Kenyan Inflation Remains Below 5% for Longest Run in 15 Years
Kenyan annual inflation remained below the 5% midpoint of the central bank's target range for a 12th straight month, the longest stretch since at least 2010, strengthening the case for another interest-rate cut. Consumer prices rose 3.8% in May, compared with 4.1% in April, the Nairobi-based Kenya National Bureau of Statistics said Friday in a statement. Core inflation accelerated to 2.8%, compared with 2.5% in April.

Inflation drops to 1.7% in April, driven by carbon tax removal
Canada's inflation rate eased to 1.7 per cent in April, driven by a drop in prices after the federal government removed the consumer carbon tax, according to Statistics Canada. However, core inflation measures — which exclude volatile goods such as gas — all rose in April, some above three per cent.

Czech Central Bank Says Services Costs Call for Cautious Policy
Czech costs of services remain a key risk for price stability and require a cautious monetary-policy stance, according to the central bank. Data published on Tuesday showed that core inflation, a measure of underlying demand pressures in the domestic economy, accelerated slightly in April to 2.6%, matching the Czech National Bank's forecast. That contrasts with the headline growth in consumer prices, which was the slowest in seven years and dropped below the 2% target last month.
