The initiative aims to empower youth, harness their potential, and equip them with the latest artificial intelligence tools and technologies. It also seeks to develop future-ready skills that enable participants to apply AI across different sectors. Running from mid-July to mid-August 2025, the camp encourages young people to design innovative solutions to real-world challenges. It aims to foster progress in advanced technology fields. The UAE AI Summer Camp targets a wide range of participants. These include children, school and university students, youth, and AI and coding experts from various professional backgrounds. The programme offers a comprehensive educational experience covering seven key themes. These include: The future of artificial intelligence, data science, and machine learning Smart applications in education, healthcare, and finance Web development, robotics, AI ethics, cybersecurity, and virtual/augmented reality The camp features workshops, hackathons, challenges, interactive sessions, and lectures led by experts. Dr. Abdulrahman Al Mahmoud, Director at the Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications Office, stated that the camp reflects the UAE leadership's vision to prepare a knowledgeable generation. He added that this generation will be equipped to apply AI effectively across all areas of life. He noted the continued success and strong community engagement in the camp. This, he said, shows increasing awareness of the importance of advanced technologies and digital preparedness. Dr. Al Mahmoud also emphasized that the camp is part of a broader ecosystem of national initiatives. These initiatives support the development of a sustainable digital economy and strengthen the UAE's position as a global leader in future-focused sectors. The AI Summer Camp is held in collaboration with government and private sector entities, as well as global technology companies specializing in artificial intelligence and coding. The workshops cover various topics, including AI in the job market, AI-powered innovation, gaming labs, chatbots, AI culture, and applications in sustainability, water, agriculture, ocean science, and security. Over its six previous editions, the UAE AI Summer Camp has attracted more than 34,000 participants. These came from diverse educational and academic backgrounds. The programme continues to support skills development aligned with the latest technological advancements.

MBRSG Launches AI Ethics Assessment Programme to Advance Responsible Tech Use in UAE
The Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government has launched a new AI Ethics Assessment Programme, aimed at equipping professionals with the tools to evaluate and implement ethical AI systems. The initiative supports the UAE's push to become a global leader in artificial intelligence while ensuring responsible innovation. Developed in collaboration with the UAE's Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications Office, the programme features the IEEE CertifAIEd™ curriculum and will run from May 26 to 30, 2025, at the MBRSG headquarters in Dubai. Targeting professionals in strategy, compliance, data governance, technology, and innovation, the programme offers intensive training on AI ethics principles, transparency, accountability, privacy, and bias mitigation. Participants will also undergo practical sessions and an exam to qualify as CertifAIEd™ Assessors. Dr. Ali bin Sebaa Al Marri, Executive President of MBRSG, emphasized the importance of the initiative in shaping AI policies that balance innovation with ethical responsibility.
