Moment Ryanair flight chaos erupts ‘after brawl sparked by crying baby' – as ‘cops called & passengers stuck on tarmac'

THIS is the moment a Ryanair flight was plunged into chaos as a brawl broke out, understood to have been triggered by a crying baby. Police were called to the flight, travelling from London Stansted to Lisbon, shortly before 7pm yesterday evening. 4 4 Terrified children can be heard screaming and crying in the background while passengers stand in the aircraft's aisle. One mum is heard saying: "It's okay, we're going now," as she tries to comfort her child. Tempers are understood to have flared once the plane touched down in Lisbon. Local reports claim a fight broke out between two passengers, sparked by a crying baby. Police were then called to deal with the disturbance, keeping everyone onboard until officers arrived. It is understood that the baby had been crying earlier on in the flight, but tensions only erupted into chaos after the aircraft landed. A Ryanair spokesperson told The Sun: "The crew of this flight from London Stansted to Lisbon (12 Aug) called for police assistance after two passengers became disruptive onboard. "The aircraft was met by local police and these passengers were removed. "Ryanair has a strict zero tolerance policy towards passenger misconduct and will continue to take decisive action to combat unruly passenger behaviour, ensuring that all passengers and crew travel in a safe and respectful environment, without unnecessary disruption. "This is a matter for local police." Shocking moment Ryanair passenger sobs & hits door after being stopped from boarding as her 'hand luggage was too big' Last month, a female Ryanair passenger was left sobbing on her knees after being banned from boarding her flight. The tearful woman was left hitting a door in an emotional outburst as airport staff reportedly told her that her hand luggage was too big. Chaos unfolded at Sofia Airport in Bulgaria when the woman was left screaming, sobbing and venting her frustration over Ryanair 's strict baggage policy. A packed flight was due to board a bus to their plane when the female passenger was stopped in the queue. Nikolay Stefanov, a witness to the shocking ordeal, said the woman was told she had to pay for extra baggage because her luggage didn't fit in the holdall. The woman refused to pay as she explained her bag could in fact fit. A Ryanair spokesperson told The Sun: "This passenger booked a Basic Fare ticket for this flight from Sofia to Vienna which allowed them to carry a small personal bag onboard. "As this passenger's bag exceeded the permitted size, they were correctly required to pay a standard gate baggage fee however refused to do so and became aggressive towards gate staff. "As a result of their aggressive behaviour, the gate agent denied this passenger boarding for this flight from Sofia to Vienna." 4

Footage shows chaos on board UK Ryanair flight as 'brawl sparked by crying baby sees police called and passengers held on the plane for an hour after landing'

Dramatic footage shows the chaos onboard a British Ryanair flight after a fight sparked by a crying baby broke out. Police were called after a fight broke out between two passengers on the flight, understood to be flight FR1882, on August 12. Footage taken on the plane, which was flying from London Stansted to Lisbon, showed multiple children wailing as dozens of people shouted over each other. One mother was seen trying to console her child, telling them: 'It's okay, it's okay. We're going now.' One man appeared to restrain another in front of the mum trying to console her young child. Local media reported that Tempers only flared when the plane landed in Lisbon and headed for the gate. Because police were called to deal with the escalating tensions, everyone onboard was held on the plane for roughly an hour. The Daily Mail has contacted Ryanair for comment. Earlier this month, a young man caused a two-hour flight delay after he was escorted off a Ryanair plane by six cops for allegedly vaping in the toilet. The 21-year-old was removed after being accused of committing an aviation offence. Footage of the incident was captured by fellow passenger Tristan James Walker captured after he claims the toilet smoke alarm was set off. The incident took place at Edinburgh Airport on a Ryanair plane heading to Alicante, Spain. According to Mr Walker, 39, the flight was set to depart at 9.45am only for it to be allegedly delayed due to staff sickness. After the alarm sounded, the pilot is said to have informed the 21-year-old 'vaper' he would be removed from the plane. Mr Walker said that at least six officers boarded the aircraft to remove the man, who was taken into a van. Police confirmed the 21-year-old was charged in connection with an aviation offence.

Delta passenger's viral video ignites debate over how parents should handle screaming babies on planes

A Delta passenger has sparked a viral debate about an age-old traveling question: How do you handle a crying baby on a plane? A Barstool Sports contributor, Pat McAuliffe, shared a video on X on Saturday of himself sitting on a plane, while a baby could be heard crying off-camera. He went on to roll his eyes and stare blankly at the camera, visibly annoyed by the screaming baby on his flight. In the caption, McAuliffe shared his candid thoughts about how the parents should have soothed the baby. 'If your child is screaming on a flight (that's late with no AC and hasn't taken off yet @Delta) show it a f***ing phone,' he wrote in his post, which has more than 15 million views. 'Brain rot the baby on TikTok until it's quiet. Is that too much to ask?' In a follow-up video of himself on the flight, as the baby was still crying, McAuliffe clarified his initial comments about how parents care for their babies on a plane. 'I do feel bad for the parents but at some point you gotta try something new. Walk his ass up and down the aisle, distract him, do something. It's still going on. Simply praying it'll stop is not acceptable,' he added. He then questioned at what point the baby's screaming 'becomes a medical emergency,' since the child was 'crying for two hours.' 'Also why are these people not at least talking to their kid to soothe him? STAND UP AND WALK HIM AROUND,' McAuliffe concluded. Many people, including parents, criticized McAuliffe's harsh response to the crying child. 'As a parent of three, shut the f*** up and put your headphones and enjoy the flight. That parents is in absolute hell,' one wrote. 'Is it too much to ask to buy proper noise-cancelling headphones..?' another added. 'I can guarantee you that the parent is stressing out way more than you flying by yourself with ear buds in. Grow up,' a third responded. Others went on to urge McAuliffe to react to the situation differently, with one writing: 'Bro, if this is the worst thing in your life, consider yourself lucky. Man up and see if the mom is okay and if she needs anything. She is probably trying her best.' However, some people instead claimed the parents on the flight should have soothed their crying baby on the flight. They also shared some of the bad experiences they've had with loud babies on a plane. 'I agree. This is the parents' fault. I have two and we can entertain our babies on the plane,' one responded. 'If the babies cry you are failing as a parent. Plain and simple. Get creative.' 'This happened to us, and while I'm fine with crying babies, it went on for three hours with the parents doing nothing, seemingly immune to their baby's screams,' another wrote. 'A responsible parent would consult a pediatrician before the flight for tips on making a baby comfortable with flying.' 'It's awful. This just happened to us recently. Sat in business, the flight was pretty empty,' a third wrote. 'No one behind or in front of us. Suddenly, flight attendants placed a family with two wild kids right behind us. Screaming, crying, kicking, and slapping the trays non-stop. Absolute torture.' Last year, a mother named Jess also sparked a debate when she shared a video of her baby crying on a three-hour plane. She admitted she became 'progressively more and more defeated' on the journey. However, she wanted to share the video to let other mothers know it's not their fault if they can't stop their baby from crying for long periods of time. Spaulding's post quickly sparked debate on TikTok, with commenters divided between users who said the situation was their 'nightmare as a passenger' and others who empathized with the mother.
