Paddy Power stung by genius punter's £10 EFL Cup bet that pockets nearly £200,000
IT'S only the second week of August but already we have a contender for bet of the season.
A genius punter has hit Paddy Power for nearly £200,000 with what can only be described as a sensational 18-fold bet last night.

And you could say the Essex-based punter didn't cut corners in the process, having not needed a match result or even any goals for it to land.
That's because the 19,000/1+ punt was purely based on match corners across the first round of the Carabao Cup on Tuesday.
All 18 fixtures picked in the monster £10 acca came from the cup action and all were selected to have over 9.5 corners in them.
Down to research and skill? A bit of luck? Maybe both?
The nameless, 32-year-old bettor likely doesn't care how it landed after watching all 18 sail in to land the monster payout.
Keeping tabs on that sort of bet in real-time would've taken more skill than anything.
Amongst the games selected was Accrington vs Peterborough, Blackpool's latest defeat against Port Vale and Cardiff vs Swindon.
The exciting tie between Wrexham and Hull - which the Hollywood side prevailed on penalties in after a 3-3 draw - was also on there, alongside the shock of the round when Bromley dumped out Ipswich via the same route.
With all 18 selections landing, the punter stunned the bookmakers and their £10 stake returned an astonishing £197,945.
