I'm a size 14 fashion editor and always struggle with Zara buys but there's 10 new-in pieces that flatter everyone

Abby McHale Published: Invalid Date, ZARA is one of the most popular shops on the UK high street. However, there are currently only 58 stores dotted around the country, which means for many shopping online is the way to go. So if you ever feel overwhelmed at the thought of endless scrolling on the Zara website to see what you might want to add to the basket then look no further. As Deputy Fashion Editor I keep a close eye on the new in section of Zara. And as a size 14 with a fuller bust, like many, there are lots of things the Spanish retailer designs that don't cater for my figure. So after copious amounts of searching, I bring you my top ten pieces currently available to buy in store and online now, that are comfortable, flattering for all and won't break the bank. 10 Dress, £39.99 Shirt dresses are a style that really stand the test of time, plus they're versatile. You can wear them to the likes of the office and on holiday. This denim dress comes in at just under £40, it has a belt to add some shape which is a must otherwise they can look boxy and you can button up and down as you see fit. Whilst Zara is known for a lot of strappier options that don't always lend itself to those who want to keep their shoulders covered, this cap sleeve is super flattering. This is a dress that you could pull out year after year and it would still be just as trendy as when you first bought it. I can vouch that this skirt is great as I have it in my wardrobe already after picking it up not too long ago. I found the best place for bargains & now I'll go every weekend - I got Zara heels for £2 & FOUR pairs of boots for £10 Gingham is a really big print this season, however when do we not see some form of checks in fashion every year? I have already had so much wear out of this skirt, paired with t-shirts, shirts, fine knit jumpers as well as trainers, sandals and heels - money definitely well spent. What I love the most though about this skirt is how it doesn't cling to my middle like a lot of skirts can - it really does skim over my waist and the check pattern makes it even all the more flattering. A good sturdy shoulder bag is a good staple in everyone's wardrobe and if you're looking for a new one then this one from Zara is currently on sale. Reduced down to £25.99 from £39.99 that's 35 per cent off. The cream canvas fabric means that it will go with pretty much most of other outfits and it's big enough to a lot inside - perfect if you're someone who carries around everything but the kitchen sink. With an adjustable strap, interior zip and magnetic clasp to close, walking around with this you wouldn't believe this is less than £30. Trousers, £35.99 Life is too short to wear uncomfortable clothes and trousers can sometimes be one of the trickiest to get right. Linen is perfect for the summer months as it's so lightweight and these trousers are just £35.99. Coming with a raffia belt, the wide leg style will balance out your proportions and look super smart. Linen also doesn't have to be worn just on holiday, it's also great for at home too, with a blouse, t-shirt or shirt, they make for great summer trousers that once again you can make last year on year. Sandals, £59.99 The majority of sandals rub me, so I'm very cautious and picky when it comes to choosing a new pair. I've had my eye on this blue pair from Zara for a while now, at £59.99 they're not the cheapest in this lineup, however investing in a good pair of sandals that don't rub and last, is something money can buy. Not only is the colour slightly more intriguing than your classic neutrals, but the sandals are made from leather which means they are very soft which in turn will prevent them from rubbing. The back can be adjusted depending on how tight you want them too. Adds to basket. Shirt, £22.99 You really can't go wrong with a classic striped shirt. I've had many a Zara shirt in my wardrobe over the years and I love the quality. Plus this one in particular is just £22.99. The pink and white stripes adds a touch of fun and is great for this time of year. We all know how versatile a shirt can be too, worn either buttoned up or open with something worn underneath, there are so many ways and occasions you can utilise this, you will certainly be getting your money's worth. If pink isn't your colour then it also comes in green too. Co-ord top, £27.99 Trousers, £35.99 If you're looking for something perfect for your holiday that is comfy and flattering then this co-ord could be it. The top has straps that are thick enough to wear a bra with still and with a V shaped dip at the back is adds an extra element of interest. The trousers that go with are high waist with a belt if you wish to use. Plus the floral pattern is not only fun but flattering too. As always with a co-ord as well as wearing together for a coherent look, you can also mix the pieces separately with the rest of your wardrobe. Blazer, £45.99 Adding a blazer to your look is a sure fire way of making an outfit look sharp. Don't be put off by the fact that this blazer is labelled crop, it just falls on your hip meaning your midriff still will not be on show. The double breasted buttoning creates a more defined silhouette and the cropped sleeves also make this the perfect blazer for the summer months. Wear closed as seen here or open with a top underneath. White also goes with lots of other colours and this blazer in particular would look good thrown over a dress or just simply paired with jeans. Dress, £45.99 Boho is a big trend this season and so if you're looking at something to give a nod to this then take a look at this dress. A ruffled v-neckline will suit all, followed by a belt to add even more shape to the look. With cuffed sleeves and a green leaf print, the light weight fabric will be extra cooling in the months ahead. Don't worry about what shoes to wear with this dress, it really is one that goes with boots, sandals, heels and even trainers. These days midi dresses are few and far between on the high street- but this is certainly one that ticks a lot of boxes. Hottest fashion trends of 2025 Fabulous' Fashion Editor Clemmie Fieldsend shares the biggest trends from the high street. The East/West Bag Baguette bags have had a good run, after returning from the 1990s' shoulders of Sarah Jessica Parker to modern-day fashion icons, like Hailey Bieber. In 2025, the East/West bag is a similar but elongated shape and has long, thin straps that are easy to throw over your shoulder. They've been on runway models' arms at nearly ever designer show - think Burberry, Givenchy and Bottega Veneta - and are hitting the high street now, too. Powder pink Bright fuchsia pink had its day after the release of Barbie in 2023 and now the more polished and expensive-looking pale shade is taking over for 2025. Pantone may say that it's the year of Mocha Mousse, but the catwalks say otherwise! From Prada to Erdem, the subtle look was all over the spring/summer catwalks, worn head-to-toe or on its own. If the sugary shade is too girly for you, then look to sharp suiting for a androgynous take on the colour. The shell jacket The '80s classic is back, but with a sleek and minimal new twist for 2025. We all know we're likely to see rain for most of spring, so your practical coat of choice should be a cagoule jacket. Depop revealed one of its big trend predictions for this year is retro sportswear, with surges already seen in '80s windbreakers'. Seen everywhere from the stylish streets of Copenhagen to the Miu Miu catwalk, now mums who have an emergency raincoat crumpled underneath their pushchair are very much in fashion! The turn-up jeans While the shape of jeans remains the same for this year and barrel-legs will still be everywhere, the way we're styling them is different. This season, transform your wide-leg, baggy denims into turn-ups. For this look, size doesn't matter, so while deep turn-ups are a hit from jean trend-leaders Citizens of Humanity, a slight fold is still just as good - but only as it's just one single fold. Peep-toe shoe Get your pedicures booked in sharpish, as this season your toes are the main event. After a long hiatus, the peep-toe has been welcomed back into the fashion fold, with brands like Hermes, Miu Miu and Tory Burch showing plain and embellished footwear in this style. From mules to pumps and clogs (yes, clogs will be around too!), there are lots of different styles that are set to sweep the high street. Sheer blouses See-through looks have always lived on the catwalk, but have rarely filtered into everyday life - until now. Designers Ralph Lauren and Tom Ford loved sheer looks on their S/S '25 catwalks and M&S even had sellout success with its black sheer pencil skirt last season. Expect to see more sheer looks lining supermarket aisles and high street shops in the form of skirts, tops and frocks.
