"Thanks for your love and understanding. Rob." Reacting to Rod's announcement and health update, fans were largely supportive of the rocker. health comes first." Another said: "Get well Sir Rod! That's most important.." "Take care of yourself and rest easy. The fans and music will still be there when you're well," wrote a third. Though supportive and concerned, some fans were also disappointed because of the cancelled gig. "Oh no!!!!!! This is the 2nd time I've purchased tickets to see you in Vegas and both shows cancelled cause of not feeling well. I guess not meant to be……" said one. A second wrote: "Sorry you were sick. But this was hard. We can't come back. Have to be in LA. Our 51st anniversary. And our friends 1st anniversary. Soooo sad!!" And a third penned: "Sorry your ill Rod, but mightily disappointed as travelled from the UK to see you." This comes just mere days after Rod was forced to cancel more of his Las Vegas shows. Taking to social media at the start of the week, the Maggie May singer wrote: "I am sorry to inform you that I'm not feeling well and my show tonight at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace is being rescheduled to June 10. "Your tickets will be valid for the new date. Sir Rod." Sir Rod has performance and gig dates lined up all over the world this year. Later this month he is due to take on the Legends slot at Glastonbury. He recently revealed he fears he will die if he gives up touring. He said: "I enjoy going out on tour now more than I've ever done at this ripe old age of 80. "I'm doing seven concerts in Vegas and then I am everywhere around the world. "I'm playing Athens, Germany, three nights in Buenos Aires, two nights in Rio, it goes on and on and on. "It keeps me fit. You have got to be fit to do it. "I would probably die if I didn't do it. I have seen so many guys that have to give up their career and retire and they have got nothing to wake up in the morning for. "I don't know what they do with themselves. "They must get up and go 'What do I do today? Down the betting shop? Have a drink?' I don't know." 4

Kanye West concert in South Korea cancelled over 'controversies'

SEOUL, May 19 (Reuters) - South Korean e-commerce company Coupang (CPNG.N), opens new tab has cancelled a Kanye West concert scheduled for late May "due to recent controversies involving the artist", the company and a ticket vendor said on Monday. Coupang and the Interpark ticket outlet did not elaborate on the controversies involving West, who is now known as Ye. The U.S. rapper's latest controversy involves a song released this month entitled "Heil Hitler," which praises the Nazi leader and architect of the Holocaust. The sportswear company Adidas ended their shoe collaboration with West in October 2022 over a series of antisemitic rants and sold the last pair of his Yeezy branded shoes in March. Coupang and Interpark said all the tickets that had been sold for the single show in Incheon on May 31 would be fully refunded. Coupang, whose streaming service, Coupang Play, was organising the concert, also suspended the sale of merchandise by West's Yeezy fashion line on Monday, it said.
