Allahabad HC grants time to Sambhal masjid body to file rejoinder in mosque-temple case
The Allahabad High Court on Monday granted time to the Sambhal Jama Masjid Committee to submit a rejoinder to the counter-affidavit filed by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) in the dispute relating to the mosque and Harihar temple at Sambhal. When the matter was taken up on Monday, the counsel for the ASI said he had filed his counter-affidavit on which Justice Rohit Ranjan Agarwal granted time to the masjid committee to file a rejoinder and fixed May 12 for the next hearing. The Hindu side plaintiff had sought a declaration to the effect that they have the right of access to Shri Hari Har Temple , which is alleged Jami Masjid situated at Mohalla Kot Purvi in Sambhal district. The present civil revision was filed after the order of the Supreme Court in this regard challenging the entire proceedings as well as the maintainability of the suit before the Sambhal district court . Live Events In the petition, it was alleged that the suit was filed in the afternoon of November 19 last year and within hours, the judge appointed an advocate commissioner and directed him to carry out an initial survey at the mosque which was done on the same day and again on November 24. The court had also directed that a report of the survey be filed before it by November 29. Advocate Hari Shanker Jain and seven others have filed a suit before the court of civil judge senior division, Sambhal, on the plea that Shahi Idgah mosque was built after demolishing a temple at Sambhal. Sambhal has been tense since November 24 last year when four people died and several, including police personnel, were injured in clashes between the locals and the administration over the court-ordered survey of the ASI-protected Shahi Jama Masjid in the Kot Garvi area of the city.

When the actress appeared on the set, Khan proposed to her before going to her home, where he reportedly raped her. As per the Charkop police station, the 30-year-old woman has accused him of raping her at multiple locations by promising her film roles. She said that Khan raped her on April 25 at her house and assaulted her several times following the incident. She also noted that Khan justified his wish to marry her by mentioning his religion, permitting him four marriages. Charges against Ajaz Khan The rape charges were filed against the actor while he is already facing accusations of making obscene content. In various episodes of House Arrest, Khan was seen pressuring women contestants to act out intimate scenes and asking them vulgar questions. "Pakistan is not responding because of ongoing tension after the Pahalgam attack, but we have lodged our protest with the Pak Rangers and are making all efforts to bring back the jawan," the officer added.

Himachal Pradesh weather: IMD forecasts rain, hailstorms across state for next three days
Over the last 24 hours, various parts of Himachal Pradesh have experienced rain, thunderstorms, lightning, and hailstorms. This bout of extreme weather comes after nearly three consecutive days of unstable conditions affecting almost all districts, including rainfall, hail, and snowfall in higher altitudes. "In the last 24 hours, light to moderate rain has been recorded in most parts of Himachal Pradesh. Hailstorms have also been reported from a few areas," said Sandeep Kumar Sharma, Senior Scientist at the Meteorological Centre, Shimla, while speaking to ANI. He added that Bilaspur received the highest rainfall with 74 mm, followed by Kandaghat in Solan district with 67 mm. Hailstorms were reported in Shimla and Kasauli, and strong winds were recorded at several stations. Looking ahead, the IMD forecast indicates the possibility of light to moderate rain in the plains and mid-hill regions from May 5 to May 8, while higher reaches are likely to witness snowfall. In Solan, the maximum temperature was 30degrees Celsius, which is a significant 10 degrees below normal, while Mandi recorded 27.8degrees Celsius, about 5 degrees below average. Weather conditions are expected to become active again from this evening, with increased cloud cover and consistently lower-than-average temperatures expected to persist. According to IMD data, rainfall for the month of May so far has been 22% above normal across the state. However, some districts, including Kullu and Lahaul-Spiti, have received below-average rainfall, while six districts have recorded above-normal rainfall, and the rest are close to average. The IMD has maintained a hailstorm alert for May 5 and 6 in districts including Shimla, Kangra, and Mandi. Thunderstorms are expected to continue across the state (excluding Lahaul-Spiti) over the next five days, with intermittent clear weather periods. However, light to moderate rainfall will persist in many areas, and gusty winds may occur in some districts.
