Awqaf Ministry Determines Public Prayer Locations for Eid Prayer The Ministry of Awqaf, Islamic Affairs, and Holy Places announced that the Eid al-Fitr prayer will be held at 7:00 AM at public prayer locations, in addition to the mosques where Friday prayers are held. اضافة اعلان In a press statement on Thursday, the ministry stated that the main Eid prayer site in the Kingdom will be at the Sports City in the capital, Amman, at Gate No. 3. On Behalf of the King, Crown Prince Sponsors the Conclusion of the Hashemite Local and International Quran Memorization Competition On behalf of His Majesty King Abdullah II, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II sponsored on Wednesday, the closing ceremony of the 32nd edition of the Hashemite Local and International Quran Memorization and Recitation Competition for males, organized by the Ministry of Awqaf, Islamic Affairs, and Holy Places at the King Hussein bin Talal Mosque. اضافة اعلان In his speech, Minister of Awqaf, Islamic Affairs, and Holy Places Dr. Mohammad Al-Khalaileh stated that the competition is one of the first global competitions for Quran memorization and is continuously supported by His Majesty the King and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, reflecting the Hashemites' commitment to caring for the Quran, both in memorization and recitation. He explained that the competition, held annually, has graduated many Quran memorizers, with approximately 33,000 participants since its inception in 1993. At the conclusion of the ceremony, His Royal Highness the Crown Prince handed out certificates of appreciation to the winners, who numbered 35 in the local competition and 6 in the international competition, as well as to the nine members of the judging panel. This year, 3,645 participants took part in the local competition, while 54 participants from 51 countries joined the international competition. The ceremony was attended by the Chief Justice, His Eminence Dr. Abdul Hafez Al-Rabta, the Grand Mufti of the Kingdom, His Eminence Dr. Ahmed Al-Hassanat, and Imam of the Hashemite Shrine, His Excellency Dr. Ahmed Al-Khalaileh. -- (Petra)

Ministry of Awqaf: COVID-19 Vaccine Not Required for Hajj This Year - Jordan News

The spokesperson for the Ministry of Awqaf, Islamic Affairs, and Holy Places, Ali Al-Daqamseh, stated on Saturday that those registered for Hajj this year, specifically those born in 1953 , who meet the required conditions, will receive their permits starting Sunday . اضافة اعلان Al-Daqamseh added in a press statement that after receiving the Hajj permit, pilgrims must approach a licensed Hajj and Umrah company of their choice. The ministry has approved 200 companies for facilitating the required procedures during the Hajj season. He noted that permit distribution will be available from Sunday morning until 6:00 PM on Tuesday , and this deadline may be extended if there are issues completing the procedures for the pilgrims. Al-Daqamseh stressed that the issues from last year will not recur , and unapproved companies will not be allowed this year. Furthermore, he mentioned that Saudi authorities will not issue tourism or Umrah visas before Hajj , unlike in the previous year. The spokesperson emphasized that the COVID-19 vaccine is not required for performing Hajj this year , according to the latest instructions. The Ministry of Awqaf also invited those born between April 1, 1953, and December 31, 1953 , to visit Awqaf directorates to collect their Hajj permits starting Sunday morning until 6:00 PM on Tuesday .
