MBRSG Launches AI Ethics Assessment Programme to Advance Responsible Tech Use in UAE
The Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government has launched a new AI Ethics Assessment Programme, aimed at equipping professionals with the tools to evaluate and implement ethical AI systems. The initiative supports the UAE's push to become a global leader in artificial intelligence while ensuring responsible innovation. Developed in collaboration with the UAE's Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications Office, the programme features the IEEE CertifAIEd™ curriculum and will run from May 26 to 30, 2025, at the MBRSG headquarters in Dubai. Targeting professionals in strategy, compliance, data governance, technology, and innovation, the programme offers intensive training on AI ethics principles, transparency, accountability, privacy, and bias mitigation. Participants will also undergo practical sessions and an exam to qualify as CertifAIEd™ Assessors. Dr. Ali bin Sebaa Al Marri, Executive President of MBRSG, emphasized the importance of the initiative in shaping AI policies that balance innovation with ethical responsibility. 'This reaffirms our commitment to developing national talent and supporting the UAE's vision of becoming a model in digital governance,' he said. Dubai to Host ‘Machines Can See 2025' AI Summit at Museum of the Future
As part of the inaugural Dubai AI Week, the highly anticipated third edition of the Machines Can See AI Summit will take place from April 23-24, 2025, at the Museum of the Future. Organised by Polynome Events under the patronage of H.H. Renowned AI experts, including Gerard Medioni (Amazon Prime Video & Studios), Dawn Song (UC Berkeley), Michael Bronstein (University of Oxford), and Marc Pollefeys (ETH Zurich), will provide insights on AI's evolving landscape. Additionally, a special discussion led by Mauro Martino (IBM Research) will explore AI's growing influence on artistic creativity and visual storytelling. UAE and Cyprus Forge AI and Digital Economy Partnership
