O'Brien and her team are continuing to engage locally on your case and it remains a priority for the embassy. 'I am conscious that Zayn recently celebrated his 7th birthday, the third year in which he has not been able to celebrate this important milestone with his mother.' Mandy's ordeal began while on a holiday visiting her then husband's relatives in Cairo in March 2022. They were due to return to Dundalk when he locked his wife in their hotel room and took the kids, after deciding he was not coming back to Ireland. WWE star shows off Bohemians Oasis jersey in front of millions of people
WWE star Sami Zayn was the latest high-profile figure to wear a Bohemians jersey and showed it off in front of millions. The popular wrestler returned to action on Monday and did so with a splash as he wore the Oasis-inspired Bohemians jersey. And with Netflix now broadcasting Monday Night Raw, the jersey would have been seen by millions. Although Zayn could well be a surprise long-time Bohemians fan, it is more likely that he was gifted the jersey by Gypsies die-hard and fellow WWE Superstar Sheamus. The Finglas native is a long-time fan of the Phibsborough outfit and has been on hand to lend his support to the club on different occasions. For Bohemians, it represents great publicity for the club and its limited edition strip. The fan-owned club teamed up with Oasis ahead of the reunion tour, with half of the profits raised from the Oasis shirt going to charity, with a split between Music Generation Ireland and Irish Community Care Manchester, while the other half goes to the club itself. The League of Ireland club has made waves internationally with its kit choices. Previously, it had jerseys with Thin Lizzy, Bob Marley, and Fontaines DC branding. It has also teamed up with Guinness in the past and had a Dublin Bus-themed jersey. Oasis comes to Ireland next month, and their reunion tour is currently in full swing. The Gallagher brothers have played two sold-out shows in Cardiff and five shows in Manchester's Heaton Park. Focus now turns to London, where they will perform five sold-out Wembley Stadium Shows before heading north to Murrayfield, where they will perform three times before heading over to Dublin. After that, things go further afield with shows all across North America and then east towards South Korea, Japan, and Australia. As for Zayn, his colleagues will be in Ireland next month for a live recording of WWE SmackDown.

Grandfather defends parents in autistic child neglect case
PETALING JAYA: The grandfather of six-year-old Zayn Rayyan Abdul Matin testified in court today, insisting his son and daughter-in-law were loving parents who would never neglect or harm their autistic child. Zahari Mohd Reba, 57, appeared as a defence witness in the trial of Ismanira Abdul Manaf, stating that both she and her husband, Zaim Ikhwan, deeply cared for their late son. 'Zayn was my beloved grandson. If either of his parents were not working, I would make sure they came over to spend time with him. He was very close to his parents. I believe my son and daughter-in-law were not involved in his death,' Zahari said during examination-in-chief by defence lawyer Haresh Mahadevan. The grandfather described his grief over losing his eldest grandchild, emphasising the strong bond Zayn shared with his parents. Under cross-examination by Deputy Public Prosecutor Raja Zaizul Faridah Raja Zaharudin, Zahari confirmed that Zayn, who was autistic, needed constant care and had a close relationship with both parents. He also agreed that Ismanira and Zaim treated Zayn and his younger sibling equally. On Monday, Judge Dr Syahliza Warnoh ruled that the prosecution had established a prima facie case, requiring Ismanira to enter her defence. Her husband, Zaim Ikhwan, 30, was acquitted of the same charge. The couple had been accused of neglecting Zayn in a manner likely to cause physical harm between December 5 and 6, 2023, near Block R of Idaman Apartment, Damansara Damai, and a nearby river. They faced charges under Section 31(1)(a) of the Child Act 2001, read with Section 34 of the Penal Code, which carries a maximum penalty of 20 years' jail, a RM50,000 fine, or both. The trial resumes tomorrow. – Bernama
