Del Monte Foods Files for Bankruptcy With Plans to Pursue Sale
Packaged-foods maker Del Monte Foods, a U.S. unit of Singapore-based Del Monte Pacific, has filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy with plans to pursue a sale.
Del Monte Foods said it has reached a restructuring support agreement with a group holding some of its term-loan debt that contemplates the Walnut Creek, Calif., company undertaking a going-concern sale process for all or substantially all of its assets.
