5 Kaizer Chiefs players set to exit Naturena: Latest transfer news

MOVING ON Kaizer Chiefs are set for major changes with five players, including George Matlou (PICTURED) and Zitha Kwinika, poised to exit Naturena after an underwhelming season. Picture: Gavin Barker/BackpagePix According to iDiski Times though, five players could have already said goodbye to Chiefs, which would add to the big name exit of Ranga Chivaviro earlier this month. Since the end of the season, the rumour mills have begun to swirl about high-profile transfers with Percy Tau even linked with a possible move to Chiefs. Though Chiefs did win their first piece of silverware in a decade when they beat Orlando Pirates in the Nedbank Cup final last month, it did not hide the fact that the AmaKhosi finished outside the top eight for a second season in a row. After another underwhelming campaign from Kaizer Chiefs that saw them finish ninth in the Betway Premiership , as many as five players could already be heading out the door at the Soweto Giants. George Matlou The 26-year-old George Matlou will see his contract at Chiefs expire at the end of June. It's believed that Sekhukune United may be interested in signing the midfielder. It may come as quite a shock to Chiefs fans, as Matlou was a big hit after the Nedbank Cup final as he refused to take off his match kit for several days after the encounter. Fiacre Ntwari The 25-year-old goalkeeper has not seen much game time for Kaizer Chiefs this season. The Rwandan had begun the previous season as the Chiefs number one shotstopper, but has fallen to third in the pecking order behind Bruce Bvuma and Brandon Petersen. Samkelo Zwane With Chiefs already said to be looking to boost their midfield, the 23-year-old Zwane also appears to be on his way out with a loan deal believed to be on the table. Tebogo Potsane At 31, the winger is also another player said to be on his way out of Naturena on a loan deal. He did not feature much in this recently concluded campaign, although there were reports that it was mostly due to injury. Given his age though, Chiefs could be forgiven for looking to younger charges. Zitha Kwinika Another Chiefs player on the wrong side of 30, the 31-year-old defender Zitha Kwinika was not favoured much this campaign under coach Nasreddine Nabi. With just one appearance as a substitute this season, there seems little keeping him at Chiefs. @Michael_Sherman IOL Sport

Kaizer Chiefs: NINE Amakhosi stars heading out!

Kaizer Chiefs are going to trimming their squad in the next transfer window. Kaizer Chiefs have lined up several top Bafana Bafana stars, Sundowns stars as well as these PSL rival players and Orlando Pirates' targets. So, while thos serves as good news for Amakhosi fans, it is not good news for the current crop of players. This means that several players will be offloaded – some on loan and some permanently. FULL LIST OF CHIEFS STARS HEADING OUT Fiacre Ntwari Aden McCarthy (Loan) Zitha Kwinika Happy Mashiane George Matlou Edson Castillo Mduduzi Mdantsane Ranga Chivaviro Ntwari is linked with a likely exit, as reported on The South African. Moreover, his possible replacement/s have already been identified with these THREE goalkeepers on Chiefs' radar. Meanwhile, McCarthy recently made his Amakhosi debut in the PSL. However, he does not form a part of Nasreddine Nabi's immediete plans. So, the club is keen to give him experience and some much needed playing time. So, he will likely leave on loan in the next transfer window. In defence, Inacio Miguel and Rushwin Dortley have established themselves as the first choice centre back pairing under Nabi. With Given Msimango, Bradley Cross and Edmilson Dove stepping into the heart of defence when needed. Therefore, Zitha Kwinika and McCarthy are unlikely to play at Chiefs in the future, as reported on KickOff. Furthermore, the same publication stated that Mashiane, Castillo and Matlou are all likely heading out of Naturena. Moreover, Mdantsane, who is currently on loan to with PSL rivals Richards Bay, is set to be released at the end of the season. Moreover, midfielder Potsane has been transfer listed by Chiefs. Finally, striker Chivaviro is set to make way for one or two red hot attacking targets. WHO SHOULD REPLACE THESE OUTGOING AMAKHOSI STARS? Chiefs turn attention to the league after Nedbank Cup exploits

Kaizer Chiefs have paused celebrations after they won the Nedbank Cup last weekend, their first trophy in 10 years, and have shifted their focus to finishing the Betway Premiership in the top eight. Their mission starts with a tricky trip to face Sekhukhune United at Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane on Saturday, where three points will bring them closer to qualifying for the MTN8 next season. It is not going to be an easy outing against third-placed Sekhukhune, who have ambitions of their own to return to the Confederation Cup next season. 'I am happy because it is something [winning Nedbank Cup] we have all been looking for,' said defender Zitha Kwinika.
