Park Bo-Gum Kim So-Hyun And Lee Sang-Yi Discuss Their Drama ‘Good Boy'

Park Bo-gum plays an Olympic gold medal boxer in 'Good Boy.' What happens when a team of former Olympians band together to fight crime? That's the question answered by the Korean action comedy Good Boy. Those Olympians includes Yoon Dong-ju (Park Bo-gum), a gold medal Olympic boxer turned police officer, and Ji Han-na (Kim So-hyun), a police officer and winner of a gold medal for shooting. After their stellar sports careers were unfairly cut short, they each began a second career as a police officer, determined to use their special skills to make the world a better place. The team also includes Lee Sang-yi (No Gain, No Love, Bloodhounds, My Demon) as Kim Jong-hyeon, a former silver medalist fencer. Together these former sports heroes will seek out villains and protect the vulnerable. At a recent press conference Park, Kim and Lee answered a few questions about their upcoming drama and the highly skilled characters they play. A few months ago Park earned a Best Actor nomination at the Baeksang Arts Awards for his role in the TV drama When Life Gives You Tangerines, but he didn't rest for long after completing that role. "We were shooting Good Boy about two months after finishing When Life Gives You Tangerines,' said Park. While he wholly immersed himself in his When Life Gives You Tangerines character he didn't require much time to transition to his next role in Good Boy. In general he's adept at stepping into and out of character. 'I'm the type of person who focuses completely while filming and recovers as soon as I leave the set,' he said. Since his Good Boy character is a champion boxer some special training was in order. 'I took boxing for a short period of time when I was in high school,' said Park. 'For this role, I trained two hours a day for six months.' His character Dong-ju is named after the Korean poet Yoon Dong-ju, but the character didn't always live up to his esteemed name, getting into fights while he was in school. However, the character eventually turned his life around and tries to live up to the name his mother gave him. Kim So-hyun plays a gold medal Olympic shooting expert in 'Good Boy.' 'Just like his mother's dying words asking him 'to live up to your name without shame,' Yoon Dong-ju had a time in his life where his meaningful name was cheered by the nation,' said Park. 'You will be able to see Dong-ju with his powerful punches and fearless fighting skills, as he uses his abilities from his athlete days to hunt down criminals as a police officer.' For Park (Record of Youth, Encounter) every moment he spent acting with the other cast members was fun. 'I had great synergy with the staff on set as well," he said. 'It's a project I'll remember for a long time.' Kim So-hyun plays a character with expert marksmanship skills. It was the first time she ever needed to handle a gun for a role. 'I had experience with swords and bows in historical dramas, but this was my first time using a firearm,' said Kim. 'Handling a firearm requires both caution and confidence, I was surprised by how often misfires happen, which made it all the more tense.' As a prodigy, her character experiences early fame, but misunderstandings threaten her career, so she applies for special recruitment to the police force, hoping to be an officer like her father. Kim began her career as a child actress, which made it easier to relate to her character. 'Like Han-na, I experienced early fame, attention, and even envy or jealousy,' said Kim. 'That helped me connect with her on a deeper level. Despite facing injustice, Han-na is resilient. According to Kim (My Lovely Liar, River Where The Moon Rises and Tale of Nokdu), the character owes her resilience to her father. It's love that helps her persevere. 'Her love for her father gave her the strength to take back everything with her own hands," said Kim. Lee Sang-yi used his experience as a military police officer to create his character in 'Good Boy.' Lee Sang-yi had some real life experience as a military police officer. It's a role he filled while serving the mandatory military duty required of all able-bodied Korean males. 'It definitely helped,' said Lee. 'Knowing how to wear a stab-proof vest, use a baton, and understand police radio codes helped a lot.' He recently starred in the romantic comedy No Gain No Love and its spinoff, Spice Up Our Love, in which he plays a corporate executive who falls for a shy romance novelist. He also has a romantic interest in Good Boy. His character really wants to protect Han-na. 'There's a scene where Dong-ju and I receive a gift from Han-na's mother,' said Lee. 'I think viewers will find it very cute and fun.' His character became a police officer because of Han-na. 'He got a silver medal as an athlete and wanted to stay close to her," said Lee. "I think Han-na played a large role in him becoming a police officer. Through this role, I indirectly experienced what it's like to be a police officer, and it's truly a tough and admirable job. The overnight stakeouts, the intense training—I have deep respect for police officers everywhere.' Lee's multi-faceted career has included appearing in musicals and plays as well as TV dramas and films. 'I want to continue challenging myself in various areas,' he said. 'I don't want to be limited to one field; I'd like to cross genres freely. Lately, I've been doing more action roles. I'm interested in roles that involve a lot of physical movement like zombies or dancing, even though they are physically tough.' Good Boy satisfies those requirements as it naturally includes plenty of action scenes. The drama also stars Oh Jung-se as a civil servant, while Heo Sung-tae and Tae Won-suk play former bronze medalists who join the crime-fighting team. The story was written by Lee Dae-il, who wrote screenplays for the dramas Chief of Staff, Life on Mars and Bring It On Ghost. Good Boy is directed by Sim Na-yeon, who previously directed The Good Bad Mother, Beyond Evil and At Eighteen. The drama airs on Prime.

Kyle Sandilands makes Hollywood debut alongside bikini clad model and international star Ice-T as he steps out on Gold Coast set of Zombie Plane

Kyle Sandilands made his Hollywood debut on Tuesday as he was spotted on the Gold Coast set of Australian action comedy film Zombie Plane. The radio shock jock, 53, brushed shoulders with international star and rapper Ice-T, who was also spotted on set of the upcoming flick. Filming for the day appeared to be taking place on a lavish yacht where a model could be seen stretching as she prepared for filming. The brunette beauty flaunted her figure as she stripped down to a leopard print one-piece bathing suit and lounged back on the lavish boat. Meanwhile, Kyle was dressed in a captain's vest and white shirt for his scenes, in which he will play the billionaire captain of the yacht. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. Filming for the day appeared to be taking place on a lavish yacht where a model could be seen stretching as she prepared for filming The radio star paired the look with black shorts and carried a captain's hat in hand with a name badge on his vest which read 'Kyle'. Between takes, Kyle could be seen wearing a black cap with a pair of sunglasses resting on his head as he spoke with other members of the cast. At one point, he was also seen smiling as he interacted with a dog on set. Elsewhere, hitmaker Ice-T, 67, kept things casual in a white jersey shirt with matching shorts. It comes after Kyle revealed his big screen career got off to a shaky start. The KIIS FM star jetted off to the Gold Coast to shoot scenes for his Hollywood debut in the campy action flick Zombie Plane this week. Kyle revealed on Tuesday his first foray in front of the camera appeared doomed before he even got off the plane. He explained he was 'humiliated' by Aussie actor Stephen Curry about his date of birth after calling it out on air. The radio star paired the look with black shorts and carried a captain's hat in hand with a name badge on his vest which read 'Kyle' 'I was humiliated yesterday. You might remember me mentioning Stephen Curry's birthday. Stephen Curry is the actor from The Castle.' Kyle went on to explain Stephen was on the same flight to the Gold Coast on Monday night. 'I look over and there's Stephen Curry sitting opposite me. I said, "Happy birthday, mate," and he said "Hey?" I said, "Isn't it your birthday?" and he said, "No",' Kyle explained. Adding Stephen was not forthcoming with his actual date of birth, Kyle said he then chastised producer Bruno Boucher for giving him false information. Bruno however defended himself saying all sources pointed to the actor's birthday being May 26. Kyle, who will play a billionaire yacht owner in the film, then went off to costuming where he embarrassed himself in front of the actor again, as well as production staff. 'I've walked in and there's Stephen Curry looking like an anorexic Mr Magoo and I said, "It is your birthday," and he went, "It's not I don't know what to tell you," and then everyone looked at me.' Kyle's set troubles didn't end there, with the radio star admitting he wasn't the biggest fan of his on screen attire. 'I said, "Okay what am I wearing",' Kyle said. '[They said] we've been on the boat with the real guy and the captain wears the same clothes as the other guys.' This did not sit well with Kyle who said he felt like a particular reality TV show character. 'All of a sudden I'm Captain Sandy from Below Deck looking like every other b***ard,' he said. 'Bruno knew I was distressed. I'm not coming up here to play an employee.' Bruno and newsreader Brooklyn Ross tried to soothe Kyle's ego saying the costume may be for comedic effect. 'So I've been brought in to be laughed at?' Kyle replied. 'Maybe I should just come home. I feel this whole thing is a disaster.' The KIIS FM star revealed on his The Kyle & Jackie O show on Monday morning that he is making his movie debut alongside Chuck Norris for the actor's final-ever film.

Kyle Sandilands announces shock new career move after $200million 10-year mega radio deal

Kyle Sandilands has announced a shock new career move almost two year after signing a 10-year $200million radio deal. The KIIS FM star, 53, revealed on his The Kyle & Jackie O show on Monday morning that he is making his movie debut alongside Chuck Norris for the actor's final-ever film. Sandilands will star in the upcoming Australian action comedy Zombie Plane, which tells the story of high-profile celebrities fighting Zombies on a flight from Sydney to Los Angeles. It stars Chuck Norris, Vanilla Ice, Ice T, Sir Bob Geldof, Brian Austin Green and Sophie Monk as fictitious versions of themselves. Australian stars Natalie Bassingwaithe, Cody Simpson, Matt Okine, Dan Ewing and Amy Shark are also set to appear in the film. 'I don't know whether you'd call it 'movie star', or would you call it a cameo just playing myself in a movie. But yes, I'm doing this,' Kyle revealed on air. Kyle also admitted that he was quite chuffed to be starring alongside his childhood hero, action veteran Chuck Norris. 'Didn't you use to watch Chuck Norris growing up and want to be him?' Jackie 'O' Henderson asked her co-star, to which he replied 'Oh, 100 per cent yes.' 'Imagine if someone came along and told your younger self, don't worry, Kyle. You're homeless now but one day, you're going to be in a movie with Chuck Norris,' Jackie added. 'I would've probably not believed them, Jackie,' the future movie star replied. Kyle then went on to explain the action packed plot of the upcoming flick. 'Prepare yourself. Zombie Plane. That's right. Zombie Plane,' Kyle said, revealing the film's title. 'Sydney to LA, a flight is taken over by zombies and an eclectic group of high-profile passengers led by celebrities turned secret agents, must band together to fight to save humanity. Have you ever heard of a better plot ever? The KIIS FM star, 53, revealed on his Kyle & Jackie O show on Monday morning that he is making his movie debut alongside Chuck Norris for the actor's final-ever film. Jackie agreed, saying the film had 'Oscars written all over it'. 'I'm actually picking out my Oscars outfit now,' Kyle said in anticipation of his soon-to-be superstardom. 'Who's doing the soundtrack? FloRida. Hello. Everything's lined up for success here. I love it. We'll be going to Cannes, probably. We'll be going to all the film festivals. Probably.' He added: 'Move over, Leo. You've had your turn. It's Sandilands' turn.' While admitting the script was under strict embargo, Kyle did spill some details of what his role would entail. 'I'm playing myself as a very rich man on a super yacht,' he said. 'Then a big American submarine pops u and out pops Ice T who's in charge of the submarine and I've got to help them.' He also revealed that his scenes would require a full day's filming on the Gold Coast this week. 'I'm flying to the Gold Coast today and I film tomorrow all day. I'll still do the radio show in the morning from the hotel then I'll be off to the film set,' he said. While Hollywood may be beckoning, Kyle still has plenty of life in his radio career yet. Kyle and Jackie signed a record-breaking $200 million deal with Australian Radio Network (ARN) in November 2023 that would see them remain on airwaves until 2034 - earning a whopping $10m per year salary each. In January, the duo opened up about what their extensive contracts stated would happen to the show if one of them were to die. 'I've got a whole page in there about what happens if you die,' Jackie told Kyle.

Fun Trailer for Arnold Schwarzenegger's Action-Comedy FUBAR Season 2 with Carrie-Anne Moss — GeekTyrant

Netflix has released the first trailer for Season 2 of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Carrie-Anne Moss' action-comedy series Fubar . Schwarzenegger is returning as grizzled CIA vet Luke Brunner, who is once again teamed up with Monica Barbaro as Emma, his daughter and fellow operative. The father-daughter duo is back on the job, and this time the threat is personal. Moss joins the story as an ex–East German spy. According to Netflix, Greta is 'an old flame from his past who threatens to destroy the world… if she doesn't destroy [Luke's] life first.' Moss talked about the experience of working with Schwarzenegger, saying: 'I watched the show, and I laughed so hard, and in the way that he described Greta, I just thought it would be really, really fun. And, of course, working with Arnold was just an amazing thought in my mind — like, how amazing would that be?' 'The first time that I met him was actually in a dance rehearsal. We just jumped in, and it was just so fun. He's just a hoot. We got to know each other, rehearsing to start with, and then on the set, and then we'd run into each other at the gym and have breakfast. I mean, fun is just the word that comes up all the time.' You'll see the two dance together in the trailer. Schwarzenegger went into filming just after open-heart surgery. Back in March, he addressed concerns about his health and the show's schedule, saying: 'I've gotten so many kind messages from all over the world, but a lot of people have asked if my pacemaker will cause any problems with Fubar Season 2. Absolutely not. I will be ready to film in April and you can only see it if you're really looking for it.' Moss joins a packed returning cast that includes Barbaro, Fortune Feimster, Travis Van Winkle, Jay Baruchel, Aparna Brielle, Andy Buckley, Milan Carter, Fabiana Udenio, and Barbara Eve Harris. Fubar is the creator of Nick Santora, who returns as showrunner, and executive producer. The series is set to premiere on June 12th.
