CS: Tech to improve governance efficiency
Patna: Chief secretary Amrit Lal Meena on Monday formally launched the e-Office User Manual, marking a major step towards enhancing transparency, efficiency and accountability in administrative processes across the state.
The initiative is expected to expedite file handling and streamline official communication through digital means.
Speaking at the launch event, held in the conference room of the Old Secretariat, Meena said, "This will help in speeding up the handling of files in a more transparent way. It is a big step taken by the Bihar govt towards transparent administration."
The event was attended by key officials including additional chief secretary of the general administration department B Rajendra, additional director of BIPARD Safina AN and secretary of the general administration department Rachna Patil.
According to an official press release from the chief secretary's office, Meena emphasised that under the leadership of CM Nitish Kumar, the Bihar govt is continuously striving for transparency and speedy administrative processes. "The e-Office system is a unique initiative that will enable faster and more transparent handling of files. Our aim is to maximise the use of technology in administrative tasks and provide prompt services to the public," Meena said.
