JetBlue Has New Routes to Beach Destinations in the Caribbean, Florida, and Latin America—With Fares From $49
JetBlue will launch new routes to Florida and several popular Caribbean islands in time for winter, making a beach getaway to escape the cold a lot easier. Starting in December, the airline will launch new flights to Florida's Vero Beach for the first time as well as return service to Daytona Beach and launch new flights from Florida to the Dominican Republic, according to JetBlue. Best of all, the airline is celebrating its new routes with discounted fares starting at just $49. 'Whether it's customers in the Northeast looking for a warm getaway or Floridians traveling north, we're excited to bring more choices and better service to these markets,' Dave Jehn, JetBlue's vice president of network planning and airline partnerships, said in a statement, adding the airline is "proud to grow our footprint with these new destinations to meet customer demand for more of the Sunshine State." Snowbirds looking to exchange the cold Northeast winter for the sunny beaches of Florida will have new options thanks JetBlue's first foray into the Vero Beach Regional Airport (VRB) with daily, year-round service from both Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) and New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) starting Dec. 11. The airline will also plan to return to the Daytona Beach International Airport (DAB) with daily, year-round flights from New York and Boston starting Dec. 4. In addition, JetBlue will add service to both the Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) in Fort Myers and the Tampa International Airport (TPA) from New York's Long Island MacArthur Airport (ISP). Those flights will start Dec. 18 and Dec. 19, respectively. These flights will compliment the carrier's current service between Long Island and Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, and West Palm Beach. To celebrate, JetBlue is offering the new routes at low prices. Flights between Long Island and Tampa, for example, start at just $49 one-way. Travelers looking to head even further south can take advantage of JetBlue's new flights to the Dominican Republic. On Dec. 13, the airline will launch daily service from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) to Cibao International Airport (STI) in Santiago de los Caballeros, followed by daily service between Tampa and Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ) on Dec. 18. Beyond new flights, JetBlue is also planning on expanding service from Boston to Latin America and the Caribbean. The carrier will start offering daily flights on Dec. 18 to St. Thomas, Costa Rica's Liberia, St. Maarten, and Nassau in the Bahamas. JetBlue will then add a second Saturday flight to Grand Cayman in the Cayman Islands on Dec. 20 along with an additional Saturday flight to Bridgetown, Barbados, starting Jan. 10, 2026. JetBlue said the routes build on the carrier's "strength as Boston's premier leisure airline and offer more nonstop options to warm-weather destinations, meeting strong demand for international getaways." The news comes weeks after JetBlue linked loyalty programs with United Airlines. The collaboration, which the airlines called Blue Sky, will allow travelers to book award flights on each carrier.

This Resort Was Named the Best in Miami Beach—and It Has an Adults-only Pool, a Champagne Bar, and Dreamy Views
When it comes to domestic beach getaways, Miami simply has it all: seven miles of public sandy shores, a thriving nightlife scene, a vibrant, diverse culinary scene, and, of course, luxury beachfront resorts galore. With dozens of great hotels to choose from, the options can feel overwhelming. But, according to Travel + Leisure readers, the stays that stand out from the rest have impeccable service and luxurious facilities that offer guests a peaceful respite from the city's high energy. How Voting Works Every year for our World's Best Awards survey, T+L asks readers to weigh in on travel experiences around the globe—to share their opinions on the top hotels, resorts, cities, islands, cruise ships, spas, airlines, and more. Nearly 180,000 T+L readers completed the 2025 survey. A total of more than 657,000 votes were cast across over 8,700 properties (hotels, cities, cruise lines, etc.). Hotels were classified as either resort hotel, city hotel, inn, or safari lodge based on their location and amenities, and they were specifically rated on the criteria below: Rooms/facilities Location Service Food Value For each characteristic, respondents could choose a rating of excellent, above average, average, below average, or poor. The final scores are averages of these responses. One of three pools at the Four Seasons Hotel at The Surf Club. Sofi Perazzo What Readers Loved This year's is full of familiar names, including two longtime World's Best Awards honorees, Faena Hotel Miami Beach (No. 2), known for its eclectic design and live cabaret performances, and The Setai (No. 3), which one reader described as '… managed better than any hotel I have ever experienced." The Standard (No. 10) impressed readers with its stunning spa that offers unique wellness treatments, from acupuncture facial rejuvenation to astrology sessions. 'You absolutely cannot go wrong when staying at The Standard,' gushed one voter, who then called the hotel a 'little slice of relaxation paradise on Miami Beach.' Acqualina Resort & Residences (No. 4), a Mediterranean-inspired beachside escape in Miami's Sunny Isles Beach neighborhood, stood out from the rest because of its high attention to detail. "This hotel never fails to deliver,' one reader said. 'It is shocking how they can be so on point year after year. Most hotels decline after several years, but this place only gets better.' Keep reading to see which property made this year's No. 1 spot—and how they stole the spotlight. The Winner Four Seasons Hotel at the Surf Club A guest room with Atlantic Ocean views at Four Seasons Hotel at the Surf Club. Sofi Perazzo The building that now houses the Four Seasons Hotel at the Surf Club originally opened its doors in 1930 as a social club and welcomed the likes of celebrities such as Elizabeth Taylor and Winston Churchill. Nearly nine decades later, the property has been transformed into its current incarnation— and according to our readers, it's the No. 1 resort in Miami Beach. Located in Surfside, a posh uptown Miami beach community, the hotel jumped from its No. 3 spot on last year's list to get the gold, finally surpassing some of its fiercest South Beach competitors. Highlights of this property include oceanview suites, three large pools (one is adults-only), and a gorgeous Champagne bar that pays homage to the glamor of the club's early years. Readers also loved its attentive staff and prime beachfront location near some of the best shopping and restaurants in the area. When picking which hotels to include, they consider their own experience staying in the hotels and evaluate location, facilities, service and all the other details that make for an exceptional stay for all types of traveller. FAQs What is the best month to travel to Cancun? With a privileged Caribbean location, Cancun has an average temperature of 80°C year-round. The winter season (between December and April) is the most popular, with snowbirds escaping the cold and locals making the most of Christmas and Easter breaks. Summer brings another peak – as well as higher temperatures and humidity. While the rainy season (between June and November) brings showers and humidity, it also means there are smaller crowds and lower prices. What currency do I need? It's always a good idea to have a few hundred Mexican pesos in cash – especially if you're buying snacks or small souvenirs – but you can essentially operate in US Dollars. Is Cancun cheap or expensive? As one of Mexico's most popular destinations, Cancun caters to a wide audience, both domestic and international, and its price range reflects it. You can find excellent deals – especially at all-inclusive resorts – go super high-end at luxury resorts, and everything in between. Seasonality affects prices, so plan ahead and keep your eyes open for shoulder-season deals. What is Cancun famous for? Miles of sandy beaches bathed by turquoise seas make Cancun one of the most beloved destinations by Mexican and foreign travellers alike. Its varied hotel selection makes it as appealing for groups of friends and families as it is for couples. Cancun's location makes it the perfect starting point to explore wonders like Maya archaeological sites, cenotes, and nearby destinations like Isla Mujeres and Tulum. Its nightlife and culinary offerings also make it a favourite among those who love the good life.
