Aqib Talib reacts to being snubbed by College Football Hall of Fame

Aqib Talib reacts to being snubbed by College Football Hall of Fame Nominees for the 2026 College Football Hall of Fame class were announced earlier this week, and six former Denver Broncos players made the list, including retired pass rusher Elvis Dumervil. Aqib Talib, meanwhile, was not among the ex-Denver players nominated. The retired cornerback played for Kansas, winning the Jack Tatum Trophy (given to college football's best defensive back) in his final season. Talib was also named a unanimous All-American in his last season, and he was named a first-team All-Big 12 player in 2006 and 2007 before entering the NFL in 2008. Talib reacted to his CFB HOF snub on his Twitter/X page earlier this week. "Y'all tell me," Talib tweeted. "Am I College football Hall of Fame? Go check the numbers (Offense & Defense) and accolades and let me know! Im just saying NFF! This was on my mind this morning." Talib played in 34 games with the Jayhawks from 2005-2007, totaling 162 tackles, 13 interceptions and two forced fumbles. He returned two of his interceptions for touchdowns, racking up 322 yards on 13 returns. Talib also hauled in nine receptions for 224 yards and five touchdowns during his final two seasons at Kansas. Talib went on to have a 12-year career in the NFL. A five-time Pro Bowler and two-time All-Pro, Talib helped the Broncos win Super Bowl 50 in 2015. He retired in 2020 with 35 career interceptions, 10 of which he returned for touchdowns (fourth-most in NFL history). Talib is also now eligible for the Pro Football Hall of Fame, but today's topic is college football. Do you think he should get in? Let us know on Facebook and Twitter/X! NFL bans one of Nik Bonitto's sack celebrations

NFL bans one of Nik Bonitto's sack celebrations Nik Bonitto will need a new sack celebration in 2025. Among the NFL's rule changes this year is a ban on the "nose wipe" gesture, ESPN's Benjamin Solak reported last week. The updated rule calls for a 15-yard penalty for 'any violent gesture, which shall include but not be limited to a throat slash, simulating firing or brandishing a gun, or using the 'nose wipe' gesture, or an act that is sexually suggestive or offensive.' In addition to Bonitto, other NFL players who have used the celebration include Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb and Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield. Charean Williams wrote last week that "the nose wipe is a gang sign associated with the Bloods, indicating someone is untrustworthy." Broncos defensive lineman Zach Allen, pass rusher Jonathon Cooper and ex-Denver linebacker Josey Jewell have been fined in the past for a finger gun sack celebration, another celebration that the NFL deems a violent gesture. Now the nose wipe gesture has been added to the list of banned celebrations. These 25 celebrities are Broncos fans

3 ex-Broncos quarterbacks playing in UFL this spring

The United Football League returns this week and there are 16 former Denver Broncos players suiting up for the 2025 season. The list of ex-Broncos playing in the UFL this spring includes three quarterbacks, with Kevin Hogan having the most notable (but still short-lived) tenure in Denver. Hogan (San Antonio Brahmas) spent the entire 2018 season as a backup with the Broncos behind Case Keenum, but he did not appear in any regular season games. Jarrett Guarantano (San Antonio Brahmas) and Case Cookus (Birmingham Stallions) are also rostered in the UFL. Guarantano joined Denver's practice squad late in the 2022 season, but he did not appear in any games. Cookus had a three-day stint with the Broncos in 2021 after trying out at rookie minicamp. Kelly is currently playing for the Toronto Argonauts in the CFL. In addition to the 16 ex-players, former Broncos defensive coordinators Wade Phillips (San Antonio Brahmas) and Mike Nolan (Michigan Panthers) will serve as head coaches in the UFL this year. Friday night's season opener will feature the St. Louis Battlehawks facing the Houston Roughnecks at TDECU Stadium on Fox. 16 ex-Broncos playing in the UFL this spring
