Should the Chiefs sign ex-Packers CB Jaire Alexander before training camp?
Should the Chiefs sign ex-Packers CB Jaire Alexander before training camp? The Kansas City Chiefs sought to re-tool their roster in free agency and the draft over the last few months, but the team might want to consider making one more splash acquisition after the Green Bay Packers released star cornerback Jaire Alexander on Monday, June 9. Alexander, a seasoned veteran who entered the NFL as a first-round pick in the 2018 NFL draft, is considered one of the top cover cornerbacks in the league, though injuries have limited his availability in recent seasons. The news of Alexander's release was initially announced by NFL insider Ian Rapoport in a post to Twitter, and later confirmed by the NFL's official account: It remains unclear if the Chiefs might have a desire to add another cornerback to their roster at this point in the offseason, but Alexander's availability is noteworthy, given the poor performance of Kansas City's secondary in Super Bowl LIX earlier this year. According to the experts at the Chiefs presently have $10,884,108 in remaining salary cap, so any move to sign Alexander would need to pay significantly less than the $24,636,355 that the veteran cornerback was set to earn with Green Bay in 2025.

Terry Bradshaw slams Aaron Rodgers' drawn-out Steelers courtship: ‘Chew on bark'
Steelers legend Terry Bradshaw didn't hold back about his feelings on Aaron Rodgers possibly signing with Pittsburgh after an extended courtship. Rodgers still has not signed a deal with the Steelers despite all indications seeming to point to the union as the future Hall of Famer's offseason saga has dragged on into OTAs. Steelers owner Art Rooney II said earlier this month that the organization would wait 'a little longer' for Rodgers, but Bradshaw panned the idea of the ex-Packers and Jets QB coming to the Steel City. Mark J. Rebilas-Imagn Images 'That's a joke. That to me is just a joke,' Bradshaw said during an appearance on 103.7 The Buzz. 'What are you gonna do? Bring him in for one year, are you kidding me? That guy needs to stay in California. Go somewhere and chew on bark and whisper to the gods out there.' Rodgers is expected to ink a one-year deal with the Steelers, but nothing has officially materialized. Advertisement The QB did appear to hint at playing for the Steelers recently during a Q&A event hosted by rapper Mike Stud when he was asked if he'd play for the Bears, to which he gave a coy response. 'No, but I believe there's a team that might play in Chicago this year on a road trip,' Rodgers reportedly said, according to NFL Network. 'I don't know, not sure. Got to check it out.' The Steelers play against the Bears in Chicago on Nov. 23. Rodgers had previously said that part of the holdup for making a decision about his future had to do with the fact that someone close to him had been dealing with 'difficult stuff.' Bill Kostroun/New York Post He revealed in 'The Rogan Podcast' that a member of his inner circle had been dealing with cancer. 'I've been in the weeds with these people who are close to me that have cancer,' Rodgers said. Rodgers is coming off a season where he led the Jets to a 5-12 record and threw for 3,897 yards and 28 touchdowns.

Roger Goodell roasted for bizarre bicycle entrance at 2025 NFL Draft
Roger Goodell paid homage to a famed Packers training camp tradition of riding bikes to practice for his entrance for Day 1 of the NFL draft in Green Bay, though the internet found it more amusing than anything else. Goodell took the draft stage on two wheels on Thursday, doing a lap around as the boos rained down on him, a tradition at the draft that the NFL commissioner has embraced. The commish led several ex-Packers onto the stage along with rapper Lil Wayne, a well-known Packers fan. Advertisement After Goodell got off the bike, he then stepped to the podium and encouraged the crowd to emphatically boo him. 'Come on!' Goodell said while raising his hands over his head to encourage the boos. Advertisement 'OK, welcome to the 2025 NFL Draft in Green Bay, Wisconsin,' he then said pushing past the boos. 3 NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell rides a bike onstage before the first round of the NFL football draft, Thursday, April 24, 2025, in Green Bay, Wis. Ex-Steelers safety blasts Aaron Rodgers fiasco: 'It makes me sick'
Ex-Steelers safety blasts Aaron Rodgers fiasco: 'It makes me sick' Fans of the Black and Gold aren't the only ones disheartened by how the Pittsburgh Steelers allowed Aaron Rodgers to seemingly walk all over the Steel City throughout the 2025 free agency process — as an outspoken critic of the four-time MVP and former Steeler recently took aim at the entire situation. Former Steelers safety turned ESPN analyst Ryan Clark looked to throw his name back into the hat as one of Rodgers' biggest haters by first firing a shot at Pittsburgh over the signing-hold up that he claimed, "made him sick." On ESPN's Get Up, Clark stated that unless GM Omar Khan has a verbal guarantee that Rodgers will play for the Steel City in 2025, the situation has been embarrassingly mishandled by the Steelers. ESPN's Clark then claimed that Rodgers has done nothing over the past two years — or since leaving the Packers — to warrant this sort of waiting game with Pittsburgh. This is just the latest chapter between Rodgers and Clark, who previously had a back-and-forth spat when the ex-Packers QB called out the former players on the ESPN staff for trying to relive their former glory through their profession. The former Steelers safety infamously returned fire by calling Rodgers a "fraud" and boldly claimed that "[Rodgers] can throw a football, and that's where it stops.
