Probe Agency Conducts Searches In Premises Of 3 Suspected UP Shell Companies
New Delhi: Directorate of Enforcement (ED), Chandigarh Zonal Office has carried out search operations at the premises of three suspected shell companies located in Uttar Pradesh's Noida and Lucknow, the central agency said on Monday. ED stated that raids were carried out under the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), 2002. "Directorate of Enforcement (ED), Chandigarh Zonal Office has carried out search operations on 04.07.2025 at the premises of three suspected shell companies - Kindent Business Solutions Pvt. Ltd., Rainet Technology Pvt. Ltd. and Mool Business Solutions Pvt. Ltd. located in Noida and Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, under the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), 2002. The companies were being operated by dummy Directors and were posing as IT firms offering wallet-based APIs, domestic money transfers (DMT), Aadhaar-enabled payment systems (AEPS) and bill payment solutions," ED said in a press release. ED, Chandigarh has carried out search operations on 04.07.2025 at the premises of three suspected shell companies - Kindent Business Solutions Pvt. Ltd., Rainet Technology Pvt. Ltd. and Mool Business Solutions Pvt. Ltd. located in Noida and Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, under the... ED further stated that the management of these companies could not substantiate that the activities carried out by them are within the framework regulated by the RBI. "It was then found that these companies were actually fronts for laundering Proceeds of Crime (POC) generated through the multi-crore QFX/YFX online forex and MLM (Multi Level Marketing) scam, which duped thousands of investors across India," the agency added. ED stated that based on the evidence recovered, the agency has frozen 116 accounts in several banks associated with these entities, and as per confirmation received so far from 16 bank accounts, more than Rs 103 Crore of POC has been frozen. "Numerous digital devices, financial documents and electronic records were also seized from the premises and are currently under forensic examination to establish the complete trail of POC and persons involved in the scam. ED also conducted searches in February 2025 and had frozen several bank accounts associated with QFX, YorkerFX and botbro etc. securing 187 Crore of POC. The main masterminds Navab alias Luvish Chaudhary, Rajender Sood, Vineet Kumar and Santosh Kumar absconded to Dubai after defrauding thousands of innocent investors," the ED said. The agency further said that the ongoing investigation is likely to expose more such shell companies, benami assets and complex layering networks used to disguise the origin of funds defrauded from innocent investors. It is also likely to uncover additional individuals, masterminds, operators, beneficiaries and front-end facilitators involved in orchestrating and facilitating the laundering of POC from the QFX scam, the release said.

72-Year-Old Woman Among 4 Shot Dead By Unidentified Gunmen In Manipur's Churachandpur: Police

At least four people, including a 72-year-old woman, were shot dead on Monday afternoon after unidentified gunmen opened fire on a vehicle near Manipur's Churachandpur district, police said. Sources indicated that the killings are not related to ethnic tensions in the Myanmar-bordering state but are suspected to stem from an intergroup clash among Kuki insurgents. The ambush occurred around 2 PM near Mongjang village in Churachandpur, with reports indicating that the victims were travelling in an SUV when they were attacked. The victims of the targeted attack have been identified as Thenkhothang Haokip alias Thahpi (48), Seikhogin (34), Lengouhao (35) and Phalhing (72). Preliminary reports suggested that they were shot from a point-blank range, another official in the Churachandpur district headquarters said. Over a dozen empty shells were recovered from the scene, while no group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack. Following the incident, police and additional security forces were deployed to the area to secure the site and begin search operations. Man arrested for ‘molesting' 13-year-old in Arunachal
Itanagar: A man accused of molesting a minor was arrested in Arunachal Pradesh 's Changlang district on Sunday, police said. The accused has been identified as Marge alias Tai alias Barik Riba (26) from Pagi village in Leparada district, Itanagar Capital Complex superintendent of police Rohit Rajbir Singh said on Monday. The SP said a written FIR was received on April 30 from a woman who alleged that Marge came to their residence at Papu Hills near Oju Mission School in Naharlagun and molested her 13-year-old daughter. The accused fled when the house maid came to the kitchen to drink water, Singh said. Police have registered a case at the Itanagar women's police station under Section 4(2)/8 POCSO Act. Police also checked the accused's record and found that he had also been chargesheeted in a case under Section 392/34 IPC read with Section 25(1) B/27 Arms Act at Yazali police station. The trial in that case is ongoing before the CJM Court in Ziro in Lower Subansiri. Further investigation in the case is on, the SP said.

6 terrorists killed, 4 injured in Bannu operation, says ISPR
Security forces killed six terrorists in an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the Bannu district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the military's media wing said on Friday. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement that the operation was conducted on the night of April 23-24 after reports of the presence of militants in the area. Security forces engaged the militants' location, killing six and injuring four others after an intense exchange of fire, the ISPR said. 'A sanitisation operation is being conducted to eliminate any other Khawarij found in the area as the security forces of Pakistan are 'determined to wipe out the menace of terrorism from the country and such sacrifices of our brave soldiers further strengthen our resolve', it added. Earlier this week, the security forces killed six terrorists in two separate operations in North and South Waziristan districts, the ISPR said. In the first operation, conducted on the reported presence of terrorists in the Razmak area of North Waziristan, five 'Khawarij' were killed. 'Own troops effectively engaged the location; resultantly, five Khwarij were sent to hell,' said the ISPR statement. In a separate operation in South Waziristan, a key militant commander identified as Zabi Ullah alias Zakran was killed.

14 Maoists surrender before police in Hanamkonda
As many as 14 Maoists including the Galikonda Area Committee member (ACM) of the outlawed CPI (Maoist) Andhra Odisha Border Special Zonal Committee (AOBSZC) Madivi Andha alias Rajesh have surrendered before the police in Telangana's Hanamkonda on Thursday. Those surrendered include two CPI (Maoist) ACMs, seven party members, one militia commander and four militia members, the police said. The 14 Maoists turned themselves in before Inspector General of Police, Multi Zone-I, Hyderabad, S. Chandrasekhar Reddy, at the Warangal Police Commissionerate office in Hanamkonda and Warangal Police Commissioner Sunpreet Singh. The surrendered Maoists were allegedly involved in several incidents of Maoist violence in Chhattisgarh and Odisha. According to the police, they had quit the banned outfit and joined the mainstream attracted by the Telangana government's rehabilitation policy for the surrendered Maoists. As many as 18 armed Maoists including three State committee members died in separate incidents of 'exchange of fire' in the State since January 2024. A total of 12 Maoists of various cadres have been arrested and 250 Maoists including a State committee member have surrendered before the police in Telangana so far this year.
