Over 400,000 hit in massive employee benefits data breach — Social Security numbers and more exposed

A firm that focuses on employee benefits enrollment, Kelly & Associates Insurance Group, Inc. (Kelly Benefits) sent a notice to clients to alert them that thousands of them had their data exposed in a cyberattack. As reported by CyberNews, the company has confirmed, both in the client notice as well as in a filing with the Maine Attorney General's office, that they noticed suspicious activity on March 3, 2025 and then confirmed though an internal investigation that a cyberattack had occurred and that threat actors had gained access to their network between December 12 and 17th 2024. Kelly Benefits stated that the hack included copying and taking of certain files, and that breached information included clients names, Social Security numbers and financial account information. According to the filing, 413,032 people have had their information breached and/or stolen, which leaves them at risk for identity theft, fraud and phishing attacks. Kelly Benefits has offered these individuals free credit monitoring and access to the best identity theft protection for 12 months, and advises clients to stay aware of their accounts to watch for unsolicited activities. If you've also been affected by a data breach like this – and let's be honest, these days many of us have – you want to take the company in question up on their offer for free services. Likewise, make sure that you are closely monitoring your accounts for any unusual or suspicious activities. You may also want to consider a credit freeze. Educate yourself on the signs of phishing attacks and make sure you never click on any unexpected links, attachments, files or QR codes from people you don't know. Be wary of people on social media who may reach out to you with offers or those who want you to download or click on files or attachments. If you don't already have any of the online protections offered by the best antivirus software, look into getting a VPN or hardened browser, as well as a password manager for added levels of security. Exclusive! It will be a love marriage for me, definitely, says Parth Samthaan

Returning to TV after a long time, actor , who was last seen on the show , says he doesn't want to stick to a project for too long. Parth, who has joined the cast of recently, talked about what compelled him to be back on TV, his future projects, especially in and his plans of getting married. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now Excerpts... Parth as ACP Ayushman in the show CID Parth as ACP Ayushman in the show CID Is it true that you are back on TV with CID, but the stint is for a very short duration? Abhi aisa toh kuch hai nahi. Had the stint been for just a week, I would not have been shooting for the show, which I am till now. I am back on after a long time, and it is going well so far. Picking one of the iconic shows on television, CID, is a great thing. The best part is that I don't need to sell myself or my new show to the audience as they are already very well aware of it. How has the experience been? Even though it is fiction, I still don't have to act-act in it with over-dramatization and emotions, as it requires me to be me. I realized this on the first few days of the shoot itself. And because of all this, initially mujhe bahot problem hui that I don't need to have attachments to any character, which I am used to in my other shows. It was a struggle for me to be straight-faced during the scenes for this show. Why have you stayed away from television all these years? All these years, I didn't want to do TV because I did not want to commit myself for such a long duration. I didn't want that because then that commitment didn't allow me to do anything else on my career front, like singles, and films. TV restricts you as an artiste for the longest period. Plus, according to me, it also gets you into the comfort zone and makes an artiste complacent ki haan ab yeh hi theek hai. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now With all due respect to the other actors who have been doing shows for several years, I, on the other hand, have become very lazy and want to explore something else. I feel like after some time in a show, I have shown all the possible shades, and now I am on a repetitive mode. Yes, staying on a show pays one well also, but that has not been my priority. Agar aisa hota toh Kasautii... ke saath saath mein bhi kar leta aur bhi kitne shows hain woh bhi kar leta. It all depends on artist to artist, but this is how I am. Drama is something that people have enjoyed over the years, especially the family drama on TV. They do not enjoy 'just' love stories on TV today. The love stories thing has shifted more to the OTT now. Earlier love stories used to do great on TV for years, because then there was no OTT. A lot of TV shows are getting wrapped up within months of launch. Being part of this industry, what do you think is happening? Mujhe khud bhi nahi pata ki yeh shows itni jaldi kyun band ho rahe hain. The day I left Kasautii... I barely kept myself updated about the medium. Maybe what I feel is that the broadcasters today do not have the patience to sit and see and let a story stretch for a minimum time for it to work. At the same time, the environment on the medium is fiercely competitive. Not only are we competing with other shows on the medium but different mediums itself. Plus, chemistry between the leads is needed to work, which I have done for most of my shows. If chemistry works between leads, shows click soon. Parth Samthaan What's else is happening on the career front? I have a film that will be releasing in September this year and a web series too. I am excited about this web series because it has a Marathi background, and a lot of people are not aware that I am myself a Marathi and can speak fluent Marathi. In fact, recently only I have met a few filmmakers in the Marathi cinema who were surprised to know that I am a Marathi and can speak the language fluently. I am looking forward to work there as it will be a fresh thing for my career and people will also get to see something new. Coming to your personal front, is marriage on the cards? Shaadi toh karni hi padegi jaldi as my family is pressurizing me to get married soon. Kisi tarah se main do-teen saal se taal raha hoon but now I will have to! I am not in a state to get married in an arranged setup, and therefore it will be a love marriage for me, definitely. Plus, I have always believed in love. I am just waiting for stability in my life. I have recently purchased a house, and I am busy with that. A lot of people I have met regret getting married in their late 40s. I don't want that, and I feel that somethings should happen at the right time.

Indian government warns public Wi-Fi users, advises avoiding these mistakes

In an effort to boost digital safety awareness, the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) has issued a fresh advisory cautioning citizens against performing sensitive transactions over public Wi-Fi networks. The reminder highlights the growing risks associated with unsecured internet connections in public spaces. While free Wi-Fi at airports, cafes, and shopping centres is often welcomed by travellers and commuters, CERT-In warns that these networks are prime targets for cybercriminals. Hackers can easily intercept data shared over unsecured connections, exposing users to serious risks such as identity theft, financial fraud, and unauthorised access to personal information on your laptop, Android phone or iPhone. The government advisory specifically advises against conducting banking transactions, online shopping, or entering sensitive personal details while connected to public Wi-Fi networks. Even seemingly harmless activities like checking emails or browsing social media accounts could potentially compromise private data. To help users protect themselves, CERT-In has outlined a set of best practices. Citizens are encouraged to avoid clicking on links or downloading attachments from unknown sources. It is also recommended to create long, unique passwords for different online accounts and to regularly back up important files to external storage devices. Additionally, CERT-In suggests the use of Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) when accessing the internet over public Wi-Fi. VPNs can encrypt internet traffic, offering an extra layer of security against potential cyber threats. Users are also advised to disable the autofill feature on browsers, which could otherwise expose saved passwords and personal information if a device is compromised. CERT-In's warning comes at a time when digital transactions and online activities are at an all-time high. The advisory forms part of a broader push to promote better digital hygiene amongst citizens, encouraging them to adopt safer online habits to protect their personal and financial information.

To curb such scams and enhance digital safety awareness, CERT-In has issued fresh reminders under its 'Jaagrookta Diwas' initiative, urging citizens to avoid conducting sensitive transactions over public Wi-Fi networks. Emphasising the rising threat of cyberattacks, the advisory underscores the need for practising safe online habits to safeguard personal data and devices. #Pahalgam Terrorist Attack India stares at a 'water bomb' threat as it freezes Indus Treaty India readies short, mid & long-term Indus River plans Shehbaz Sharif calls India's stand "worn-out narrative" What are best practises?
