Brianne Howey Teases ‘Ginny & Georgia' Season 4 Might Be Juicier Than Ever
Spoilers below. There's no such thing as 'normal' for the 'Mayoress Murderess' Georgia Miller, which means there's no such thing as 'easy' for her children, Ginny and Austin. Season 3 of the Netflix hit dramedy Ginny & Georgia sees both kids have to make some terrible choices when it comes to covering for their mother's crimes, choices that include—but are not limited to—lying on the witness stand; blackmailing their neighbor; and conspiring to get Austin's abusive father, Gil, thrown in prison. Still, that's all before the season 4 finale drops another major curveball: Georgia is pregnant with their future sibling. Oh, and she doesn't know the father's identity. With that in mind, you can rest assured Ginny & Georgia will aim to capitalize on such a soapy cliffhanger. Season 4 is in the works, and the cast and crew are already teasing what's in store for the Millers when Georgia's own mother and stepfather come into the picture. (As if this family needs any more drama.) Here's what we know so far. Yes. Ginny & Georgia was renewed for a fourth season way back in May 2023, when the third-season renewal was also announced. Deadline cited 'Ginny & Georgia's very strong performance and very appealing economics' as reasons for the two-season green light. In February 2025, show creator Sarah Lampert posted a photo of the season 4 writers' room on Instagram, captioning it, 'First day of the season 4 writer's room!!! Based on today alone season 4 is going to be a RIDE.' We can anticipate most of the main cast will return for the next installment, including Howey, Gentry, La Torraca, Felix Mallard as Marcus Baker, Sara Waisglass as Maxine Baker, Jennifer Robertson as Ellen Baker, Raymond Ablack as Joe, Katie Douglas as Abby, Chelsea Clark as Norah, Nathan Mitchell as Zion Miller, and Scott Porter as Mayor Paul Randolph. In a post-finale interview with Netflix's Tudum, Lampert and showrunner Sarah Glinski shared that the 'official theme' of season 4 will be 'Cycles and Origins.' Neither of them clarified exactly what that means, but we can infer it hints at audiences learning more of Georgia's background, especially as it pertains to her mother and stepdad, who show up in a blink-and-you'll-miss-it drive-by in the season 3 finale. As Howey told Tudum, 'Sarah [Lampert] has some incredible things planned, and I can't wait to see more about the circumstances that shaped Georgia,' adding that she's looking forward to Georgia having a lot of 'Ginny moments' and concluding, 'We're going to need that therapist.' She also added that Gil, Austin's father, might not have made his final appearance in season 3. 'Look, the last time Georgia framed Gil, we thought that was the last time we were going to see him, and then he got out—so I would imagine there's more to the story,' she said. As for her unborn child (and the identity of that child's father), expect that particular storyline to take up a major chunk of season 4. Teases Howey, 'Perhaps someone new is about to be a dad.' Glinski also shared that a major theme of season 4 will be the 'burden' Georgia has inadvertently placed on her son and daughter. 'We thought the biggest consequences are how her children are changed through the process [of Georgia's trial],' Glinski told Tudum. 'The burden she leaves on Austin and Ginny at the end of season 3 is what we'll have to deal with in season 4.' Netflix has yet to announce an official date for season 4, but given that the writers' room began work in February 2025, we can expect it will still be some time before production launches on the next chapter. If the show's previous release cadence is any indicator, we can guess season 4 will drop sometime in 2027. But, for now, that's purely conjecture. This story will be updated.
