He's going to have to go on the bike for a period and then he's got to be able to go jogging etc."Morrison began his career with Cambridge and is now in his second spell at the club, having rejoined them from Portsmouth in January 2023."We're hoping with a few more days' rest, he'll be able to be back full-time in the building next week and we can start building him up," added Harris."It could have been a hell of a lot worse. We're looking at losing the captain for a few weeks but when he walked off that pitch and I saw him with blood dripping out of his mouth, that was a horrible sight."Cambridge are away to Bristol Rovers in League Two on Saturday.

Cambridge United captain Michael Morrison has been discharged from hospital after suffering a bruised lung during Saturday's 1-1 draw with Harrogate had to go off in the 39th minute of the game following a collision with U's goalkeeper Jake Eastwood."He has now been discharged from Addenbrookes and will begin his road to recovery. It's too early to speculate on when he will return to play," the club posted on X."Morro wants to thank everyone for the messages and well wishes - he hopes to be back with the team soon."The 37-year-old began his career with Cambridge and is now in his second spell at the Cledara Abbey Stadium, having been re-signed from Portsmouth in January after the game against Harrogate, manager Neil Harris told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire: "It was just a collision, he felt his ribs a little bit and a little bit short of breath so we just have to make sure he gets X-rayed and we'll see where he is."Cambridge return to action on Tuesday with an away game against Colchester United, having taken four points from their first three games following last season's relegation.
