'Netflix reveals fate of hit show' - just days after Holly Willoughby's Celebrity Bear Hunt was given the AXE
Netflix has reportedly commissioned a third season of the hit reality dating show Love Is Blind - just days after Holly Willoughby 's big-budget show Celebrity Bear Hunt was cancelled. According to The Sun, the streaming giant is eager to press ahead with another instalment of the dating series, even before the second season has aired. The reality show invites singles to fall in love without ever seeing each other, let alone kissing. Married couple Emma, 49, and Matt Willis, 42, host the UK version of the global format, which sees contestants date from either side of a wall, aiming to reach a marriage proposal. Only once they have become engaged are the couples allowed to meet face-to-face. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the Daily Mail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. The series then follows them as they decide whether to go through with the wedding and prove that love truly can be blind. The first season was a massive success, attracting 40.9 million views in its first month. Discussing the future of the show, a source told the publication: 'Everyone at Netflix was thrilled when the UK took to Love Is Blind as passionately as its global counterparts. 'The second series will air this summer, but Netflix has begun work on series three as it's such a no-brainer.' MailOnline has contacted Netflix for comment. The news follows the cancellation of Celebrity Bear Hunt, which has been axed after just one season. The programme, which was set in Costa Rica and was hosted by Holly, 44, alongside Bear Grylls, 50, will not return for another series despite Bear hoping it would. Sources close to the show, which aired in February, say that while the ratings did well, it was expensive to make, and Netflix is now planning to do more live events rather than pre-recorded shows. A source told MailOnline: 'Everyone was very proud of the show, but when it came to it, it was just so expensive to make. 'You had to have a whole set in Costa Rica, loads of staff and loads of celebrities. The overheads were eyewatering.' It is understood that cheaper locations were looked at, but nothing appeared to be suitable. Celebrity Bear Hunt had an impressive lineup of celebrities, including Spice Girl Mel B and tennis player Boris Becker, who would not have been cheap to hire, according to sources. Other celebrities that took part included Lottie Moss, Danny Cipriani, Big Zuu, Joe Thomas, Kola Bokinni, Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen, Leomie Anderson, Shirley Ballas, Steph McGovern and Una Healy. The show, which was Holly's first programme with Netflix, featured twelve celebrities who are sent to a jungle in Costa Rica, where they were forced to avoid being hunted down by Grylls. Along the way, the celebrities faced various challenges and had to solve puzzles.

Jackie 'O' Henderson shares never-before-seen details about her new dating show Stranded On Honeymoon Island
Jackie 'O' Henderson has revealed never-before-seen details about her new upcoming dating show Stranded On Honeymoon Island. The KIIS FM radio star, 50, recorded the narration for the Channel Seven series, which was filmed over a year and a half ago. After pushing back the air date, Jackie has now revealed the show is set to release in June as she opened up on Tuesday about what viewers can expect to see. 'They marry the [contestants]. They turn up, they pair the people. Then they are stuck on an island, kind of like on Survivor, on their own,' Jackie said on her radio show. 'It's your two favourite shows. MAFS [Married At First Sight] and Survivor,' co-host Kyle Sandilands said. 'I know. They are just stuck together on a beach,' Jackie said, before Kyle, 53, asked if any of the contestants hook up and get steamy on camera. 'Some do and some definitely don't,' Jackie explained. 'There is this one girl on there who is the type of girl when she gets feelings, she runs away. 'She genuinely gets feelings for this guy but then the avoidant side kicks in and she can't run. Watching her—she's never had to go through this before.' But there was little else Jackie could reveal about the woman, as Kyle asked, 'Does she spiral?' to which his glamorous co-host responded: 'Yes. But I can't say much.' 'It's just interesting to watch that human behaviour,' Jackie said. The media personality went on to detail the gruelling workload she underwent while recording the narration for the upcoming reality TV show. 'When you're narrating a show, it's time consuming. They play the footage for every little scene you have to narrate,' she said. 'Then you'll hear three beeps, as soon as you hear that last beep, you start talking. 'You've got to fit it in perfectly because then someone will start talking. The footage is done, you have to slot in.' Jackie said it was an impractical way to record the audio, adding that she offered to just record each line up to twelve times and let editors pick which version worked. She also revealed Stranded On Honeymoon Island will air on Seven next month, though the exact day has yet to be announced. It comes after the cast of the ill-fated series called for the show to be axed after being left in the dark about its future. Originally scheduled to air before the end of 2024, the heavily hyped dating series was pushed back indefinitely, leaving contestants fuming at Seven's lack of communication. One disgruntled bride set to appear on the show vented her frustration. 'We've had enough. We've all put our lives on hold for this, and now we're just sitting here waiting for a decision,' she told Daily Mail Australia. 'Some of us have moved on and started new relationships—one of the guys even proposed to his girlfriend in real life!' The bride, who wishes to remain anonymous, added it's 'insulting' to still be under contract after such a long delay. 'We were told to keep quiet, no relationships, no social media posts. We're basically living like prisoners, while Seven plays games with us,' she added. 'Some of the cast were even hoping to make it as influencers by now, but instead, they're back on job hunts. It's beyond frustrating.' The show, based on a Danish format, was originally slated to air between October 1 and December 31, 2024. The premise of Stranded on Honeymoon Island sees six singles, all looking for love, get matched up and sent to a 'deserted' island to test their compatibility. Amidst gruelling hardship and isolation, sparks are meant to fly and survival instincts kick in.

Future of Cheat: Unfinished Business 'already decided' - just days after Netflix dating show was released
The future of Cheat: Unfinished Business has reportedly been decided - just 10 days after the dating show was released on Netflix. The nine-part series, co-presented by Amanda Holden and relationship expert Paul Carrick Brunson, sees eight ex-couples who broke up because of infidelity head to a Spanish retreat to work out their differences. It only hit the streamer on April 30 - but it has proved massively popular already, in the list of the platform's top 10 most-watched programmes in 22 countries, including the UK and US. Fans of the reality show, filmed between May and June last year, will be delighted to know the dating programme is reportedly set to return for a second series. And Netflix bosses have said host Amanda, known as a judge on Britain's Got Talent and for co-hosting Heart Breakfast on weekdays with Jamie Theakston, is a big part of the appeal. A source told The Sun: 'Netflix know she is in huge demand and want to make sure that if a second series gets commissioned, she is available to take the reins once more. 'There was always the hope Cheat had the potential for a sequel, but since it dropped it's got a great response so another season is a no-brainer. 'But in the current climate where competition is fierce, particularly among dating shows, these decisions can go either way. Producers of the show are confident, however.' The dating show is different to the kinds of programmes Amanda normally makes - but it is a change she has adjusted to well, according to TV execs. Viewers also seem to appreciate the variation in format compared to other dating shows. Bosses think Amanda's dynamic with co-host Paul is a massive part of the show's appeal. MailOnline has contacted Netflix for comment. However, accommodating her availability might prove the biggest challenge to a second series, with the 54-year-old presenter boasting a busy and ever-growing presenting schedule. She and comedian friend Alan Carr are set to film a fourth series of their home renovation programme. The show was first known as Amanda and Alan's Italian Job, which saw the pair redo rundown homes in Sicily and Tuscany, before heading to Spain for the Spanish Job last season - ahead of going to Greece for the new series. A Spanish Christmas Special has also already been filmed and will air during this year's festive season. The double act presenters have also signed a deal with Netflix for a new collaborative programme, the nature of which is still to be revealed. Amanda is also set to host new BBC teatime quiz show The Inner Circle, which will see contestants take on a series of general knowledge and strategic thinking rounds to compete for a cash prize. They must decide which of their opponents they would be prepare to ally with to get closer to the prize - but it is possible their chosen teammate could turn on them for their own advantage. Members of the public will take part in the 25 episodes, the release date of which is still to be confirmed, with six additional specials with celebrity guest contestant also set to be filmed. The success of Amanda's Netflix dating show is a major contrast to Holly Willoughby's new programme on the streamer, Celebrity Bear Hunt - which faces the axe. The second series of the jungle adventure show, which was held in Costa Rica, is yet to be approved despite several meetings. It has been reported that the show, which proved to be a hit with viewers and critics, needs to have mega-budget cuts if it is to return with hosts Holly, 44, and Bear Grylls, 50, likely to face pay cuts. A cheaper location is also being sought, as well as plans for fewer expensive celebrities after the likes of Spice Girl Mel B and tennis player Boris Becker were among the 12 stars in the first series. Other celebrities that took part included Lottie Moss, Danny Cipriani, Big Zuu, Joe Thomas, Kola Bokinni, Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen, Leomie Anderson, Shirley Ballas, Steph McGovern and Una Healy. A source told the Sun: 'It got excellent reviews and was a brilliant production. Bosses were happy with its performance. 'Yet if it is recommissioned, cuts will 100 per cent be made and this could include talent salaries — both Holly and Bear as well as the celebs. 'All measures are being explored. As to location, think Clacton or Croatia, not Costa Rica.' MailOnline contacted Netflix, Holly Willoughby and Bear Grylls' representatives for comment at the time.
