Impressionist Reveals His Hilarious Bit That Gave Barack Obama ‘Serious PTSD'
Comedian Matt Friend returned to political mimicry during an interview on Ari Melber's MSNBC show on Wednesday and ― amid his mocking of President Donald Trump ― shared a behind-the-scenes moment that he said left even former President Barack Obama doing a double take. Friend recalled performing a joint bit with Obama at the 2024 Democratic National Convention where he (as Obama) and the ex-POTUS called on people to vote in the upcoming presidential election. After the interaction, Friend said he couldn't resist slipping into another impression ― this time of outgoing Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.). 'So, right after that interaction,' Friend recounted, 'I actually took out my McConnell glasses and said, 'Barack, it really is thrilling to be with you in the same room again.'' Obama, he said, didn't miss a beat and told him: 'You've got to put those glasses away. That is giving me serious PTSD. I mean, come on man.' King Charles pens personal note for Joe Biden after his cancer diagnosis
Britain's King Charles penned a personal note for former US President Joe Biden after the news of his cancer diagnosis. According to the PEOPLE's report, Buckingham Palace confirmed that the King, who himself is undergoing treatment for an undisclosed type of cancer, personally penned the message of support. The contents of the letter remain private. On Sunday, May 18, Joe Biden's office revealed that the former US president, 82, had been diagnosed with aggressive prostate cancer that has spread to his bones. The diagnosis came after Joe Biden reported experiencing urinary symptoms, prompting doctors to conduct further tests, which revealed a concerning nodule on his prostate. Biden's prostate cancer has been classified as Stage 4, with a Gleason score of 9—indicating one of the most aggressive forms of the disease—and has already spread to the bones, reported The New York Times, citing a statement from the ex-POTUS's office. Biden took to X to thank the public for the 'love and support' following the news of his cancer and said, 'Cancer touches us all. Like so many of you, Jill and I have learned that we are strongest in the broken places. Thank you for lifting us up with love and support.' In February 2024, Buckingham Palace confirmed that King Charles, 76, had been diagnosed with cancer and had started treatment. Although he was hospitalised a month earlier for an enlarged prostate, palace officials later clarified that his cancer is not prostate-related. Shortly after the news broke, Biden had expressed his 'concern' for the King, adding that "God willing," he'd be speaking to him soon in better health. The two leaders have met in person on multiple occasions, dating back to when Joe Biden was vice president and King Charles was still the Prince of Wales. Biden was the 13th and final US president Queen Elizabeth met before her passing in September 2022, and the first King Charles met after ascending the throne.

Melania Trump unveils Barbara Bush stamp, George W. noticeably absent
Amid a report that she rarely visits the White House, Melania Trump hosted an event to unveil the new Barbara Bush postage stamp in the formal East Room on Thursday. But former President George W. Bush was noticeably absent from the gathering to celebrate his mother, as was his younger brother, former Florida governor Jeb Bush. Even though the ex-POTUS performed his ceremonial duties and showed up to Trump's inauguration on Jan. 20 — with facial expressions that went viral — there's been long-simmering tensions between the Republican political dynasty and the polarizing MAGA leader. Even Barbara Bush herself had some strong words for Trump back in 2016, when she told CNN she was 'sick' of the president and the 'terrible things' he's said about women and the military. However, two of the 43rd president's other siblings, Neil Bush and Dorothy Bush Koch, were on hand for the event honoring their mom, who died in 2018 at the age of 92. In unveiling the new stamp, Melania Trump — who attended Bush's funeral while Donald Trump did not — praised the former first lady for how she 'changed the national conversation on AIDS and took a stand supporting gay rights.' 'Mrs. Bush's legacy is marked by her respect for tradition while also breaking with convention,' Melania said in her remarks. She also spoke of the Bush matriarch's 'conviction [and] dignity,' as well as her efforts to champion female empowerment. On behalf of the family, Bush Koch said: 'This special stamp serves as a lasting reminder of Barbara Bush's enduring love for family and friends, sharp wit and unwavering commitment to solve the problems of today by ensuring that every man, woman and child has the opportunity to read, write and comprehend.' The artwork of the commemorative Forever stamp is based on detail from Bush's official White House portrait during her husband's time as president. The stamp will officially be released on June 10 after a commemoration ceremony in Kennebunkport, Maine, where the Bush family's summer home is located. ___ © 2025 New York Daily News.
