Kulim police chief Zulkifli Azizan said in the attempted robbery at around 5pm, the 39-year-old clerk suffered injuries to her legs, face and left hand, but lost nothing of value, Utusan Malaysia reported. He said the victim, her mother and a friend were in the kitchen when a motorcycle with two men showed up at the back alley. 'The victim's friend rushed into the house, followed by one of the robbers who attempted to snatch her necklace,' Zulkifli was quoted as saying. He said the victim tried to push the man out of her house but ended up a target herself as he then tried to snatch her necklace. According to Zulkifli, the robber then dragged the victim out of the house by her hair before she fell down on the road. He said the second robber was waiting outside the back entrance of the house on the motorcycle and the duo fled the scene soon after. 'The two men escaped when neighbours heard the screams from the victims and came over to help them. The robbers could not be recognised because they were wearing face masks and helmets,' he added. Zulkifli said footage of the incident, captured on CCTV at the back of the house, showed the man who entered the kitchen was thin and around 160cm-tall. * Follow us on Instagram and join our Telegram and/or WhatsApp channel(s) for the latest news you don't want to miss. * Do you have access to the Daily Express e-paper and online exclusive news?
