Sam Thompson 'splits from Love Island bombshell' after whirlwind romance
Sam Thompson has reportedly split from his Love Island bombshell girlfriend Samie Elishi after a brief romance - with the pair parting ways after just a few weeks of dating.
TV personality Sam Thompson's recent romance with Love Island's Samie Elishi appears to have come to an abrupt end, despite the relationship only just beginning. Made in Chelsea's Sam and Samie were spotted sharing a public kiss just weeks ago, but it's now been suggested that their initial spark has 'fizzled out'.
This marks Sam's second breakup in a short span of time, following the conclusion of his five-year relationship with Zara McDermott. Rumours are rife that Sam and Samie have ceased their flirty Instagram exchanges and haven't been seen together publicly for some time.
However, it was Samie's lack of support for Sam's recent autism diagnosis announcement that has been perceived as a clear indication that they're no longer an item.
Despite this, they continue to follow each other on Instagram, hinting at a possible amicable split.
Samie has since jetted off for a sun-drenched getaway with Space NK, joined by fellow ex-Love Islanders Maura Higgins, Amber Gill and Lana Jenkins. Yet, Sam is noticeably absent from the comments section of her Instagram posts.
Their relationship kicked off shortly after Samie returned from South Africa, where she participated in Love Island: All Stars. Unfortunately, she failed to find a match during the show, despite trying to form a bond with Luca Bish.
The bombshell breakup has emerged merely weeks after Samie first opened up about her burgeoning romance with Sam.
The 25 year old remained rather guarded while discussing the budding relationship on the 'Chloe Mediumship' podcast.
Reflecting on her prior romantic encounters, Samie admitted she often experienced an adverse gut reaction.
Yet, this time around, she indicated that things felt markedly different.
When queried about whether she harboured the same intuition, Samie shared: "There's been no bad stuff at the minute so yeah I suppose it is all positive right now. It's early days."
Sam's newfound closeness with Samie arose not long after his ex Zara McDermott's reveal of her relationship with One Direction's Louis Tomlinson.
Zara and Louis' relationship appears to be flourishing, as evidenced by their recent intimate getaway in Costa Rica.
One Direction favourite Louis, 33, and the Love Island star, 28, ignited relationship speculation at the beginning of this year after they were spotted having dinner and spending the night together at The Suffolk in Aldeburgh, following reports of Zara's growing closeness with the singer's half-siblings.
The couple flew to the US together earlier this month, following a cosy dinner at a Suffolk hotel. During their trip, they posted identical photos from a Stereophonics concert, and Zara subtly hinted at their relationship by including Louis' arm in a breakfast photo.
Zara and Louis have yet to publicly confirm their relationship, but they've been spotted engaging in public displays of affection, including holding hands during their American outing.
