Style Advice for Men of Every Generation—From Gen Z to Boomers
Daniel Baker was paralyzed by indecision. This past winter, the investor relations expert, 46, stepped into his Palm Beach, Fla., closet and realized that he owned piles of clothes but none he felt comfortable wearing. 'You hit a big birthday—30, 40, 45—and suddenly you do want to pause and reassess your look,' said Baker. His goal: 'Not to have things look suddenly wrong.'
Personal stylist Fiona Smart knows all too well the 'age panic' that men experience when dressing. 'Looking your best changes depending on your stage of life,' said Smart, who steers the wardrobes of finance and tech types aged 25 to 60-plus in London and New York. Among her clients' top concerns? Looking 'more current' and dealing with the changing fit of clothes as their bodies age.
