Screenwriter Discusses Rush To Bring Prime Video's The Elevator Boys Movie to Life — Seriencamp
Going up… ideas for the upcoming movie with The Elevator Boys for Prime Video needed to come together fast. The film with the German social media stars turned boy band is now in production. Juliana Lima Dehne, who wrote the screenplay, told a Seriencamp crowd she had only days to turn around the original ideas for the story. Lima Dehne was speaking at a session about European writers' rooms at the Seriencamp confab in Cologne, Germany, and gave the backstory. Chu & Sydney Sweeney 'When Amazon [and the producers] asked me to work on this and come up with ideas to pitch, because they had a deal with The Elevator Boys, I said okay, that's great. They said: We want at least five ideas, completely separate from each other, and because of the time, and because they are travelling the world, we need to present them next week.' Lima Dehne, whose credits include hit German series Maxton Hall, said that given the tight turnaround, she quickly put together a mini writers' room to brainstorm ideas. The as-yet-untitled movie will follow a fictional group played by the real-life German boy band, whose members are: Bene Schulz, Jacob Rott, Julien Brown, Luis Freitag, and Tim Schaecker. 'I brought in two writers whom I adore and I work really well with, and we were just viewing ideas for these five pitches so that The Elevator Boys, ultimately, could pick one to develop into a movie,' Lima Dehne explained. The elevator pitch evidently worked. Cameras rolled on the pic in March with filming in Malta and elsewhere in Europe. W&B Television, the prolific German producer that is part of Leonine Studios is making the film, in association with Amazon MGM Studios Germany for Prime Video. Prime Video is on a tear with younger-skewing drama. Add in the huge following The Elevator Boys have on social and hopes are high for their movie. F4 from Meteor Garden series to reunite for a concert in 2026
TAIWAN: As reported by CNA via Taiwan's media outlet Mirror Media, the boy group F4 from Taiwanese drama Meteor Garden is said to reunite and perform in 2026 for the first time since 2013. Photo: Instagram/F4 Back in 2001, the romance drama called Meteor Garden completely stole everyone's hearts. It tells the story of a sweet, ordinary teenage girl named Shancai, brought to life by the late Barbie Hsu, who suddenly finds herself attending a super fancy, exclusive school. So, in that drama, there's this fictional 'it' crowd, the F4, and in it, you've got F4, who are essentially the kings of this super-posh school. They're loaded and totally influential, and they pretty much run the place. The group itself is made up of Daoming Si, played by Jerry Yan; the more brooding Huaze Lei, brought to life by Vic Chou; the charming Meizuo, played by Vanness Wu; and the smooth Ximen, portrayed by Ken Chu. These four pretty much run the show at school! See also Son Ye Jin and Lee Tae Hwan in talks to appear in new JTBC drama Massive hit across Asia After their TV show became a massive hit across Asia, those four actors didn't just fade away! Nope, they actually kept performing together as a real-life boy band, sticking with the name F4. Even after officially going their separate ways in 2009, they gave fans a huge treat in 2013 by reuniting to perform their famous song 'Meteor Shower' at the Jiangsu TV Spring Festival Gala. Even after going their separate ways, the F4 guys have been pretty busy carving out their own paths! Making waves Vanness Wu has been making waves in the music scene, having released his first full-length English album in 2022 and appeared on various variety shows. Meanwhile, Vic Chou has continued his acting career, most recently starring in the highly anticipated drama The World Between Us 2 , which is set to hit screens this November. As for Ken Chu, he's taken a more modern approach, diving into live streaming to sell products online. And Jerry Yan? He's back on our screens, too, having returned to acting with the drama The Forbidden Flower in 2023. See also K-pop group Girls' Generation reunites Tragically, earlier this year, in February, we lost Barbie Hsu, the actress who played the beloved lead, Shancai, in Meteor Garden . She was only 48. It sounds like she'd been on a trip to Japan with her family, and sadly, she contracted influenza, which developed into pneumonia, and she passed away from that. According to Mirror Media, the music firm B'in Music has been preparing to bring together former well-known boy bands one by one, with F4 at the top of their list. Reuniting back together Getting the F4 guys back together after all this time was apparently a real headache! For starters, they were all signed to different management companies, which, as you can imagine, makes coordinating anything a nightmare. Additionally, there were even whispers back then that their personalities didn't quite mesh, which may have contributed to their split in the first place. However, here's where it gets interesting: It seems like the recent comeback of another Taiwanese boy band, Energy (who broke up 15 years ago but reunited in 2024 under B'in Music), really lit a fire under F4. According to Mirror Media, seeing Energy's successful return might have been the big push F4 needed to decide, 'Hey, let's do this finally! Let's get back on stage together and celebrate 25 years since we first started!' It's like seeing their peers do it gave them the courage to overcome their own hurdles. Five perform live for the FIRST time in 25 years as they surprise fans at Robbie Williams' stadium gig in London
Five sent fans into frenzy as they made a surprise appearance during Robbie Williams ' stadium gig in London on Friday night. Marking the band's first live performance in 25 years, the iconic Noughties boyband, made up of Sean Conlon, Ritchie Neville, Scott Robinson, Abz Love and Jason Brown, brought a vibrant energy to the Emirates Stadium. The English group, who originally formed in 1997, joined Robbie, 51, while singing their hit Keep On Movin amid his mammoth UK BRITPOP stadium tour. The jaw-dropping moment marked the very first time Five has performed together with all five members in 25 years, with a reaction that was nothing short of electric. As the hit song began, echoes were heard in the stadium, with Robbie doing a perfect rendition of the track, before joked that he didn't really know the second verse and asked if anyone could help him. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the Daily Mail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. As the crowd erupted, Abz Love, J, Ritchie, Scott and Sean walked out on stage, stepping into the spotlight together for the first time in a quarter-century for a poignant performance of their signature hit with fans singing along to every word. Uniting pop history and transporting fans straight back to peak boyband mania - it's also the first time Five and Robbie have ever performed together. Five said of their experience: 'Wow, what an honour to be asked by Robbie Williams to join him on stage at his London stadium show. 'Rob has been such a big supporter of ours, from the early days through to the comeback, so when he reached out to ask whether we'd come out on stage for his performance of Keep On Movin', it was the EASIEST yes. 'To get to share that moment with Robbie in front of 60k people was crazy… definitely a version of Keep On Movin' we'll never forget.'' The surprise performance comes ahead of Five's highly-anticipated 25-date 'KEEP ON MOVIN' Tour, which will kick off this October. Recently speaking to MailOnline, the group couldn't help but bicker as they revealed the correct way to spell their name. Five - who went on to sell more than 20 million records worldwide before they split in 2001 - have widely been known as 5ive. Five recently broke out into a row during an exclusive chat with MailOnline as they cleared up a 'silly' myth about the band that's plagued them for 26 years Fans of the band have been referring to them as such for decades, and even the group's Wikipedia page states the name is 'stylised as 5ive'. So last week, fans were left in shock when the group filmed a TikTok video captioned: 'when people call us 5ive instead of Five', showing them kicking bottles and hitting the wall in frustration. Such is the passionate defence that their name has been misstyled that when asked by MailOnline why they decided to 'drop the 5' from their name, Richie immediately exclaimed: 'We didn't!' Revealing they had never spelled their name that way, Scott explained that the trend started when they released their Slam Dunk (Da Funk) music video 26 years ago. He shared: 'In the video there is a 5 but it was never on one of our albums! it's wrong on Spotify, because it's got the 5. We are called F, I, V, E.' Admitting it had been a cause of contention between the group, Sean then said: 'I can't understand - now I know I'm gonna get a lot of backlash - you're going to attack me - I don't get what's so upsetting about it.' The group then immediately started bickering as J bellowed: 'I don't like it!' Scott added: 'It looks silly. Like 5Five. we're not called 5Five, we're called Five, please, please!' Slam Dunk (Da Funk) was Five's debut single and went on to hit number 10 on the UK Singles Chart. Charting in over 20 countries, Five are the only UK act to hit the Top 10 with all of their 11 singles, including three No 1s

Nineties boyband star unrecognizable as he's spotted in LA – can you guess who he is?
A NINETIES boyband star was spotted in LA looking unrecognizable from his hey day. The singer, 48, cut a casual figure as he stepped out with long hair and a beard - but can you guess who it is? 5 5 5 Did you recognize it was JC Chasez from the legendary boyband NSYNC? The HUGE group were known for songs like Bye Bye Bye and Tearin' up my heart. Stepping out in LA, JC, now 48, looked totally different to when he first shot to fame as part of NSYNC in the 90s. The singer, whose real name is Joshua Scott Chasez, was seen picking up food near the Los Feliz neighborhood. JC was dressed causally in a pair of khaki pants and a short-sleeved white shirt. He completed his look with a baseball cap, shades and comfy slip-on shoes. JC looked a far cry from his boyband days where his hair was short and spikey, and he was clean shaven. Instead, his hair is now much longer and he has a beard that was speckled with grey. Justin Timberlake and NSYNC are 'in active talks' to perform a 'comeback show' that will air on streaming network FINDING FAME Before being part of one the most iconic boybands ever, JC starred on The All New Mickey Mouse Club. NYSNC - which consists of Chris Kirkpatrick, Justin Timberlake, Joey Fatone, Lance Bass, and JC - formed in 1995, but split in 2002. Justin Timberlake and NSYNC are 'in active talks' to perform a 'comeback show' that will air on streaming network Ten years later they briefly reunited at the 2013 MTV VMAs. The band then thrilled fans when they reunited for the single Better Place for Trolls Band Together. Some of their best songs include I Want You Back, and It's Gonna Be Me. REUNION TALK Asked in 2021 about the prospect of an NSYNC reunion, while promoting his movie Palmer, Justin said: 'I don't have a crystal ball for what will happen with the music industry in the months, or years, to come. 'That's something that weighs on my mind in a heavy way. 'We will have to see what happens in terms of live music and I appreciate the question, but my focus right now is on Palmer.'

Boyband star shares major health update from his hospital bed as he reveals he is undergoing chemotherapy
Boyband star Andy Brown has revealed he is undergoing chemotherapy as he shared a picture from his hospital bed. The Lawson frontman, 38, told fans in a candid Instagram post that he needs a stem cell transplant after living with a rare blood disorder for a decade. Andy said there is a 'very high' chance he could develop leukaemia - a type of blood cancer - if he does not receive the transplant. In a post shared last week, Andy revealed that he has successfully found a donor and has been undergoing chemotherapy ahead of the transplant. Sharing a black and white snap from his hospital bed, Andy wrote: 'Day 4 of chemo done ✅ It's stepped up big time the last couple of days, not feeling the best at the moment, but there's just no way round it. Three more days to go, then the new stem cells go in next Tuesday! 'Staying positive as much as I can, but I won't pretend it's easy. I've spent years being so mindful of what I put into my body, ten years sober, clean eating, all of it. So feeling what this chemo is doing hits hard. But I know it's part of the fight. It's about accepting it, getting through it, and coming back stronger. 'Also… can we talk about hospital food? The food here is challenging, to say the least. Hospitals are meant to heal us, but what they're serving up feels like the opposite, there's zero nutritional value in this food. 'I know the NHS is under massive pressure, and this isn't on the amazing staff looking after us. But food is fuel, and it matters. When I'm through this, I'm going to try and do something about it. Maybe I can get @jamieoliver on board!' He added: 'Anyway, next week is when the real battle begins. That's when the transplant happens, and my body starts the process of rebuilding from scratch. It's a second chance at life, and not everyone gets that opportunity. 'Stem cell donors are hard to find. You could literally be the match that saves a little girl's life, a dad's life, someone's world. 'If you're healthy and able, please consider signing up to the register. It takes minutes, but it can change everything for someone like me. This is just another chapter. Nothing is gonna stop me.' Announcing his 10-year long health battle earlier this month, the father-of-two said: 'Morning! I just wanted to jump on here and give you a little update on what's been going on with me lately. I've always found it hard sharing personal info on instagram, but this feels like a big one, and if it helps even one person, then it's worth it! 'For the past 10 years, I've been living with a rare blood disorder. Up to now, it hadn't massively affected my day to day life, apart from frequent blood tests and the occasional infection, but as things stand, if it's not treated, I have a very high chance of developing Leukemia. 'I've been under close supervision at King's College Hospital in London, which has one of the country's leading hematology departments. And after a lot of discussions, we've come to the decision that the best way to prevent leukemia is for me to have a stem cell transplant.' The Lawson frontman, 38, told fans in a candid Instagram post that he needs a stem cell transplant after living with a rare blood disorder for a decade He continued: 'I have a 100% matching donor. I find it so overwhelming that a total stranger, someone I've never met, is willing to give up their cells and blood to save my life. That's just incredible. With everything awful going on in the world, it's easy to lose faith in people, but then you see things like this, people willing to do something so selfless, and it restores your hope. 'Not everyone is lucky enough to find a match though. That's why I really want to spread awareness about stem cell donation. If more people sign up to the donor register, more lives can be saved, literally. Please check out @anthonynolancharity for the amazing work they do. 'If you've followed me for a while, you'll know I've had a few health scares in my life. I don't take any of my second chances for granted. The road ahead won't be easy, recovery is going to take time, and I'm sure there'll be tough moments, but I'm staying as positive as I can. I'm beyond grateful to have this opportunity and a real shot at a full recovery. 'I'll keep you all updated as I go through this, and if you're interested in the process or have been affected by something similar, please feel free to message me or comment below. Have an amazing week, Andy x.' Andy revealed he named Lawson after David Lawson, consultant neurosurgeon at The Walton Centre for Neurology and Neurosurgery in Liverpool, because: 'Without him, I wouldn't be here.' Six years ago, Andy was diagnosed with an acoustic neuroma – a non-cancerous brain tumour which grows on the nerve in the inner ear. He underwent 17 hours of surgery to have the growth, the size of a ping-pong ball, removed. The operation left him temporarily paralysed. But he has since made a full recovery, bar some hearing loss, and his band has gone on to achieve three top ten singles. The first sign that something was wrong came when Andy suddenly lost his hearing in his right ear. 'I was on the phone to a friend, and it was as if someone stuck their finger in my ear,' he says. 'It went back to normal but the same thing happened the next day. 'I was on the phone and, bang, my hearing went and it never came back.' Other symptoms followed including dizziness, loss of balance and constant nausea. Andy's mother Bernice, an NHS nurse, insisted he was sent to a specialist. The ear, nose and throat specialist sent Andy for an MRI scan which revealed the tumour on his acoustic nerve. One person in 100,000 will be diagnosed with an acoustic neuroma each year. Symptoms include hearing loss, dizziness and tinnitus and patients are most commonly diagnosed in their 40s or 50s.
