Citizen arrested for stealing OMR 40,000 in valuables from family home
Muscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP) has arrested a person for stealing a sum of money, jewellery, and gold ornaments valued at more than OMR 40,000 from his family's home in the Wilayat of Saham, North Al Batinah Governorate. According to ROP, North Al Batinah Police Command arrested a citizen for stealing a sum of money, jewelry, and gold ornaments valued at more than OMR 40,000 from his family's home in the Wilayat of Saham. Legal procedures are being completed against him.

Police Aviation transfers body of citizen who died in Thumrait collision
Muscat: Police Aviation carried out a mission to transfer the body of a citizen from Sultan Qaboos Hospital in Salalah to the Wilayat of Liwa in North Al Batinah Governorate. The individual tragically lost his life in a two-vehicle collision that occurred on Saturday in the Wilayat of Thumrait.

Citizen convicted for hunting protected Arabian Ibex in Oman
Muscat: The Environment Authority has announced a judicial ruling against a citizen convicted of illegally hunting the Arabian Ibex, a protected species native to the region. Following the trial, the Ibri Court of Appeal sentenced the individual to imprisonment, imposed a financial penalty, and mandated that he cover all legal expenses incurred during the case. The Environment Authority issued a public call urging citizens and residents to respect and preserve Oman's natural heritage. They emphasised that disturbing wildlife or damaging the environment can result in legal accountability.

One arrested for running over citizen in Dhofar
Muscat: A citizen was arrested in a hit-and-run case for running over another citizen and leading to his death in Dhofar Governorate. The Royal Oman Police (ROP), said in a statement :"Dhofar Governorate Police Command arrested a citizen for running over another citizen with his vehicle and fleeing the scene, resulting in the victim's death. Legal proceedings are underway against him."
