ELAC Introduces Brand New ConneX DCB61 Powered Bookshelf Speakers
The new ConneX DCB61 powered bookshelf speakers are a self-contained solution.
Based on the foundations of the award-winning DCB41 speakers, ELAC has announced the launch of the new ConneX DCB61 powered speakers.
These bookshelf-sized speakers are larger and more powerful than the DCB41 and the company claims they bring 'high-end performance and everyday ease to the world of powered bookshelf speakers.'
At its core, each DCB61 speaker has a165mm polypropylene woofer backed up by a 60W amplifier. ELAC ... More says it provides a 'deep, punchy bass with clarity and control.'
These new speakers are a two-way active system that's been designed to be versatile and aims to blend refined audio engineering with plug-and-play simplicity in a master-satellite configuration.
The primary speaker contains dedicated Class D amplifiers powering each driver, which streamlined the setup while still delivering enough sound to fill a room.
At its core, each DCB61 speaker has a165mm polypropylene woofer backed up by a 60W amplifier. ELAC says it provides a 'deep, punchy bass with clarity and control.' The tweeter in the speaker is 19mm soft-dome design driven by a 20W amplifier and paired with a precision-engineered waveguide.
ELAC says the waveguide provides 'smooth sound with accurate high frequencies and wide dispersion, resulting in a rich and balanced soundstage across music, movies and more.'

The speaker has additional inputs include a built-in MM phono stage for vinyl turntables, USB-B for streaming hi-res music for PC and Mac with support for audio files up to 24-bit/96kHz An optical input can be used for gaming consoles or media players.
To display which input is active, the primary speaker has a front-facing LED source indicator that makes it easy to see which input is selected and the LED has an adjustable brightness level via the remote control or ELAC app.
