Charges laid; stolen vehicle recovered in Windsor
A man has been charged after Windsor police recovered a stolen vehicle in the city.
On July 16, police launched an investigation after a stolen vehicle was found near Parent Avenue and Ellis Street East in Windsor. When police took a closer look, they found the license plate on the back of the vehicle was cloned.
Officers said they searched the vehicle, which was empty, and found various stolen financial and personal documents belonging to multiple people.
An investigation ensued and a 33-year-old suspect was identified.
Just after 1:30 p.m. on Monday, the suspect was found and arrested near Louis Avenue and Riverside Drive East.
