Bloody handprints found near bodies of 3 missing girls killed on visit with dad Travis Decker as cause of death emerges

TWO bloody handprints were found on the truck of the dad who is on the run after he allegedly killed his three daughters. The Decker sisters who were allegedly murdered by their dad, Travis Decker, likely died of asphyxiation. 5 5 5 5 5 Paityn, 9, Evelyn, 8, and Olivia, 5, were found dead at a campground in Washington state on Monday after their mom reported them missing on Friday. Cops are still searching for Decker, 32, who is accused of killing his daughters during a planned custody visit on Friday. Near where the girls' bodies were found, cops located Decker's white 2017 GMC Sierra truck, which he was reportedly living out of at the time of the gruesome crime. His car was found abandoned with two bloody handprints, police records show. It's unclear who left the handprints. Personal items like car seats, blankets, food, and a wallet were left on the center console of the truck. Cops said the campsite showed signs of being recently used as a tent was set up with a cooler. The girls' bodies were found at around 5 pm on Monday near the Rock Island Campground in Wenatchee, which is about three hours east of Seattle. Decker's cell phone activity showed he went to the same campground a day before the kidnapping, police records said. He picked his daughters up from their mom, Whitney Decker, at around 5 pm on Friday for a scheduled three-hour visit. In interviews with police, Whitney recalled that her ex-husband was "quieter than usual" during the exchange, which was "out of character" for him. She also told cops that he had been considering getting rid of his dog due to housing and financial struggles. Decker is a veteran who cops say is mentally unstable. He had been homeless and living out of his truck and hotels.

Woman's Ex Tried to Crash Her Vacation. But When He Got to the Airport His Passport Didn't Work and She Knows Why

A woman detailed a recent travel incident that involved her ex-husband trying to crash an international trip she planned with their two kids She explained that she and her ex had a messy divorce and that he owes her unpaid child support Because he's behind on payments, she suspected his passport would be revoked, but she didn't tell him before he got to the airportA woman's ex-husband planned to follow her on vacation, but his trip was foiled after he ran into an issue with his passport. He didn't expect it — but she did. The mom of two shared her story on Reddit's 'Am I The A—hole' forum, retelling how her ex tried to crash an international trip she had planned with their kids. She claims she and her former husband had a messy divorce two years before the incident, alleging he 'began an affair" after the birth of their second child. She says he 'fought me every step and it took over a year to finalize.' While she gained primary custody of their kids, she notes that she still needs her ex's permission to bring them out of the country. Recently, the original poster (OP) shares that she was planning to travel abroad to visit family with her 8-year-old son and 5-year-old daughter. When she told her ex she wanted to go on the trip with their kids, she claims he said he always wanted to visit her family's country and was coincidentally planning to go at the same time as them. 'I was already anticipating this," she writes, "because following us is something he does EVERY time I take the kids on a trip." So she was ready with all the above-board documentation. "My lawyer drafted a document to be signed and notarized that I was being given permission to take our kids out of the country for the specific dates. She also included a clause that he has up until 72 hours prior to the day of travel to revoke his permission. He agreed.' The day of the trip, she arrived at the airport with her kids while her former spouse got there 'much later" only to find out upon trying to check in for the flight that his passport was revoked. While he was stunned by the news, the OP admits, she wasn't totally in the dark as to why that might have been the case. Another result of the divorce, she writes, was that he was ordered to pay child support, which she claims he has 'never done.' She explains that she signed up for enforcement so she doesn't have to 'badger' him about it, but he's still 'so far behind' that enforcement has 'suspended just about everything they can,' the OP writes. 'They send notices to him when this happens, but I'm sure he doesn't open them,' she claims. She later claims in an edit of the post that her ex can afford the payments, but chooses not to. 'Turns out his passport was revoked due to lack of [child support] payment. He was denied at check-in and there's no way he can get his passport reinstated without paying his arrears in full,' she writes. Once he figured out that he wouldn't be able to crash the vacation, she says, "He said that since he can't go, he no longer gives me permission to take [the kids]." In response to which, the OP "Reminded him that we are past the 72 hrs for him to deny my travel request.' 'I don't think I'm the a------ for continuing our trip; but I am questioning whether I'm an a------ for not giving him a heads up that he should check his passport. I didn't know it was revoked for sure, but I suspected,' she writes. In the comments, the majority of users jumped in to tell the mother she didn't do anything wrong. 'It is not your responsibility to keep track of his passport. He would have received official communication of some sort advising of the block on his passport. Disregarding his mail is 100% on him,' one user wrote. Another added, 'Ex needs to put on his big boy pants and read his mail. You aren't his mom,' followed by a different user who echoed, 'Oh darn, the consequences of his actions are catching up to him. You're not his secretary.' According to the Office of Child Support Services, the U.S. State Department can revoke a passport if a parent owes $2,500 or more in past-due child support payments. It will send the parent a rejection notice in the mail when this happens. If a parent owes $2,500 or more in child support payments, then they are also not eligible to apply for a passport either, according to the State Department's official website. Investigation ordered into death of mum found unresponsive in her jail cell after murdering young daughter

A community is reeling after a mother accused of fatally stabbing her three-year-old daughter died in custody, sparking a corrective services review. A vigil to remember 'beautiful little girl' Sophia Rose near Bundaberg in southern Queensland was held before locals heard the tragic news of her mother Lauren Ingrid Flanigan's death. Queensland Premier David Crisafulli on Monday said 'some explanations' were needed over the Brisbane death in custody, with a review underway. Emergency services found Sophia outside a home with several stab wounds on May 26 and she died at the scene. After being charged with her daughter's murder, Flanigan was found unresponsive in her cell at Brisbane Women's Correctional Centre on May 30. The 32-year-old had suffered a 'medical emergency' in her cell before being rushed to Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane where she died two days later on Sunday. Queensland Corrective Services on Monday said a report would be prepared for the coroner, describing it as 'standard practice for all deaths in custody'. Mr Crisafulli said questions needed to be answered in a 'full and thorough' investigation into Flanigan's death to ensure the incident was not brushed 'under the carpet'. After being charged with her daughter's murder, Lauren Flanigan (pictured) was found unresponsive in her cell at Brisbane Women's Correctional Centre on May 30 'This incident proves that there are some explanations that are needed,' he told reporters on Monday. 'We owe it to everyone involved, people who work in the facility, families of people who have tragically lost their life, to get to the bottom of it.' He said the corrective services system needed to be reviewed in the wake of Flanigan's death. 'For those who do need to be held in custody, we have a duty to provide safe facilities,' he said. 'I think it's important that we don't brush it under the carpet.' The Moore Park Beach community is grieving after coming together to celebrate Sophia on Sunday. Hundreds came dressed in pink and with sparkles, Sophia's favourite things, at the gathering organised by Bundaberg local Trish Mears. Sophia was remembered for her love of dance and a child who had an 'absolute love of life'. MMA fighter dad and mine worker Jai Ruane is pictured on Sophia's first birthday 'She was just a beautiful little girl who was just full of life and lit up a room when she walked into it,' Ms Mears told AAP. Friends, family and supporters blew bubbles and wrote messages in the sand while Sophia's favourite song, 'Sky Full of Stars' by Coldplay, played. 'It was absolutely beautiful and I could certainly feel her spirit there,' Ms Mears said. The vigil aimed to kickstart the healing process for the grieving community with many attendees who did not know each other sharing hugs and kind words, Ms Mears said. But the news of Flanigan's death ensured Sunday ended on a 'tragic' note, she said. Ms Mears, the president of Moore Park Beach Arts Inc, said the community would also honour Sophia at their local festival in August. A GoFundMe set up for Sophia's father and siblings has so far raised $55,000. Lifeline 13 11 14
