Zoë Foster Blake turns heads at the Logies for the wrong reasons as she's mocked for 'shower curtain' gown
Zoë Foster Blake was attracting attention at the Logies - and some would say for the wrong reasons. The 45-year-old had husband Hamish Blake on her arm as she walked the red carpet at The Star in Sydney. The skincare mogul chose an unusual gown for the occasion, consisting of pearl-toned panels. Inspired by Art Deco designs, the frock included large cuts-outs that showed off her midriff and a hint of bust. The skirting was semi-detached and featured an unusual triangular pattern. Zoë finished the ensemble with a pair of strappy black heels and pearl drop earrings, as well as a number of diamond rings. Not everyone appreciated the author's look, with some comparing it to a 'shower curtain' online. Another chimed in: 'Is she wearing a shower curtain?!' Hamish, meanwhile, looked handsome on his wife's arm, contrasting her avant-garde fashion moment with a classic black tuxedo. It comes after news that Zoë is setting out to forge a new career in television. The Go-To skincare mogul has just sold the TV rights to her new novel Things Will Calm Down Soon. And there's a chance that Nicole Kidman will play the book's main character - a businesswoman with a resemblance to the real-life Blake. TV Tonight reported that Blake has made the deal with Sydney-based company Made Up Stories who plan to make the book as a series in the US. The high-profile outfit is led by producer Bruna Papandrea, who has a strong relationship with Kidman. The Hollywood superstar has already starred in a number of Made Up Stories productions, including HBO's The Undoing in 2020 and 2021's Nine Perfect Strangers as well as the Apple+ anthology series Roar in 2022. The Oscar winner also co-produced the 2017 HBO hit Big Little Lies with Papandrea. Blake, who shares Sonny, eight, and Rudy, five, with her radio star husband Hamish, also announced she will be an executive producer on the new series. Things Will Calm Down Soon centres on a 30-year-old hairstylist called Kit who sets out to launch her own product line. But things get complicated as the would-be corporate mogul tangles with investors amidst romantic disappointment and family demands.

'I'm midway through writing a novel about the magic and width and depth of female friendships,' she wrote. 'By then you've collected a couple decades worth of life, stories and mems, supporting each other through the mad turns of life, but while you love each other with aggressive ferocity, you don't actually see each other much.' The former beauty editor said her last full-blown girls trip was in 2010, when she turned 30 and first fell in love with Mykonos. More than a decade later, she returned to the exact spot to soak up the sun, drink in the inspiration - and get some words on the page. 'In the name of research (@ATO) and in-situ writing (and write I did)… last week I went to Mykonos, where my fictional story is set,' she revealed, thanking her husband, comedian Hamish Blake, for holding down the fort at home while she indulged in a long overdue girls getaway. 'I used to travel and write in my twenties; different story with a family at home,' she continued. 'Loving shout out to my husband for the golden nod and school-holidaying the kids alone.' Zoës heartfelt post struck a chord with followers, as she celebrated the unique magic of female friendships - from the chaotic WhatsApp chats to the 'volume 10 hyping' and late-night dance floor antics. 'Romantic love is great, but female friendship is equally as powerful and precious a love story,' she wrote. 'Now tag the women you want to go away with, and yell at each other 'til it happens.'
