I was in a car crash right before my wedding — I don't remember the special day at all
I do…or did I? A woman got into a traumatic car accident before her wedding, which caused her to leave her special day with only a few scattered memories. 'She doesn't know it yet but after her final wedding dress fitting, a car will spin out on the highway, erasing her wedding day memories in an instant,' Kristen Parker, 34, captioned a TikTok video (@tandkaythespectrumway). It turns out that the bride-to-be was driving home from the final fitting of her wedding dress when a spinning car collided with hers on the highway. 'I remember thinking we missed the car and that everything is fine,' Parker, from Vancouver, Canada, told Newsweek. 'But I looked over and the whole right side of my car was busted up and mangled.' Kristen was taken to the hospital, where her neck and stomach were evaluated, and then sent home after she was cleared by medical professionals. 'The emergency doctor saw me and didn't take it seriously,' she told the outlet. 'They asked if I hit my head, and I said I didn't remember.' 'So they didn't check my brain,' she added. So, the next day, the woman attended her bachelorette party and continued as scheduled with her $50,000 wedding to her partner Troy and honeymoon — mostly due to all the money they spent. However, as Parker continued to show signs of memory loss and disorientation, she continued to insist that something was wrong. 'I've been gaslit by my medical team for almost a year-and-a-half,' she claimed, noting that she believes doctors may have dismissed her in part because of her autistic diagnosis. Eventually, the 34-year-old was diagnosed with a concussion, stroke, and brain atrophy. She's also lost the ability to sing due to throat blockages from the accident. Her symptoms not only made it hard to finalize her wedding planning, but she also barely remembered the joys of the special day. 'The morning of, there was literally no one setting up the wedding,' Kristen said. 'I didn't remember to get that going.' She got ready on her own, as her lovely bridesmaids jumped into action and set everything up — something a wedding planner normally would've done. Then they got on with the ceremony and festivities. 'Everything's kind of a blur,' Kristen said. 'I just knew I was marrying my man that day, and that was it.' Her memories of the special day remain limited, but fortunately, their videographer gave them all the raw footage that was captured. 'It was the first time seeing it,' she said. 'I don't remember my wedding, and that's why I post videos — just so I can try to look back on it.'

Bride-to-Be Goes Viral for Warning That Getting Married Past 28 Changes Bachelorette Party ‘Vibes' (Exclusive)
After taking part in three of her friends' bachelorette parties, Miriah Hadley had been eagerly awaiting her own However, in a recent TikTok video, the 29-year-old warned that getting married after 28 can seriously affect the 'vibe' of a bachelorette party Now, Hadley is making sure her celebration is something all of her friends can enjoy - no matter what phase in life they are inWhen it comes to weddings, timing can be everything – at least according to one woman who believes getting married past a certain age comes with unexpected downsides. Miriah Hadley, a 29-year-old from Dallas, Texas, is currently in the process of planning her own wedding, and took to TikTok to reflect on how much 'fun' her friends' bachelorette parties were a few years earlier. Back then, everyone was on the same page: no babies, no dietary restrictions, no 10 p.m. curfews. But now, with some friends pregnant, others already mothers, and a few living alcohol-free, Hadley is realizing that her own celebration will have to strike a different tone. 'I originally envisioned my bachelorette party in the wine country of Texas – something light and fun, where we'd hop between wineries, enjoy good wine, laugh a lot, and just celebrate together,' Hadley tells PEOPLE exclusively. 'It felt like the perfect mix of relaxation and celebration.' Since getting engaged in February 2025, the soon-to-be-bride is planning on having her bachelorette party in October, followed by her wedding on New Years Eve. Used to lively activities such as boat rides, loud music, nonstop dancing and drinks at previous bachelorette parties she's attended, Hadley was eagerly looking forward to her own girls' celebration. However, since most of her friends tied the knot between ages 25 and 28, her bachelorette will most likely look very different. 'One of the more challenging aspects of getting married past 28 – especially being from the South, where many of my peers are already married, settled down, and starting families – is feeling a bit out of sync with your social circle,' she explains. Most of Hadley's close friends have been married for a few years and are either starting to plan for a family or already have children, making late-night outings, casual drinks, or even regular meetups increasingly difficult to coordinate. Never miss a story — sign up for to stay up-to-date on the best of what PEOPLE has to offer, from celebrity news to compelling human interest stories. 'As things started coming together, I realized that about five out of my eight bridesmaids may not be able to drink either due to the fact that they will be pregnant or other personal reasons. And I'll be honest—it gave me a bit of a 'what's the point?' moment,' she admits. 'Not because I think alcohol is necessary for a good time, but because the original vision just doesn't align anymore.' Nevertheless, Hadley has chosen to take a positive approach to the situation. She's come to realize that the true purpose of a bachelorette party isn't about the event itself, but about being surrounded by friends who love and respect her. 'I'm grateful that I have amazing, lifelong friends that I know will show up and support me regardless,' she shares. 'I'm now shifting my mindset to focus on how we can still have a great experience that fits everyone. At the end of the day, it's about creating memories and celebrating love, not sticking to a script.' What she is most excited about is the energy – simply spending time with her friends, letting loose, dancing, and creating those "remember when" moments they'll laugh about for years to come. Hadley intends to keep the bachelorette party fun and inclusive by planning a mix of shared experiences like a private chef dinner, a playful lingerie party, and a relaxing spa day. She's also considering sticking with the original wine tour by choosing wineries that offer mocktails and non-alcoholic options so no one feels left out. 'It's not about comparison or regret, but it does require a shift in how you manage friendships and find community,' Hadley tells PEOPLE. 'At the same time, I've learned to really value this season for what it offers – new beginnings, clarity, and learning how to support friends in different phases of life.' Demi Lovato shares photos from her Las Vegas bachelorette party
Newlywed Demi Lovato shared photos from her epic 'bach party' in Las Vegas. The photos included shots of Demi, 32, and her friends boarding a private jet, partying it up in Sin City, and several glam shots of the singer. In the private jet photo, silver balloons above the plane read 'Lucky In Love'. Demi tied the knot with Jordan 'Jutes' Lutes on Sunday, May 25, in California, and this weekend, she shared the snaps from her bachelorette party. She captioned the post: 'Bach party day/night one (not nearly enough pictures were taken):' Her new husband, 34, also commented on the post: 'Ya right ur my wife.' Demi included a couple of photos of her friends on the plane, posing with several cardboard cutouts of Lutes' face. She wore a white silk dress with feather detailing in the snaps, which included a group shot with some drag queens. Demi and Jutes married at the Bellosguardo Foundation (Clark Estate) in Santa Barbara on Memorial Day weekend. 'The wedding setting was pure magic - an oceanfront estate with sweeping views of the coastline,' a source told People. Another source told the outlet Demi has 'never been happier' after marrying Lutes, explaining: 'She truly loves Jordan. He's amazing to her.' And while the couple's wedding ceremony was mostly traditional, they did include one quirky moment. Instead of following the norm of having the groom recite his vows first, the couple played rock, paper, scissors to decide who would go first. Demi wore a dress from Vivienne Westwood for both the main ceremony as well as the reception, per photos obtained by Vogue. The gown was made of a fitted corset bodice as well as a silk satin material. When it came to the dress, the singer gushed to Vogue that she has 'been a fan of Vivienne Westwood's designs for a long time'. She said: 'When I was thinking about [what dress style I wanted] I often found myself coming back to Vivienne's designs - specifically how the silhouettes really compliment the curves in your body, and her use of corsets.'
