Newly-engaged Emily Atack enjoys romantic getaway with fiancé Alistair Garner as the pair share a kiss while soaking up the sun in France
Newly engaged Emily Atack and her fiancé Alistair Garber have been enjoying a romantic getaway at the Midi-Pyrenees in France. And the actress, 35, who announced the hunk had popped the question on Friday, seems to be staying on cloud nine as she and Alistair continued to share a slew of snaps of their recent days away. In one image The Rivals star could be seen in fits of giggles as she sat next to her man, as the two shared a drink. Emily looked gorgeous in a denim dress, which she styled with a red patterned bandana that she wore in her hair. She accessorised with some funky bracelets and oversized sunglasses. In another snap, the actress was unable to wipe the smile off her face, as she beamed for the camera next to a pal, whilst flashing the diamond on her wedding finger. Emily looked relaxed as she went makeup free and showed off her sun kissed skin and wore her hair in a salty wet look, presumably from the pool. The couple, who welcomed son Barney in June 2024, looked happier than ever as a video on the carousel, showed the two of them blissfully unaware that anybody was watching and planting a huge kiss on each others lips. Emily who seemed to be laying the table, became distracted by the shirtless Alistair when the hunk planted a smooch on her. Another image showed the mum-of-one donning a white mini dress and brown sandals, looking ecstatic as she danced around the garden, her arms up in the air. In a final stunning shot, Emily opted for a floral maxi dress and wore a huge straw woven tote bag over her shoulder. She pinned her blonde locks into a low ponytail and looked out onto the stunning green landscape. Loving every moment of her rustic getaway, Emily gushed: 'I love you, I'm glad I exist' followed by a peach emoji. The actress has known Alistair for almost three decades as her mother is the sister of Alistair's stepmother Jane Garner. They were introduced after Emily's aunt started dating Alistair's father Stephen Garner in the early nighties before they got married in 1994. Writing in her 2019 autobiography Are We There Yet?, Emily gave clues as to why she's ended up in a relationship with Alistair, 38, because her cousins 'understand each other on a deep level.' She says: 'Cousins are the best invention since the Game Boy. They are basically 50 per cent sibling, 50 per cent mate. You look the same but different... 'You understand each other on a deep, deep, level and you have a smidgen more social etiquette towards them than your brother or sister... 'It makes me sad for my friends who don't have that relationship with their cousins, because mine were the best friends I ever had. They are still my best friends to this day.' Emily rarely comments on her private life but has now admitted that she feels as if she has 'won the lottery' with the little one, and added that she couldn't have gone through the 'difficult labour' with anyone but her partner. She told HELLO! magazine last year: 'I couldn't ask for a better partner and Al is the only person on this earth that I could have done this with. 'It was a very difficult birth and after 12 hours of labour I ended up having an emergency caesarean, but he was so calm.' Emily also described Alistair as her 'literal rock' and can not picture her life with anyone else. She added: 'All the cliches of life become true when you fall in love and have a baby. He's my rock, but he really, literally, is my rock; I couldn't do life with anyone else but him.' She explained that they had hoped to have a family of their own after a year of dating and discovered her pregnancy in November 2023 when she realised she had missed a period. She told The Times: '[Alistair] joked, "Let's buy a pregnancy test then" We did and I was pregnant. 'It was the happiest, most perfect day of my life. Not long afterwards, he packed all his stuff in a van in Manchester where he lived and arrived at my house.' The actress explained that shortly after this, they bought a house together and Barney conveniently arrived the day after they finished unpacking. Emily has a large number of cousins courtesy of the sprawling families of both her parents, actress Kate and singer father Keith Atack, who split in 2007. Alistair hails from her mother's side, being the stepson of Kate's sister Jane who married his father Stephen Garner, who passed away in the summer of 2023, leaving Emily devastated.

‘Embarrassing': Pop singer sparks debate after paying for her boyfriend's meal
A photo of pop singer Olivia Rodrigo paying for a meal for herself and her boyfriend has sparked a viral debate. The 22-year-old singer, rumoured to have a net worth of over $25 million, was seen tapping her card via her phone while her actor boyfriend, Louis Partridge, 22, watched. Partridge is a working actor known for his work in television shows like Disclaimer and Pistol, but he certainly isn't on the same income level as Rodrigo. Rodrigo's critically acclaimed Guts tour, which spanned four continents, reportedly grossed over $180 million. There are no estimates of Partridge's wealth online, but it is probably fair to assume he is doing better than most 22-year-olds; however, he isn't exactly headlining world tours like his girlfriend. Either way, the fact that Rodrigo looked like she paid for a meal in her long-term relationship has got people riled up. The Gen Z pair have been together since late 2023. They have certainly been seen as 'couple goals' in the past, with Partridge often supporting her at her sold-out shows. They're also not interested in hiding their relationship and are photographed hanging out with friends, going shopping, and attending events together. They've always been a very uncontroversial couple … well, until she paid for some food. The photo of Rodrigo covering their bill went viral, garnering over 15 million views and getting people quite riled up. The original poster of the photo, from a fan account on X, took immediate issue with Rodrigo paying for their date. 'Now why is Louis having my girl paying the check? Olivia Rodrigo get up,' the caption read. It quickly morphed into a viral debate on who should foot the bill. Some people argued that it didn't matter if Rodrigo is a multi-millionaire, her boyfriend should still always be the one paying. 'I feel bad for Olivia. She deserves better,' one wrote. 'I will never understand a woman who rides so hard for splitting or paying the bill,' someone else said. Another person argued that only 'a boy' would let a woman pay and a real man would always cover the bill, while another went full-throttle and said women 'defending this are so pathetic'. Adding: 'Men will never defend you like this, you're embarrassing yourself.' Someone else claimed that her paying would just make her boyfriend feel like a 'broke loser' and was a flex. Other people argued that Rodrigo is the 'breadwinner' and question why she shouldn't be paying. Pointing out that she is a millionaire, so paying for a simple dinner wouldn't be a big deal. 'This is not a bad thing at all,' someone reasoned. 'Paying for dinner makes no dent in her pockets at all, she probably doesn't even think about it,' one argued. 'God forbid a woman wants to be accountable,' someone else joked. 'Why can't she pay for their meal? You don't know anything about their relationship. Maybe they pay every other outing. Maybe she wants to treat her man,' one theorised. Another person else pointed out that not every couple is obsessed with 'gender roles', and women paying now is normal.

Billy Brownless poses cryptic question to his Instagram followers, as he and girlfriend Crystle pose for loved-up snaps during romantic getaway
Billy Brownless and his girlfriend Crystle Fleur have been celebrating their one-year anniversary in style, as the pair shared several snaps of themselves looking smitten during their romantic getaway. Fleur has taken to Instagram over the past week to share several snaps of the couple taking in the scenery on Western Australia 's stunning coast. They stopped off to take in the stunning crystal-blue waters overlooking Ningaloo Reef, Australia's largest fringing coral reef. The pair beamed from ear-to-ear as they posed for a quick hug together while standing on a sandy hill next to the beach. Brownless revealed on his Instagram that the pair had 'left Shark Bay without even seeing a single shark,' before revealing the one thing that left him amazed about Western Australia. 'I can't believe how big the Ants are over here,' he said. Fleur, 52, and Brownless, 58 then headed in-land for a tour of the Karijini National Park, which is nestled in the Hamersley Ranges. They posed for a snap in front of a lagoon on the Hamersley Gorge, with Brownless showing the couple scaling rocks and taking a dip in the lagoon. Earlier in the week, Brownless revealed the relationship question he posed to Crystle, asking: 'If I came with a warning label, what would it be?' But on Saturday, he published a set of images, along with a question and a picture of the sky. 'If you knew I'd never ask again, what truth would you finally tell me?' the question read. He captioned the post: 'Day five, six and seven of our big adventure!!! Coral Bay to Karijini National Park - Seven hours!! Breakfast at Bullara Station. We discovered Joffre Gorge where I sat and reflected.' Brownless admitted that camping was 'not so bad' while listing several other locations that they had visited. He then wrapped up the caption by writing: 'And finally the question... Help.' The pair then headed further north to Cable Beach. Fleur revealed that the pair had been out along the coast and had spent the day spotting humpback whales in the ocean. 'A little windswept but what an awesome day with humpback whales,' she wrote, having also shared a snap of the pair enjoying a cold beverage at the luxurious Cable Beach Club Resort. It comes after Fleur, a mum-of-three, had hinted that they would be marking their relationship milestone with 'their biggest adventure yet'. 'Happy 1st anniversary to this amazing man!' she added. The pair were congratulated on the milestone by many friends, family members and some big names from the footy world. Ex-Collingwood and Carlton star Dale Thomas dropped into the comments, alongside 7News presenter Rebecca Maddern. Fleur is the owner of Geelong-based equestrian company Erinvale Thoroughbreds. A legend of the Geelong football club, Brownless enjoyed a glittering 11-year career in footy's top flight. He made 198 appearances for the Cats, kicking a whopping 441 goals during that time to be crowned the club's leading goal kicker for the 1991 and 1992 seasons. After retiring in 1997, Brownless pursued a career in the media, going on to join up with Nine's The Sunday Footy Show, and Triple M Melbourne's The Rush Hour with James Brayshaw. He had previously been married to Nicky Brownless for 18 years before the couple parted ways in 2015.

Lina shared how her and her husband had a 'mid life glow up' in their 50s and have never looked better. 2 2 On her @lina_fit_ account, she showed a timeline of photos from over the years, including how they are now ripped later in life with washboard abs and toned bodies. The 52-year-old wrote: 'Our glow up in our 50s. 'Proof that making your health and fitness a priority will have you looking and feeling your best in your 50s.' Lina said that out of all the decades of her life, they feel like this chapter is where they feel most peak. Thankfully she shared the secrets behind her impressive glow up. The first thing they do is prioritise their strength training, and train four or five times a week and focus on 'moving' their bodies. They also make sure they have a balanced diet full of whole nutritious food, and limit their alcohol intake. Finally, they ensure they 'enjoy down time and relax.' Her impressive account, which has racked up over 86,000 followers, includes many of her fitness tips. Many people were hugely impressed with her transformation, with one saying: 'Respectfully maam i thought you were your husband's daughter.' Another added: 'Oh wow! You guys look amazing!! #goals.' And a third commented: 'Manifesting this for my husband and I!' She's not the only person to go through a mid life glow up. MIDLIFE ABS We previously reported how a mum-of-two shared 'glow up secrets' after 'ditching her old lady body' to become ripped at 51. Billie Steele started struggling with her weight after her second child and soon tipped the scales at 13st 5lbs and a size 16. She hit the gym, overhauled her diet and turned her life around to become a ripped 51-year-old. Billie is now a slender 9st 2lbs and a size eight. Looking back at old photos, she can barely recognise herself. Billie hits the gym four days a week for resistance training, runs three days a week and walks 10,000 steps a day. She eats home-cooked protein rich wholefoods and avoids alcohol. How to blast belly fat WITHOUT going to the gym or dieting Chew your food This mindfulness trick is used to focus your brain on the food you are eating - how it tastes and feels - rather than scoffing it in a hurry. If the brain does not register that you have eaten, you'll soon crave more food. Avocado a day Eating avocado every day can fight visceral fat in women, which collects around the organs in the stomach and can lead to diabetes, heart attack, and some cancers, according to a University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign study of 105 people. Avoid fizzy drinks Losing belly 'fat' may just be a case of preventing bloating, which can be onset by fizzy soft drinks. Instead, keep hydrated with water. Reduce alcohol Alcohol does no favours at all for our health or figures. It is 'empty calories', meaning it contributes to your calorie intake without giving any nutritional benefit. Hangovers can also lead you to eat more fatty foods, while putting you off exercising. Sleep more Various studies have shown that if you're not sleeping well, it can cause weight gain. People are more likely to crave junk food when they are sleep deprived because, not only are they in need of an energy boost, but their appetite hormones are all over the place. Reduce stress Stress causes an imbalance of hormones, particularly cortisol. This hormone has been linked with obesity and excess belly fat. Find ways to reduce your stress to avoid the so-called 'stress belly'.
