The Zubair Corporation appoints Fahad Al Bulushi as Group Chief Financial Officer
Muscat – The Zubair Corporation, one of Oman's most respected and diversified business groups, is pleased to announce the appointment of Fahad Al Bulushi as its new Group Chief Financial Officer (Group CFO). Bringing over 25 years of experience in Finance, Investment, and Executive Leadership, Fahad takes this role at a strategic time in the Group's continued transformation journey. He has held key positions including Acting CEO and COO at Taageer Finance Company, Group CFO at Oman National Investment Development Company 'TANMIA' and served in senior leadership roles at BankMuscat (Oman, Kuwait, and Saudi) and at Oman LNG as well. Commenting on the appointment, Niels Bormans, Group CEO of The Zubair Corporation, said, 'We are delighted to welcome Fahad to the leadership team. His deep expertise in Financial Strategy, Governance, and Investment Management will be instrumental as we continue to build sustainable value across our portfolio of companies.' In addition to his executive roles, Fahad has held Board positions at several major organisations including SalamAir, BAUER Nimr, Al Meera Markets, Al Bashayer Meat Company, and Oman Fisheries, contributing to Corporate Governance, Financial Performance, and sectoral growth across Aviation, Food Security, and Industry. Fahad is a Fellow member with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and holds a bachelor's degree in commerce & economics from Sultan Qaboos University. He is also an alumnus of the IMD Business School, where he completed the Foundations for Business Leadership program. Dar Al Atta' recognises INMA as strategic success partner in Oman's first solar-powered community
Muscat, Oman – Dar Al Atta' has officially inaugurated Hay Al Atta, Oman's first solar-powered residential community for families impacted by past cyclones in Al Khabourah. During the handover ceremony, INMA, the Real Estate Development arm of The Zubair Corporation was recognised as a strategic success partner for its pivotal role in the project's design and delivery. INMA was entrusted to lead the master planning and architectural design, delivering a cost-effective and community-centric layout that includes 36 villas, a mosque, a majlis, retail units, and a garden. The team also provided technical support throughout the process, coordinating with EIDC, managing the bill of quantities (BOQ) and tendering process, and ensuring quality from design to completion. ARA Petroleum partners with Sultan Qaboos University in a groundbreaking R&D agreement
Muscat - ARA Petroleum (ARA), the oil & gas exploration and production arm of The Zubair Corporation, has initiated a pioneering research and development agreement with Sultan Qaboos University (SQU) to explore the transformation of produced saline water from oil and gas operations into sustainable energy byproducts, specifically Biohydrogen and Biochar. The agreement marks a significant step toward addressing environmental challenges in the energy sector through innovation and collaboration. The partnership is supported by the Ministry of Higher Education, Research, and Innovation (MoHERI), which, through its EJAAD platform, has played a pivotal role in facilitating this industry-academia collaboration. The Ministry's involvement underscores the national commitment to advancing a diversified, knowledge-based economy. The research will be led by experts and graduate students from SQU in collaboration with ARA Petroleum's R&D engineers. ARA will provide funding and technical support for the initiative, aligning with its commitment to sustainable practices and operational efficiency. The study aims to assess the feasibility of converting produced saline water a byproduct of oil extraction into valuable resources that contribute to environmental sustainability. Dr. Omar Al Jaaidi, Vice President of ARA Petroleum and Prof. Dr. Amer Bin Saif Al Hinai, Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Postgraduate Studies and Research attended the ceremony and signed on behalf of the two parties.
